The "Friday the 13th" franchise's crop of Final Girls are known for their keen survival instincts onscreen, but the careers of the actresses who played them? Not quite as impressive. When was the last time you heard the name "Amy Steel"? Dana Kimmell? Melanie Kinnaman? In celebration of Friday the 13th, here's our brief rundown of the post-"F13" careers of every Final Girl in the (original) franchise, from Adrienne King to Lexa Doig. "Friday the 13th" (1980) Adrienne King (Alice Hardy) After briefly reprising her role in the film's 1981 sequel, King became the victim of a stalker (the man ultimately pulled a gun on her). Shaken by the experience, she didn't return to acting until the 2010 low-budget horror/sci-fi film "Psychic Experiment." "Friday the 13th Part 2" (1981) Amy Steel (Ginny) Steel actually has two claims to fame in the horror genre, as she also starred in the 1986 pseudo-slasher "April Fool's Day.

Christian Slater is a married man again after wedding fiancé Brittany Lopez in an impromptu wedding ceremony on Monday.
Slater, 44, who announced the engagement in February 2013, and Lopez, 26, wed in a small ceremony in a Miami courthouse. In May, Slater had said that he and Lopez were planning a small, backyard wedding to take place in July, but it appears those plans fell through. At the time, Slater explained why the couple wanted a small wedding, saying, “We had a big engagement party on the 31st of December and it was nice, it was like a New Year’s and we had all the family come, 200 people, so it kind of already feels like we did the wedding, so we are just going to do a nice backyard situation.”

Clueless no more, Dan Hedaya is bringing some fatherly love to The Mindy Project.
The veteran actor (Clueless, Family Ties) is making his way to the Fox comedy this season as Danny’s Mia deadbeat dad, Vulture reports.
Little is known about the installment other than that his character is named Alan Castellano and he lives in Joshua Tree — a fact that brings Danny and Mindy to the California desert town.

As TVLine previously reported, this same installment — penned by Kaling and recent Emmy winner Tracy Wigfield — “really advances [Danny and Mindy's] story romantically.” So… squee!

We've seen the pilots of ABC's new shows, and while they're not for review (things often change drastically before the shows are set to premiere), we do want to share our first reactions to what's coming in the fall and midseason.
This quick guide is designed to get you excited for some new shows ... and to warn you to curb your enthusiasm for others. Just keep in mind that we'll have full reviews of the final pilots closer to airdate. For now, here are our snap judgments of ABC's new shows for the 2013-2014 TV season.

There are eight new scripted shows coming to ABC that were ready to preview, and all of them left us with questions. Will funny lady Rebel Wilson charm on a sitcom? Can a show about a trophy wife manage to be endearing? And is a drama about life...

The middle of May means two things in television: the end of the network season, and the beginning of network upfronts for the fall. We’ve already covered CBS, NBC, Fox, FX, and The CW, here’s what ABC had to show when they took the stage, and thoughts on each trailer:
Back in the Game
Why are Maggie Lawson and an unshaven, homeless-looking James Caan starring in this? Back in the Game is about a woman (“emotionally damaged” by her father, by her own admission) whose All-Star softball career falls apart after she has a kid (seriously). Cann stars as her father, your cardboard cutter asshole, fitting right into that Kenny Powers archetype that was popular three or four years ago. It’s unfortunate to see the talent involved – the trailer’s a mish mash of disturbing physical humor (throwing baseballs full speed at people’s heads?) and misogynistic...

Samantha Who? co-creator Don Todd has joined ABC’s new drama series Mind Games as executive producer. On the 20th TV-produced show, Todd will assist creator/executive producer Kyle Killen with showrunner duties. Mind Games, which received a midseason order, centers on bothers Clark (Steve Zahn), a former professor who has bipolar disorder, and Ross (Christian Slater) Edwards, a slick con man, who partner in a unique agency committed to solving clients’ problems using the hard science of psychological manipulation. Look at all that yellow.
In this final 2013 fall TV schedule, we highlighted the new broadcast dramas and comedies (below). And as you might expect, after a challenging TV season that claimed the lives of so many programs, there’s a lot of yellow on the new board. In fact, nearly one third of shows airing Sunday through Friday this fall (31 percent) will be freshman titles. ABC alone is launching eight new series. Plus, there’s plenty of new and returning shows being held in reserve for midseason (list of midseason shows below chart).

Maybe Olivia Pope needs to do some damage control for ABC, which brought back only two of the 10 shows it premiered last season. At the network’s upfront presentation on Tuesday, Kerry Washington appeared in a pre-taped clip as her character from Scandal, and offered advice to Anne Sweeney, the president of Disney/ABC Television Group, alongside Jimmy Kimmel. Discussing the problem of Dancing With the Stars, which took a ratings dip this season, Kimmel quipped, “For one thing, they’re not really stars.” There aren’t a ton of stars in ABC’s new lineup, either — but there are...

ABC has released a number of trailers for their new upcoming 2013-2014 slate of shows. Those shows include Mind Games, Resurrection, Killer Women, Mixology, Trophy Wife, Betrayal, Lucky 7, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, Back in the Game, Betrayal, and The Goldbergs. Out of all the trailers from new shows I've seen so far from every network, ABC looks like they have the best line-up. I'm looking forward to watching all of them, but The Goldbergs really sticks out above the rest. Most of these shows look great.
Watch the trailers and let us know which of these you're looking forward to watching.

Is it possible to manipulate people so that they will do what you want? Clark and Ross Edwards have founded an entire company based on that premise in "Mind Games."
Written and executive produced by Kyle Killen ("Awake," "Lone Star"), "Mind Games" stars Christian Slater (Ross) and Steve Zahn (Clark) as brothers who use the science of psychological manipulation in order to solve their clients' problems. Of course, the two men have problems of their own -- Clark suffers from bipolar disorder while Ross is a con man with a past in the prison system.
Still, these problems help them get inside the human mind better than anyone else. Based on the trailer, the show seems to be a procedural of sorts, heavily influenced by the strong characters of the brothers. There is also a smattering of "Leverage" to be seen, since the company seems...

Do you like superheroes and fairy tales? ABC sure hopes so! Here are the clips of their new dramas (including the two "limited runs," which are basically thirteen-week miniseries.)First up is Avengers spinoff Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which will air Tuesday at 8 p.m. Not to spoil the clip, but Someone Special Is Alive! And here is the Christian Slater and Steve Zahn–starring Mind Games. They manipulate people for a living! (It airs midseason.) Over in fairy tale land, we have Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, a spinoff of ABC's very popular Once Upon a Time. Free Alice! If your interests include lottery winners and cute little kids in ballet tutus, Lucky 7 airs Tuesdays at ten. And for your crying needs, here is Resurrection (another midseason show). That small child is older than he looks! In the limited-series department, Betrayal is about an affair between a married...

It's the alphabet network's turn to unveil their plans for the 2013-14 television season. Their new programs are Back in the Game, Betrayal, The Goldbergs, Killer Women, Lucky 7, Marvel's Agents of Shield, Mind Games, Mixology, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, Resurrection, Super Fun Night, Trophy Wife, and The Quest.
While Fox and NBC in particular have made some sigificant changes to their schedule, ABC's schedule will remain unchanged for the most part.
One notable change is that they'll give Dancing with the Stars only one night next season instead of two. The show's ratings have dropped quite a bit so they're no doubt hoping that this move will stop that decline.
Here's their press release with all of the details:

New York — ABC is cutting its aging "Dancing With the Stars" back to two hours and one night next season, creating a slot for a new drama series based on the Marvel Comics world that's aimed at expanding the network's audience, its programming chief said Tuesday.
Condensing the celebrity dancing contest on Monday night "opens up Tuesday for a pretty aggressive play," said Paul Lee, ABC Entertainment Group president, whose network became the third of the major broadcasters to announce its 2013-14 schedule. The network's entire Tuesday lineup for the fall is made up of new series.
"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," from hit-maker Joss Whedon of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "The Avengers" films, will help broaden the audience for ABC, which is the network leader among young adult women, Lee said. The comic-book based series presumably will attract some younger men to the network. "Dancing With the Stars" is big with older women.

ABC is reinvigorating its fall TV lineup with eight new series. The network announced it has added "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland," "Trophy Night," "The Goldbergs," "Lucky 7," "Super Fun Night," "Back in the Game" and "Betrayal" to its fall television schedule during its Upfronts. Meanwhile ABC has also announced that it has added the new series' "Mind Games," "Killer Women," "Mixology" and the alternative series "The Quest" to its slate.
Beyond those new shows, not much will change for ABC's schedule grid going forward. "Castle," "Grey's Anatomy," "Nashville" and the rest of the returning series will all stay in their same time slots, with only "The Neighbors" being moved. That show will now air after "Last Man Standing" at 8:30 p.m. on Fridays instead of on Wednesdays in the same time slot. Also, "Dancing With the Stars" will now be Mondays only.

ABC has unveiled its fall 2013 TV schedule, picking up 13 new series plus "Toy Story of Terror," a special from Pixar starring the cast of the original movies. See the night-by-night schedule here.
The big news is that "Dancing With the Stars" will now only air on Mondays, combining the performance show and results show into one night. There is no word yet as to how exactly the voting will work.
Tuesday nights are all new, anchored by "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.", followed by comedies "The Goldbergs," a 1980s-set sitcom, and "Trophy Wife," about a reformed party girl who suddenly gains a husband, three children and his two ex wives, then drama "Lucky 7," about a group of lotto winners in Queens.
Wednesday keeps "The Middle," "Modern Family" and "Nashville" in their respective timeslots and adds single mom comedy "Back in the Game" at 8:30 p.m. and Rebel Wilson's "Super Fun Night" at 9:30 p.

"Modern Family" has been renewed for a fifth season because ABC (and audiences) just can't get enough of the Dunphys.
Starring Ty Burrell, Sofia Vergara, Julie Bowen, Eric Stonestreet and more, "Modern Family" centers on a hilariously unconventional family wading their way through the trials and tribulations of life.
"Modern Family's" renewal was in the bag. The comedy has seen strong ratings since it's 2009 premiere, and has only increased in viewership over the years. Season 4 is currently averaging 13 million viewers.
In addition to "Modern Family," the network renewed "Castle," "Grey's Anatomy," "Last Man Standing," "The Middle," "Nashville," "Once Upon A Time," "Revenge," "Scandal" and "Suburgatory." ABC canceled an additional five series from the 2012-2013 season: "Body Of Proof," "Happy Endings," "How To Live With Your Parents," "Malibu Country" and "Red Widow," which join the previously canceled "666 Park Avenue," "Don't Trust The B---- In Apartment 23," "Last Resort," "Private Practice" and "Zero Hour.

ABC has canceled its midseason drama "Red Widow" after airing the full first season of eight episodes.
The drama, based on a Dutch series called "Penoza," was executive produced by Melissa Rosenberg and starred Radha Mitchell as a suburban housewife who turns to the family's organized crime business after her husband is assassinated. She takes cues from her own family of known Russian gangsters in order to find her husband's killer and get revenge.
The series debuted in March to over 7 million viewers for the two-hour premiere, but ratings quickly dipped to the 4-5 million range so ABC's decision to cancel "Red Widow" hardly comes as surprise.
In addition to "Red Widow," ABC canceled five other series on Friday: "Body Of Proof," "Happy Endings," "How To Live With Your Parents" and "Malibu Country" join the previously canceled "666 Park Avenue," "Don't Trust The B---- In Apartment 23," "Last Resort," "Private Practice" and "Zero Hour.

"Revenge" has been renewed for a third season.
After two seasons of drama, backstabbing and death, ABC has officially given Season 3 of "Revenge" the green light.
The newly-renewed "Revenge" follows Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp), whose father was framed for a crime he did not commit, sent to prison for life, and later murdered in the prison. She returns to the Hamptons, intent on getting revenge on those who wronged her and her father -- with the help of her right-hand man Nolan Ross (Gabriel Mann) -- and at the top of her list is Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe).
Mann tweeted excitedly to fans when "Revenge's" renewal was announced:

"Last Man Standing" has been renewed. ABC will bring the Tim Allen sitcom back for a third season.
Despite a shortened season and move to Friday nights, "Last Man Standing" held steady in the ratings. The Season 2 finale, which featured Allen reuniting with his "Home Improvement" co-star Jonathan Taylor Thomas, had 7.9 million viewers and a 1.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic. That's a solid number for a broadcast series on a weekday, let alone a Friday.
Paired with "Malibu Country," the comedy brought viewers back to a time when Friday night meant Tgif on ABC.

"Grey's Anatomy" has been renewed by ABC for a 10th season of hospital hookups, major medical drama and life-changing natural disasters.
Shonda Rhimes' hit medical drama -- which stars Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey, Sandra Oh, Chandra Wilson, Sara Ramirez, Jessica Capshaw, Justin Chambers, James Pickens Jr, Kevin McKidd, Jesse Williams and Sarah Drew, among many other newbies welcomed as interns each season -- has always been strong in the ratings, but Season 9 has seen a resurgence in viewers (averaging over 12.5 million viewers an episode), making it even more likely that "Grey's Anatomy" would be renewed.
Rhimes tweeted to fans about "Grey's Anatomy's" renewal, along with her newer hit "Scandal."
And she followed it up with this:
As with every season finale of the show, the Season 9 finale sounds like it'll possibly take the lives of some of the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital employees. Pompeo, Dempsey, Oh, Wilson, Pickens...

"How To Live With Your Parents" has been canceled.
ABC has decided not to pick up the comedy, which starred Sarah Chalke as a newly-divorced mom who moves back in with her mom (Elizabeth Perkins) and step-father (Brad Garrett), for a second season.

"How To Live With Your Parents" -- shortened from "How To Live With Your Parents (For The Rest Of Your Life)" -- made its debut in April and boasted a pretty impressive 8.44 million total viewers and 2.9 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. With the exception of one episode, "How To Live With Your Parents" performed pretty well, mainly staying above a 2.0 rating and 6 million total viewers, a vast improvement from "Don't Trust The B**** In Apartment 23,...

Wave after wave of news about ABC's schedule for 2013-14 broke late Friday (May 10). After the first rush of series renewals and pilot pickups, along with the cancellation of "Happy Endings," here's what went down.
Series renewals: "Modern Family," the network's highest-rated series, will be back for a fifth season. Fellow Wednesday night comedy "The Middle" (also for Season 5) and Tim Allen's "Last Man Standing" (Season 3) are returning too.
Cancellations: Despite a ratings uptick late in the season, "Body of Proof" is done at ABC. First-year comedies "Malibu Country" and "How to Live With Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life)" are also gone, as is low-rated rookie drama "Red Widow."
Pilot pickups: Comedies "Back in the Game," starring James Caan and Maggie Lawson; "Trophy Wife," with Malin Akerman, Bradley Whitford and Marcia Gay Harden; and "Mixology," featuring interlocking stories of 10 single people at a bar on a single night,...

ABC has renewed "Modern Family" for a fifth season, and picked up the pilots "Back in the Game" and "Mind Games," a spokeswoman for the network told TheWrap on Friday. "Back in the Game" stars Maggie Lawson as a former All Star Softball player who had to abandon her sports plans after having a baby, losing her college scholarship and entering a lousy marriage. She and her son move in with her father (James Caan), an opinionated, beer-guzzling, ex-athlete who never quite made the cut as a single father or professional...

Back in 1995, the WWF was offering five PPVs – Rumble, WrestleMania, Kotr, Summerslam and Survivor Series – at $30 apiece. The idea behind the concept was that a shorter (2 hours compared to 3) and cheaper ($15 to start with) PPVs in months without a major event would give them an edge over the increasing WCW threat.
You may notice that the earliest PPV included was in February ’97, despite the first event being held almost two years prior. The problem was that, although some of the main events were exceptional, the overall cards were poor because the WWF didn’t have a brilliant roster. The fact that the WWF seemed obsessed with stipulations at the time didn’t help – Razor Ramon vs. 1-2-3 Kid in a Cry-baby Match comes to mind.
Iyh: Mind Games is a perfect example. Shawn Michaels defended the WWF Championship against Mankind, in a brilliant thirty minute bout. While the main event was excellent,...

Plus, Elena gives the brothers a deadly ultimatum! Is ‘good’ Elena, as we know her, gone forever?
Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Rebekah’s (Claire Holt) search for the cure led them straight to Katherine on the March 28 episode of The Vampire Diaries, but neither of them expected to run into Elijah (Daniel Gillies) — and that’s when the real fun began! Ironically, Elena doesn’t do a very good Katherine impression, so Elijah figured out she wasn’t his real girlfriend (!!!) almost immediately.
Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) eventually caught up to Tvd‘s version of Thelma and Louise, but not before Elena left to rendezvous with Elijah. The Salvatores forced Katherine to bring them to the cure, but some quick thinking — and a fish tank full of vervain water — allowed Katherine to escape. Taking advantage of the sudden insanity, Rebekah snatched the cure and drank it in one mighty gulp,...

Now here's something else Lindsey Vonn can crack jokes about. A yacht owned by the Olympian's new beau, Tiger Woods, is docked awkwardly right next to a luxury liner owned by Chris Cline, the billionaire boyfriend of the golfer's ex-wife, Elin Nordegren. And as it happens, Woods' ironically monikered "Privacy" is 155 feet in length, 9 feet less than Cline's vessel named Mind Games (is he trying to send Tiger a message or something?), which spans 164 feet and even comes with its own two-person submarine. No word on the ships' girth, but both are parked in Palm Beach, Fla., not far from where Tiger's former missus and the coal baron own separate estates in the posh...

La-based musical team kaRIN and Statik, better known as Collide, have been FEARnet faves for many years now, and it's no coincidence that their brand of spooky and sensual soundscapes has warmed the hearts and chilled the spines of horror fans through their contributions to films like Resident Evil: Extinction and The Covenant, and darkly-inclined music lovers in general through their collaborations with artists like Skinny Puppy, Tool and The Cure to name just a few. In fact, I recently heard kaRIN's silken voice on a track from Chris Vrenna's excellent new Tweaker album, which just dropped last week (read the review here). With all those irons in the fire, it's amazing they find the time to release new studio material on almost a yearly basis... and this year's record Bent and Broken is one of their most ambitious collaborative projects ever, funded almost entirely from kickstarter contributions and...

Through 85 episodes and all of the different people that Michael has had to face off against - such as Management, Vaughn, and Simon - he has been able to keep his friends and family safe.
But "Shock Wave" changed that, as Michael’s brother Nate was hit with a high-powered bullet when someone assassinated Anson Fuller before he could be arrested.
Given that Anson is no longer a threat to him, it's clear Michael Westen is going to turn his incredible talents and the skills he has learned over the last six years towards finding the person who murdered his brother.
We have seen what Michael would do when his mom was threatened, I don’t want to imagine what kind of Hell storm he is going to create in his wake as he looks for Nate’s killer. Additionally, I can’t imagine what he may do to that person once he finds them.

As ever in pro wrestling it is hard to know where “the shoot” starts and “the worked angles” begins…
F4WOnline reports that sources in both WWE and Ufc are skeptical over just how bad Brock Lesnar and Ufc President Dana White’s recent meeting went. White claimed last week that the recent talk with Lesnar was one of the worst they had ever ever shared and was not part of a Ufc/WWE agreement to further Lesnar’s current “quit” storyline with the WWE.
Sources within WWE almost universally agree that Vince McMahon has an iron-clad contract with Lesnar which rules him out of fighting for Ufc until after WrestleMania 29 on on April 7, 2013. Ufc officials however are suggesting that Lesnar’s limited dates deal with the WWE is non-exclusive and that he and Dana White were discussing a potential fight, perhaps for the Autumn after WWE SummerSlam in August,...

It was hard to believe that Body of Proof could ramp up more tension than last week's conclusion to the two-parter but "Mind Games" took Megan Hunt and her team to a whole new level.
It wasn't hard to believe that Megan's first case led to convicting a serial killer. She's always been an overachiever so why start out slow. And what a gruesome case it was.
I didn't realize you could remove someone's entire brain through their nasal cavity. I still wish I didn't know. That is utterly disgusting but makes for a a compelling serial killer.
How many killer's mutilate their victims with a hook? It's certainly an underused weapon of choice. And, as Ethan said in one of the night's most memorable Body of Proof quotes ...

As the incredibly unimpressive marketing for "The Avengers" continues, we now have a new photo of Captain America (Chris Evans), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) that appeared in Empire's latest issue. Check out the photo below. In related news, Tom Hiddleston, who plays the villainous Loki in the film, spoke to TotalFilm about going up against Captain America and the Hulk. "I had huge fun with Chris Evans, as Captain America, because super-soldier though he may be, he's still a man, up against a God who in his own mind is infinitely superior," said the actor. "Then, in the ring with The Hulk, we've got this silver tongued, lightening quick mind up against the embodiment of rage. Loki has this mercurial, transformative ability, not just physically but intellectually, so not all the fights are purely physical. Mind games? Maybe..." "The Avengers" is set to hit conventional and 3D theaters on May 4th.
