In Mike Marzuks Verfilmung von Sabine Bohlmanns „Spiegel“-Bestseller spielt Ava Petsch Willow, die von ihrer Großtante Alwina (Sibylle Canonica) einen geheimnisvollen Wald geerbt hat – und dazu ein kleines, windschiefes Häuschen und ihre Hexenkraft. Doch sie weiß nicht, ob sie das Erbe annehmen soll, denn sie soll auch noch drei Mädchen, gespielt von Cora Trube, Anna von Seld und Mary Tölle, finden, die ebenfalls des Hexens mächtig sind, und mit ihnen den Wald retten. Constantin Film startet „Ein Mädchen namens Willow“ am 27. Februar 2025 in den deutschen Kinos. Der Film wurde von der auf Family Entertainment spezialisierten Erfolgsschmiede SamFilm produziert, die mit Mike Marzuk bereits viel zusammengearbeitet hat (u.a. bei der „Fünf Freunde“-Reihe). Michael Showalter inszeniert für Amazon MGM die Verfilmung des Romans „Verity“ von Colleen Hoover, die auch schon die Vorlage zum Kinohit „Nur noch ein einziges Mal“ geliefert hatte. Wie der „Hollywood Reporter“ berichtet, hat Nick Antosca das Drehbuch geschrieben. Die Hauptrolle soll Anne Hathaway übernehmen. Zusammen mit Showalter, Antosca, Hoover, Alex Heldund, Jordana Mollick und Stacey Sher fungiert Hathaway auch als Produzentin.

Anderson spielt darin Shelly, die seit mehr als 30 Jahren in einer Show in Las Vegas auftritt. Als die Show geschlossen wird, muss Shelly ihr Leben neu ordnen. Just over two months since it was first announced that former “All My Children” star Alexa Havins (ex-Babe Carey) would be joining the cast of “General Hospital” as a recast Lulu Spencer, we’re finally learning when the actress will be making her return to daytime television.

In an interview published in the latest issue of TV Guide Magazine, on newsstands this week, the magazine reveals that fans will finally get to see Havins beginning with the Monday, November 18 episode.

Keanu Reeves has been an absolute favorite of many film critics and audiences. His career has been very interesting since this actor has been open to starring in almost any genre. Nicholas Pryor, who played a father to both Tom Cruise and to Robert Downey Jr. in “Risky Business” and “Less Than Zero,” died Oct. 7 of cancer in Wilmington, N.C. He was 89.

His agent, Susan Tolar Walters, said, “He was one of the nicest people I have ever met and he will be missed.”

Nineteen years after the release of the DC Comics adaptation Constantine (watch it Here), a sequel is finally moving ahead with director Francis Lawrence back at the helm and star Keanu Reeves reprising the role of occult expert John Constantine… but it’s moving ahead slowly, because it has already been a couple of years since this project was first announced. Now it has taken a big step forward, as executive producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura revealed to ComicBook.com that the Constantine 2 script has been delivered. He just hasn’t read it yet.

Shortly after James Gunn announced the first "chapter" of the new Dcu slate last year, rumors began to circulate that a direct sequel to 2005's Constantine was in the works, and Warner Bros. would later confirm that the project was indeed in the early stages of development.

Since then, we've had conflicting reports relating to the movie's status, and since it's pretty much been radio silence since last February, it was generally assumed that the sequel had been scrapped.

However, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura has now revealed that the script has been completed... and he just needs to work up the courage to read it!

"You know, it's in my inbox right now. Funny enough, I'm too scared to read it, though," he told ComicBook.com. "I want it to be good so bad. I probably read it in the next few days. When I get on an airplane."

For ten years, we as moviegoers were treated to both the rise and fall of the DC Extended Universe, or Decu for short (read our rankings here). The stars of the Bill & Ted movies, Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter, are going to star together again. This time, they will be starring in a Broadway production of Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot directed by Jamie Lloyd, as part of the 2025-26 season of Atg Theatre in the fall of 2025.

Reeves will play Estragon, while Winter will play Vladimir. They announced the roles in a joint statement: “We’re incredibly excited to be on stage together and work with the great Jamie Lloyd in one of our favorite plays.”

The Jamie Lloyd Company, Atg Productions, Bad Robot Live, and Gavin Kalin Productions collaborated on the production of “Waiting for Godot,” with 101 Productions acting as general manager.

Over the years the DC film has gained popularity but after Reeves’ astronomical success with the action film franchise John Wick. The prospect of a Constantine sequel wasn’t as far fetched as the fans might have thought.

In November 2020, actor Peter Stormare who played the role of Lucifer in the original hinted that a sequel might be “in the works“. Then in 2023, Francis Lawrence, the director of Constantime revealed that he was developing ideas for the sequel with Reeves returning as the chainsmoking demon hunter. However, after that the updates on the sequel stopped and with the whole James Gunn DC drama, the future of the sequel seemed to be in a bit of danger.

Although little under two decades have passed, Keanu Reeves’ John Constantine might finally be returning to the big screen! In November 2012, filmmaker Guillermo del Toro signed a deal to create a Justice League Dark film centered around DC Comics’ supernatural characters, including John Constantine. In November 2020, actor Peter Stormare hinted at a sequel being “in the works” via an Instagram post. However, neither Warner Bros. representatives nor Reeves immediately confirmed this.

Then, back in 2023, Francis Lawrence confirmed that he was working on some ideas for the iconic movie with Keanu Reeves but every time they would come up with something concrete the regime at DC studio would change.
