What The Well-Dressed Kleptomaniac Will Wear

Here's a 'coming attractions' short for the movie PENELOPE, in which costume designer Edith Head narrates the clothing choices that Natalie Wood's title character will wear, involving clips from the movie showing off the clothing -- and Miss Wood in a swimsuit -- as well as several short sequences of her in character, robbing her husband's bank.

Miss Head is one of those rare toilers in the back rooms of the studios who became a celebrity. She worked as a costume designer for Paramount for decades, accumulating 28 Academy Award Nominations -- three of them in 1964 alone -- and 12 statuettes, She was the model for "Edna Mole" in THE INCREDIBLES. Not a bad record for a girl putting clothes together.
