Frankie Muniz is opening up about how his child-star fame influenced him and his family.
The Malcolm in the Middle star recalled, on Tuesday’s edition of the Inside of You podcast, how when his career started to take off, it took a toll on his family because they had to move across the country.
Before Muniz’s role on the hit TV show, his parents got divorced and he decided to live with his mom in New Jersey. Muniz’s sister first lived with their dad before eventually moving in with their mom, too. However, shortly before he landed the role of Malcolm, they had to move again which caused a “weird dynamic.”
“It was the first time I thought about the past enough to think about the sacrifice that people made, and it made me really sad,” Muniz said.

Frankie Muniz was the title star of hit sitcom Malcolm in the Middle, but now he’s explained why there are two entire episodes where he doesn’t appear after he walked off set.
News.com.au website reports that the American former actor was sharing confidences with his campmates in I’m A Celebrity Australia when he revealed:
“There were two episodes I’m not in. I walked off the set.” And he explained his actions were because tension on set had reached a boiling point, because of the behavior of other “certain people.”
“Everyone was so afraid to stand up when certain people were controlling or rude or disrespectful. Like they walked on pins and needles,” he remembered.
“I was so mortified by seeing people afraid to stand up for themselves, I was like: ‘Say something.’
“I didn’t care if they told me I was never going back,...

Malcolm in the Middle is a popular 2000s sitcom on Fox that often featured guest stars who would go on to become famous in their own right, and Hayden Panettiere was one of those actors. The Malcolm in the Middle cast of characters consists of a completely out-of-control family comprised of the mother Lois (Jane Kaczmarek), father Hal (Bryan Cranston), oldest son Francis (Christopher Masterson), second son Reese (Justin Berfield), third son and protagonist Malcolm (Frankie Muniz), and youngest son Dewey (Erik Per Sullivan). The lower-middle-class family is constantly struggling to get along with each other and the rest of society.
It’s a darkly humorous show and turns the family sitcom tropes on its head with ridiculous situations and characters who feel like real people. Malcolm in the Middle was nominated for 33 Emmys and won seven over the course of its airing. Nine of those nominations went to guest actors.

The Malcolm in the Middle cast is filled with great actors – both sitcom staples and traditional dramatic performers in comedic roles – playing the show’s delightfully wacky characters. Created by Linwood Boomer, Malcolm in the Middle revolves around the titular child prodigy and the various misadventures he gets into with his dysfunctional family. From its single-camera shooting style to its regular fourth-wall breaks, Malcolm in the Middle made a few stylistic revolutions to the TV comedy format that went on to influence future sitcoms. Its dark, surreal comic sensibility was also a radical break from the family sitcom style.
A consistent ratings success and a hit with critics, Malcolm in the Middle ran for seven seasons on the Fox broadcast network. Throughout its run, the series won many prestigious awards – including a Peabody Award. While the writing was highly acclaimed, Malcolm in the Middle received particular praise for the work of its hilarious ensemble cast.

The family of Jansen Panettiere confirmed to ABC News that the 28-year-old actor’s sudden passing was due to “cardiomegaly (enlarged heart), coupled with aortic valve complications.”
Jansen, the brother of actress Hayden Panettiere, died over President’s Day weekend in New York.
“Jansen’s heart could be seen in his eyes, and his charm in his brilliant, engaging smile; his soul in his masterful and revealing paintings, and the joy of life in his dry wit. His charisma, warmth, compassion for others, and his creative spirit will live forever in our hearts and in the hearts of all whom he encountered,” the family’s statement continued. “We sincerely appreciate the outpouring of love and support towards our family as we navigate this unthinkable loss, and ask that we be gifted our privacy during this time of mourning. We love you so much Jansen and you will be in our hearts forever.

Animation feature “Bombay Rose” is the first film to flow from a new partnership between the U.K.’s Goldfinch Entertainment and India’s Cinestaan Film Co.
“Bombay Rose” is directed by Gitanjali Rao and is inspired by the romance of Bollywood. While there are multiple human stories, arguably the biggest star is the seedy underbelly of Mumbai.
The film was previously greenlit by Cinestaan and France’s Les Films d’Ici. Goldfinch is to invest in the production and provide the music through Goldfinch Music. Lilian Kibedi’s new production and finance company, Akoberwa Films, also joins the picture as another financing partner.

Want to revisit "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" before "Terminator: Genisys" opens? Better do it before July 1, when Netflix says "Hasta la vista" to the 1991 sequel.
If you have a hankering to watch "Four Weddings and a Funeral," "Moonstruck," "Cast Away," or "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," get on it, because those are also disappearing in July.
And start marathoning these TV classics before they go poof: "Leave it to Beaver," "Dragnet," "Mission: Impossible," "Hawaii Five-o," "Magnum P.I.," "Miami Vice," "Knight Rider," "Melrose Place" and "Wings." Also bid goodbye to the Stephen King miniseries "The Stand" (1994) and "The Langoliers" (1995).
Below is a complete list of the movies that Netflix is pulling from your streaming list. And, just so you're not left empty-handed, here's a list of what's new on Netflix in July 2015. (All titles and dates provided by Netflix and subject to change.)

Directors Chris Sanders and Kirk DeMicco Give Dallas, TX Press and Children Sneak Peek of The Croods
DreamWorks and 20th Century Fox chose a unique way to promote their newest animated family film. The studios sent directors Chris Sanders and Kirk DeMicco out on a tour of several different target markets to host question and answer sessions with reporters and their children about the making of "The Croods." The interactive sessions lasted about 35 minutes and utilized scenes from the film to keep even the youngest attendee interested.
"The Croods" tells the tale of the first family of humans. The group finds themselves forced into a brave new world after their cave home is destroyed. They run into many dangers and exotic creatures in their journeys. Can they re-locate and find their place in this new domain or will they just go extinct?
You could feel the excitement in the air as directors Chris Sanders and Kirk DeMicco entered the meeting room of the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine,...

The Croods is the latest feature from DreamWorks Animation. But what does the future hold for the studio? Mark takes a look...
Arch your left eyebrow, for a moment. Good. Now, tilt your head to the side. I'll leave the smile up to you, but you must either smirk or give a big cheesy grin. You're now on your way to looking a lot like the DreamWorks Face, the expression that used to appear in pretty much every DreamWorks Animation film, usually on a talking animal of some description.
The thing is, in the past, all of DreamWorks' movies were comedies. It's since the studio has branched out into other genres, while retaining their sense of humour, that we've started sitting up and taking notice again.
For a while there, it looked like DreamWorks Animation had turned into the very corporate machine that it set out to lampoon: Disney.

Oscar-nominated actor Michael Clarke Duncan has died today at age 54. His fiancee Omarosa Stallworth and various news sources report that the actor suffered a heart attack on July 13 and never fully recovered.
The imposing actor got his start in Hollywood working as a bodyguard for high profile actors and musicians. He eventually began booking bit parts in television and film and his big break came when he was offered the role of Bear in the Bruce Willis disaster film Armageddon.
Duncan grabbed the attention of audiences and critics alike in 1999, when he starred with Tom Hanks in The Green Mile as an inmate with mystical powers (a role that earned him a well-deserved Oscar nomination). Since then, he has appeared in a number of high profile films including Planet of the Apes, The Island and most recently, Green Lantern.
At 6’5″, the larger than life actor made a huge impact in genre films.

Old sports writers (mainly Pardon the Interruption host and professional crank Tony Kornheiser) like to remind anybody listening that for most of the pre-World War II era, the biggest sports in America were baseball, boxing, and horse racing.
If you really want to get your 1930s on this weekend, you’ll have that chance: The baseball season is in full swing (Let’S Go Mets!), there’s a huge title fight in the boxing world between Floyd Mayweather and Miguel Cotto, and on Saturday evening, the 138th running of the Kentucky Derby begins.

You're getting too old for this: 25 years ago, on March 6, 1987, "Lethal Weapon" was released. The buddy-cop thriller not only cemented Mel Gibson's status as a household name after playing good-natured loose-canon (as opposed to now) Martin Riggs, but also created a social phenomenon still relevant to this day: "I'm getting too old for this shit."
The catchphrase, said numerous times throughout the "Lethal Weapon" series by Roger Murtaugh (Danny Glover), has appeared in many movies over the last 25 years, often times in reference to the put-upon police detective himself. (The recent trailer for "Men In Black 3" features Will Smith uttering a PG variation on Murtaugh's famous one-liner.)
What you might not know? That "Lethal Weapon" wasn't the first film to utilize some form of the defeated turn-of-phrase. From "North by Northwest" and "The Sting" to Murtaugh himself, enjoy a mash-up of movie characters getting too old for this.

This animal made a surprise appearance in Manhattan today during the filming of Men In Black 3: Blacker and Menner (working title). Can you guess what type of animal it is? Ah, but look closer: That’s right, it’s a horse painted to look exactly like a zebra, for reasons I’m sure will become perfectly clear when we catch MIThree on a plane eighteen months from now. A horse painted to look like a zebra? Isn’t that the exact plot of the movie Racing Stripes? Then Frankie Muniz and Jeff Bridges train Painted Secretariat to win the Triple Crown while Steve Harvey is a breakdancing horsefly? No need to IMDb it, I’m right. It’s also the plot of one of my all-time favorite Simpsons jokes: (pics via Splash News)...

Jeff Foxworthy has turned his Blue Collar comedy into a multimillion-dollar franchise that translated to books, TV shows, and as learned on his recent appearance in "Shark Tank," beef jerky. Now, the "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" host is taking his redneck power to the big screen. He is executive producing and taking an acting role in the sports comedy indie Crackerjack. The story stars Wes Murphy (Robert Pattinson's Twilight stand-in) as a southern guy trying to keep his girlfriend while dealing with abandonment issues all while trying to win the Church League softball championship. Foxworthy will play a sports announcer. Filming starts in Savannah, Ga., today.
Foxworthy has, of course, been on the big screen before as part of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour movie (where he just performed his act). He's also voice characters in animated movies like Racing Stripes, The Fox and the Hound 2...

Comedian Jeff Foxworthy will make his live-action onscreen feature debut with the sports comedy Crackerjack, which he is also exec producing.
Bryan Coley is writing and directing the indie project, while Darren Moorman, Mil Cannon, and Matthew Pope are producing. The production started shooting yesterday in Savannah, Georgia.
Newbie Wes Murphy stars as the titular Bo “Crackerjack” Bailey Jr., a homegrown irresponsible southern boy trying to deal with abandonment issues and maintain his relationship with his girlfriend, all while leading his church softball team to victory. Jeff Foxworthy is set for a supporting role as a softball announcer.
Coley is a theater director who used several local actors to round out the cast including Bethany Anne Lind, who plays Crackerjack’s love interest.
While Foxworthy had his own eponymous TV show in the mid-1990s, his only other movie performances were voiced roles in Racing Stripes (2005) and direct-to-video The Fox and the Hound 2 (2006). Besides,...

Jeff Foxworthy has been entertaining (or, alternatively, annoying the crap out of) audiences for the better part of two decades with his “redneck” act making fun of his Southern upbringing. Even if you somehow avoided his short-lived TV show in the 90′s or those comedy tour specials that helped launch Larry the Cable Guy into superstardom (yes, it’s his fault), you know his “You Might be a Redneck” act or his stint hosting Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? for Fox. Weirdly enough, despite his many appearances on the small-screen, his only movie work has consisted of a couple of voice roles, one that landed in theaters (2005′s Racing Stripes) and one that went straight-to-video (2006′s The Fox and the Hound 2). In essence, Foxworthy is one of the few comedians to not care about starting a high-profile movie career, and as much as I hate to say it,...

That's not going to be an easy thing to do, and I'm sure not everyone will be happy with the outcome. Moon director Duncan Jones...
