I found this to be a truly thought-provoking piece. It put me in a mood all day and I've watched it several times since. The director shows the promise of a great talent, even though he seemed to have a limited budget. Somehow it reminded me of those World War II movies I used to watch with my dad when I was much younger, having a documentary touch. Is the pilot alive? Is he a ghost? That's part of the allure of the short. Depending on the answer to those questions, the piece takes on two very divergent perspectives, yet the statement seems to be the same for each point of view. I'll bet the director had enough story in mind to flesh this out to a feature-length entertainment. In this day of CG effects it's nice to see a more organic film.
