The creators of Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV say they’re open to making a follow up to the series, which scored two Emmy Nominations today, including Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series.

The five-part Investigation Discovery series documented alleged abuse suffered by stars of Nickelodeon series when they were children, including Drake Bell and Raquel Lee Bolleau of The Amanda Show, Shane Lyons, Katrina Johnson, Leon Frierson, Giovonnie Samuels, and Bryan Hearne of All That, and Alexa Nikolas of Zoey 101.

“The response to the project has been overwhelming, surprising and gratifying,” Executive Producer Mary Robertson told Deadline. “It has certainly grown beyond our every expectation, and it’s particularly rewarding to see the response to the [series] evolve into calls for protection within the entertainment industry.”

Austin Butler revealed in a video interview with BuzzFeed that he unsuccessfully auditioned to play Peeta in “The Hunger Games” franchise. Drake Bell, Josh Peck, Kenan Thompson and Victoria Justice are among numerous former Nickelodeon stars who have spoken out following the harrowing allegations revealed in Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.

Investigation Discovery’s five-part docuseries outlines allegations of abuse, sexism, racism and inappropriate behavior involving underage stars and crewmembers on Nickelodeon TV show sets run by Dan Schneider. Some of the programs mentioned included The Amanda Show, Drake & Josh, Zoey 101, iCarly, Victorious and Sam & Cat.

In the series, former creatives and crewmembers detailed their experiences behind the camera, claiming they endured toxic workplaces. Amanda Bynes, who was a prominent young figure on Nickelodeon in the 1990s and early 2000s, starring in The Amanda Show and All That, was also frequently mentioned throughout, although she did not participate in the docuseries.

Below, The Hollywood Reporter has compiled comments made by former Nickelodeon actors following the release of Quiet on Set.

Victoria Justice, who headlined Nickelodeon’s popular series “Victorious” for four seasons and 57 episodes between 2010 and 2013, said in a new interview with Marie Claire that she feels like series creator Dan Schneider owes her an apology as she was “treated unfairly” at times on the show. Schneider also created the series “Zoey 101,” which Justice appeared on prior to “Victorious.”

Schnieder has come under fire this year in the wake of the Investigation Discovery series “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV,” which included many misconduct allegations against him from his tenure at Nickelodeon. Clips from “Victorious” were heavily featured in the documentary as Schnieder was accused of making his young actors do inappropriate things on camera. Justice starred in the show alongside Ariana Grande, Elizabeth Gillies and more.

“Something that was very evident in the documentary is that Dan had a very large ego,” Justice told Marie Claire.

Victoria Justice shared her reaction to the Quiet on Set docuseries this week, saying the program shed light on former Nickelodeon exec Dan Schneider’s “very large ego.”

It’s rare when a documentary series makes as big a splash as that created by “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.” The five-part Investigation Discovery docuseries has been seen by an estimated audience of more than 20 million over ID and Max and generated a groundswell of chatter over its revelations about toxic children’s TV production environments – primarily at Nickelodeon in the early 2000s. The filmmakers responsible for the series that premiered on March 17 – executive producer-director Mary Robertson and co-exec producer-director Emma Schwartz – are thrilled at a reaction that they describe variously as “inspiring” and “overwhelming.”

Adds Schwartz: “I think one of the most exciting parts of that is really to see how many people are not just impacted by watching it, but want to take action or improve the environment in which these problems occur. Taking the work to a next level is something you would hope for.

While speaking at the For Your Consideration Panel for “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV,” Drake Bell shared that those who wrote letters of support for his abuser, Brian Peck, included “Drake and Josh” crew members, such as his “favorite director” whom he “requested” for the Nickelodeon sitcom and a woman whom he “worked with every day for four years” who was “basically his boss.”

Bell, who was revealed to be the John Doe victim in Peck’s 2004 conviction in Episode 2 of “Quiet on Set,” took the stage at the Saban Media Center in Los Angeles Tuesday night to discuss his journey around the tell-all docuseries. With the recent release of the Investigation Discovery docuseries, titled Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, people and child actors formerly working with Nickelodeon have come forward to accuse showrunner Dan Schneider of alleged misconduct and abuse with the minor actors on set.

And not just one child star, there have been several counts where many actors who have worked with the showrunner in the past come together to corroborate these claims.

Devon Werkheiser, Lindsey Shaw and Daniel Curtis Lee, the former stars of Ned’s Declassified School Survivor Guide, have apologized for making a sexual joke when asked about the Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV docuseries during a TikTok live.

The former stars were called out by Drake Bell and slammed online for making light of the abuse.

“Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV” spotlights allegations of abusive and toxic behavior by longtime Nickelodeon producer and screenwriter Dan Schneider (“iCarly”).

Schneider began his career at children’s TV channel Nickelodeon in 1993, helping write and develop the kids-driven sketch comedy show “All That.” Over the span of 25 years, he created, wrote and produced a slew of other successful shows, including, “Kenan & Kel,” “Sam & Cat,” “Drak e& Josh,” “Zoey 101,” “iCarly” and more. Nickelodeon ended their deal with Schneider in 2018 after the allegations surfaced.

Former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell is coming forward in the upcoming Investigation Discovery series “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV” to allege he was a victim of Brian Peck’s sexual abuse. Peck worked as a dialogue coach on Nickelodeon’s “All That” and “The Amanda Show,” the latter of which starred Bell from 1999 to 2002. Bell would go on to headline his own Nickelodeon series in 2004 with “Drake & Josh.”

Peck was arrested in August 2003 on more than a dozen charges related to sexual abuse allegations involving an unnamed minor. In May 2004, Peck pleaded no contest to performing a lewd act with a 14- or 15-year-old and to oral copulation with a minor under 16.. Peck was sentenced to 16 months in prison and ordered to register as a sex offender in October 2004.
