Miranda Hobbes was the first of her pals to purchase her apartment. She has since sold the property and is now spending her 50s couchsurfing following a divorce. Honestly, almost no one loves what has happened to Miranda Hobbes since the end of Sex and the City. Let’s take a look back at a better time in the fictional lawyer’s life and check out Miranda Hobbes’ original apartment. Do you remember where it was located? We do.
When did Miranda Hobbes buy her apartment?
When Sex and the City ended, all four women owned their own homes. Samantha Jones kept things cool in the Meatpacking District, while Charlotte York called Park Avenue home. Carrie Bradshaw had settled comfortably into her Brownstone co-op on East 73rd Street. While the ladies were all homeowners by the end of the series, Miranda Hobbes was the first to set down permanent roots.

Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) was always the more traditionally-minded friend on Sex and the City. While Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), and Samatha Jones (Kim Cattrall) often embraced their singleness, Charlotte was determined to get her husband and children.
Interestingly enough, Davis was initially asked to audition for the role of Carrie. However, the actor quickly discovered that Charlotte would be a much better fit for her.

Sex and the City ran for six seasons on HBO. While the series had plenty of steamy moments, it also had sad scenes, wholesome storylines, and an underlying message about how friendship feeds the soul that we can’t ignore. The show, which followed Carrie Bradshaw and her pals as they lived, loved, and worked in New York City, was pretty complex, and it wasn’t all about sex, despite what the title led many to believe. In fact, you could argue that some of the sexiest Sex and the City scenes had absolutely no sex in them.
