Cheryl has sunk to an all time low and her kids become worried about her so they each resolve to do their bit to help out. Of course, being Wests, this 'help' isn't without an element of self-interest. Pascalle decides to become a stripper at The Champagne Club on the advice of club owner Robby who tells her it will get her modeling contracts. Van goes to Wolf about Cheryl who is less than sympathetic and is more keen to set up Van on another 'dodgy' job. Van also has his problems with Mrs. Hong and Mr. Hong's daughter Tracey which could lead to Mr. Hong doing great damage to Van if he's caught. Loretta tries to generate income by selling bootleg pre-release DVD's, bought from the Hongs, through the Video Hut. Later, when Jethro stands in for Van on a delivery to the Hongs, because Van is on the 'dodgy' job with Sparky, he meets Tracey who mistakes him for Van and they end up sleeping together - Tracey is none the wiser about which twin she has sex with. Meanwhile, Sparky is knocked unconscious by Loretta as the 'dodgy' job turns out to be burning down the Video Hut. The next day Mr. Hong announces to Van and Tracey that Suzy is pregnant - it's Van's (although Mr. Hong doesn't suspect). Loretta confronts Pete about the attempted arson job. He admits it so Loretta takes over running the Video Hut. Cheryl livens up as she's super proud of her kids but her kids cannot quite look her in the eye.

It's Christmas 2006. Wolf's in prison to stay, Judd's in prison and trying to get out. The family is going to Tutaekuri Bay, where they go to every year - only some things have changed. Who is that in "their" spot? Who put a gate up stopping access to "their" beach? Who will win the bet on when Pascalle will give it up? And why do they always come here in the first place?

It's Loretta's 16th birthday and everyone is preparing for the party. The birthday girl, however seems preoccupied with the scheme how to drop out of school for good. Wolf and Cheryl don't support Loretta in that decision. Cheryl is concerned about Loretta and she is completely baffled at Rochelle and Kasey's opinion of her daughter. Pascalle has no more interest in the Videohut. Her whole attention is on her boyfriend Hayden. She advises Loretta to get herself expelled. So Loretta behaves pretty badly and Ms Darling grants her wish. Now she is free to spend all her time at the Videohut, where she discovers Jools, a homeless girl, who lives and works there, thanks to Pascalle's good heart. Meanwhile Wolf has different plans for his youngest child - he enrolled Loretta into the private school of St. Ignatius. Loretta refuses to go but her parents force her. T get out of that nightmare Loretta suggests to the homeless Jools to take her place at school. Van and Munter do a big score with a truck, loaded with lobsters. Van reckons this scheme will grant him Wolf's approval once again.

Van does everything to buy a cute little house for him and Aurora, so they could be on their own. Munter is happy for them but is feeling a little left out. Not to mention the pending court case he's facing regarding some stolen car doors. Jethro is his lawyer, who gets a brilliant idea how to get him off. Pascalle finds her dream job at the old folks' home. It may have started as a community services job, but for her it may turn into a career. Van knocks on several doors to raise the money including a possible bank loan, but the solution to the problem comes from the most unusual person. Suzy will give him the money only if he gives her another baby, preferably a son to complete her happy family. Awfully as it sounds, Van decides to take this option. Munter spills the beans of Van's plan in front of Jethro, who has some unfinished business to settle with his twin.
