In the first poker scene, after the wife breaks up the game, no one bothers to count the chips/money that was won or lost.
When two or more players go "all-in" the inference of this movie is that the person that wins the hand at the showdown automatically eliminates all others who were "all in". There was no consideration given to chip counts in this movie in "all-in" situations.
