This short film deserves a wider viewing. This simple film is moving and poignant. If you get a chance to see it, do so. One really feels for the man and his Thai girlfriend. The mother is very well portrayed. This film has lessons that apply to any language or culture. The Thai/German actress is very good and very believable in this role, I hope that she gets a chance to act in other roles as well. Even if made on a small budget, a film like this can be very convincing. I did wonder if the experience of Somjai is equal to what is gained by Harald through their interactions with each other. I got to see this film at the 11th Berlin & Beyond Film festival in San Francisco in January of 2006.
