The best thing about this movie is the quality of the production. Every scene is beautiful; it's well lit, well framed, and very well decorated. I can't believe it's a low budget. Well until some of the actors begin speaking. This was before Eva became Top Model and she has learned some tricks since then. I really enjoyed the actor Rick Player. In his scene with SABAH, the actress that plays Eva's best friend, he is very natural. He is also in a movie called Jail Party his role is bigger and a lot more funny. SABAH is also good she's done other movies as well. The script could have been loads better, even though religious movies always run the risk of heavy contradictions, some the dialouge is just silly. Why does Tech's sermon run for like twenty minutes.

"The Walk" is a walk worth taking! My friends saw Eva Pigford's name on the DVD cover at Hollywood Video and were like "America's Next Top Model is trying to be an actress now? Girl, puh-leaze." So she checked it out and we watched it just to see how bad it was.
From the first scene, we were knocked off our guards. I didn't expect "The Walk" to look so real. Sydney (Eva Pigford) and her family are having a normal, everyday dinner. Then tragedy strikes. It is so real because in reality, we never know when something sudden will happen. It just does.
This sets up the movie, about Sydney's losing her path of God after tragedy strikes her. With the support of her mom and friends, we hope she finds her way back and soon. This movie shows you just how precious life is and to believe in one another. I cried during Eva's walk to God. It is a powerful moment worth waiting for.
Eva Pigford is an actress to watch for. She will steal your heart! This movie also has some funny moments, like a memorable scene in the restaurant when Sydney argues with the waitress and French chef if the red velvet cake has nuts. It is a riot! Definitely worth a rental!

I have to admit, in this small film, there were a few very talented unknown actors. I watched this film on BET and I enjoyed the chemistry between Eva, her sister Shelly (Nicky Buggs) as they bantered across the table and how Eva's sister was always there for her; much like my sister. My family and I were pretty upset when she died. Watching her made you want to see more of her. I also could relate to the chemistry between Eva's entire family as they held conversations between, her mother (Regina Belle) and father (L. Young) at the table; which is how my family pretty much interacts with each other. As a viewer I could see the difference between Eva and her sister in relation to the paths the two girls were taking whenever their parents spoke to them. This group of actors appeared to have a true relationship which gave the viewing audience the illusion of realty. I did not care for "Tech" at all. He was not a believable character although famous by-ways-of the Real World Show. He said "things" a young pastor/preacher would not say or offer. Needless to say, I thought he was terrible and unbelievable.
Over all, my family and I enjoyed the film. Looking at the date of creation, Eva made this film before she won America's Top Model. How cool! I had the chance to Google some of the names and to my surprise some of them have been on wonderful shows. My family and I are going to rent the other films and TV shows they worked.
Hopefully, I will see these actors again.
They are truly talented.

First let me say that this type of movie is familiar to those in the black community, meaning that it was made for about $2.00, has some acting that might make you laugh a little bit, and is very heavy on the religious message.
That said, I still can't believe how much I enjoyed it.
I love Eva's acting in everything she's in, except when she makes her sad face. Singer Regina Belle is great as the mother too. Everyone looked good and there was plenty of story to keep my interest. I enjoyed all the different types of situations that the people in the neighborhood were involved in and how everything connected back the church/community center.
I thought some of the shooting was exceptional too. The flashbacks and other scenes of emotional intensity were shot very creatively and I was impressed with them.
Except for an irrational desire to snatch that blonde wig off of Eva's head, I was totally involved with the plot and characters.
I've decided that I have GOT to have this for my collection.

I would like commend Eva on her acting skills of Kevin Hill starring (Taye Diggs). This movie called The Walk she appeared in was truly exceptional showing us another side of her as we never seen before. Since winning last year's America's Next Top Model. I have admired all that she has done in striving to better herself. Here Aura and presentation skills show us she has what it take and that her motivations will take her many place. She really is determined to make it to the top and will not stop. Every time I see her on TV, I just stop what I am doing and observe her style of being in the public eye. Eva's acting skills and talent has really shown, she has what it takes to be a Super Star and more. In closing, I believe she has the looks of what Hollywood could be looking for. Keep up the excellent work EVA and always continue to strive for the best and more. Good Luck on your career and continue to pray for the finer blessing. Sincerely your fan since the beginning. .

I saw the movie "The Walk" yesterday around 11am for the first time and couldn't believe it when I saw Eva in it. She played a very realistic role that many young mothers go through today. I enjoyed it and can't wait for BET to run it again! But the the coincidence of the story is after I saw the movie I treated me and my kids to a fun filled afternoon at Dave &Busters in L.I. When we were on our way to redeem our tickets for prizes we saw Eva and a friend. We talked about the movie and shared some laughs about the "blonde wig" she wore lol and she gave my daughter a bucket of tickets. Love her in everything that she appeared in and I look forward to seeing her in many more.
