I actually really enjoy this programme! The pilot was difficult to get into but I really get it now and I think it's really really funny! The jokes are smart where i think you can watch it a second time and probably catch more!
This combines a sitcom story-line with a genius mix of (i guess) real life expressions on the faces of by standers as the crew make muppets of themselves!
I wanted to compare it with the Ali G show... and i just found out it was created by the same person who brought us that! So I think it's fair to say if you like ALi G... you'll like this!

The Daily Show, Colbert Report, and Man Bites Dog. (Chappelle Show is over) Don't listen to Schlagerman, if this show doesn't make you laugh at least once you don't know comedy. I can't stop laughing when I watch it. All of the actors are amazing, and keep in mind that the majority of this show is improv. You have four ingenious comics just rolling with it and playing off each other. I am amazed that they are able to keep in character, it is that funny. Sometimes the reactions of the "straight" people can be slightly uncomfortable, but this is basically an extension of what The Daily Show has been doing for years. If you are into the aforementioned Comedy Central shows, you will love Man Bites Dog. I very highly recommend this show, it is ahead of its time. You won't be disappointed.
This show is hilarious! I admit that when I first saw the commercials I thought it looked stupid but after seeing the first episode I was hooked. the improv style of the show is just hilarious and the fact that the only people that know it's a show are the fake newscrew makes this even better. People if this show goes off the air and then you "discover" it don't come back and bitch. If you like Reno 911 and the daily show you will like this show. Please people watch it now so that zack gallifinackis can keep this job. The show isn't perfect but it's 100% better than most of the other crap on T.V. I mean you could watch this or maybe America's got Talent. Please...watch this show now...don't wait till the DVD comes out.

This show is hilarious. It's quick, funny, and original. It subtly and slyly walks the fine line between totally inappropriate, and completely hilarious. The cast is all great. This show about an incredibly incompetent news crew is a welcome breath of fresh air among all these other faux news/talk shows on Comedy Central. (i.e. "The Daily Show", "The Colbert Report" and that stupid celebrity show that David Spade does.)
Unfortunately "Dog Bites Man" seems to be taking a lot of heat. Don't listen to those who don't get it. Hopefully this one will be around for a while, but watch this before Comedy Central realizes they have something good and cancels it.
And for Matt Walsh fans, this blows Upright Citizen's Brigade out of the water.

This has to be one of the funniest programs on television. The actors are all VERY natural and are able to deliver subtle, yet hilarious comments throughout the show. It follows closely in the footsteps of shows and movies such as "The Office" and "Best in Show." It is easily one of the best programs Comedy Central has created. If you don't find "Dog Bites Man" funny, it's likely because you do not have a dry sense of humor. The comedy isn't slapstick, in your face, or obnoxious, but mature. Some of the jokes and cracks made are truly hilarious, but it may take you a second to get it. One of the actors in the show, Zach Galifianakis, appeared in the Comedy Central movie and documentary "Comedians of Comedy." His humor as a comedian comes through greatly in "Dog Bites Man." I would recommend this show to anyone who enjoys sarcasm. However, if you are the type that would rather see a pie thrown in someone's face or fart jokes, "Dog Bites Man" most definitely will not be for you.
OK, I realize that some people wont like this show, everyone has their own opinions...but as for MY opinion...I think it's the best comedy I've seen in a long, long while. It is a different brand of humor than a lot of people are probably used to. And it took me a couple episodes to get into it, but after I learned about all the characters and the plot, I loved it! The best part is the cast...I can't even pick a favorite because they feed off of each other so well, all of them have an equal amount of funny lines throughout each episode. Give this show a chance and don't be so close minded when it comes to comedy. I give it a resounding 9!
I frequent the UCB Theatre and the other day I finally got to see the UCB 4 together for the first time. They are amazing. I am so happy that this show is doing well and I love MATT WALSH (he's my favorite of the 4).
The most important thing that you have to remember about the show is that ALL, let me repeat that, ALL of the dialog is IMPROVISED. Every scene has its goals but the show is 90% improv. The comedy is quick and SMART, instead of Dane Cook crap. This is comedy at its best.
The show provides a nice change from other Comedy Central shows (ie. Blue Collar TV) and is probably most similar to Reno 911 (i'm not sure if that is improvised).
Don't CANCEL THIS COMEDY CENTRAL!!!

Okay, here's the problem I had with this show. I am a huge fan of comedy. I am a professional entertainer whose act relies a great deal on comedy. So there I was, watching a show that is supposed to BE a comedy, on a television network devoted TO comedy, a network that has the word "comedy" in its NAME, and yet I didn't laugh. Not one laugh, chuckle, guffaw, giggle, snicker, snort...nothing. I only gave it two points because the one girl, Andrea Savage, is a hottie. That, and the fact that I was hoping for something to be funny at some point, are the only reasons I watched the first episode all the way through. I am sure when the creators thought up this show, it was a great idea, but unfortunately, this idea just did NOT translate into anything resembling something humorous or funny. Comedy Central: This is the time you should eat your young. Don't allow "Dog Bites Man" to live.

This show is brilliant. All the sketches where done in front of people who had no idea they were on a spoof News Show. From a team building retreat, to a metting with a professional PR guy, every sketch is gold. A show with hilarious sketch comedy with an interwoven story. We need something like this in 2020!

Dog Bites Man was great. It did remind me of Da Ali G show. Improv by the cast, and real reactions from the public in the scene.
I also heard initial "Like the Office" but it's not. I love the Office, and I love this show. They are totally different. Dog Bites Man pushes he envelope quite a bit, which is what I like to see on a non-HBO/Showtime type show. Comedy Central is known for keeping crap shows on while canceling funny shows. Hopefully this one is not done for good.
Marty Shonson rules!!!! "We used to strip down to our skivvies and do the moonwalk"

I don't know....maybe now that I'm in my 30's I am regressing. I think this show is funny. Some of the lines are of such basic lowbrow humor, I find myself laughing out loud. They speak to each other like I do with my friends. Wait a minute...I guess that means I have a bad sense of humor! Oh well, i stick by my comment. Being a fan of Zach's, I find his character right on. It's a far cry from his character on Tru Calling. He had a special on Comedy Central though, that is right up there with his Alan character. I would like to see more of him. The actors do a great job feeding off each others' lines. This show is so dry at times, I cannot tell what's been scripted. If this is how news is actually made (and I sometimes think it is), we're in a lot of trouble!

Not just another prank show. This thing is freaking hilarious. I have laughed so hard at this show, that it makes the other very funny things i've seen in my life seem not as funny. OK, so bad description. Just trust me, watch this show. I pray to JC5 that it is picked up again.
Look Zach Galaphanakis is violently funny. So is everyone else, there really isn't a weak link, but ZG is a new breed of funny. Watch this show. Stop what you are doing and watch it now.
I can't really say anymore about the show, though I need 10 lines of text for some reason. I didn't want to get that specific.
So in conclusion, the world is a funnier place with this show in it. I really hope that the TV gods smile down upon this show. If you aren't blind and you like happiness, then this show is for you. Watch the crap out of it, as it is probably too smart a show to survive on TV for very long.

Awkward moments can be funny, but they aren't automatically going to be as the lazy writing of this show attests. The mockumentary thing just seems tired at this point, taking cues from Christopher Guest (Best In Show, Waiting For Guffman, A Mighty Wind), Ricky Gervais (The Office), Larry David (Curb Your Enthusiasm), and The Daily Show's field reporter's bits, at best without really bringing anything new to the table, at worst significantly dumbing their influences down. This show is just as good or bad as Reno 911, and like that show I think Dog Bites Man's limited appeal lies more in engaging the viewer with the plots and characters than in the moments and lines intended to pass for gags.

I am positive that if all of the good mockumentaries didn't exist, this wouldn't. The characters and style are translucent rip-offs of a lot of other TV programs I actually enjoy watching. I was bored watching this, and the entire fake-news comedy is barely involved in the show. The creators would probably say that this relationship between the two ex-lovers was a satire, but I think the show actually wants it to be like a daytime soap. Mockumentaries are hard to have laugh out loud jokes and this doesn't really know that. "Dog Bites Man" thinks all of the obnoxious jokes that you see a lot on "Family Guy" and in the Monty Python movies are actually funny. They aren't. Save your time, this is too boring, watch something else at 10:30.
Thumbs down.
