Yes, that is the question. How did Eddie manage to get straight A's on his report card? Did Eddie, indeed, get straight A's on his report card? I can only offer the following response: Who really cares??!! The episode plays as though the premise is so intriguing. Carl being so "over-excited" about Eddie's report card got a little irritating. Carl, as well as everyone else, should have known that Eddie's perfect report card would not have been possible. Eddie was initially depicted as a mediocre student. Teachers don't just "hand out" A's. In addition, Carl paying his kids five dollars for every A wasn't believable. Carl was generally depicted as too much of a "cheap skate." Passable episode. Watchable because we have the same likeable actors that would improve, as the show itself improved.
