General Hospital (Gh) spoilers indicate that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is seemingly gravitating toward a reunion with ex-boyfriend, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer); however, who is the character’s portrayer dating in real life? We’ve got the scoop for fans!
General Hospital spoilers – A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words
Eden recently celebrated her birthday and had a party with her loved ones. Still, one of the biggest revelations for fans was an Instagram post by Jonathan Heit.
He posted a cute picture of him and Eden, where he is jokingly taking a bite out of her cheek as she’s trying to kiss him back. He also added a text exchange between him and McCoy where he called “dibs” on using this as a birthday wish as hers came before his.
In the post, he writes, “This year I found out there are benefits to yours being before mine.

The latest trailer for Amazon’s “Candy Cane Lane” is little different than the previous announcement teaser, just with more visuals and slightly more exposition offered up.
It’s the same beat, with Murphy as a husband/father who takes the concept of Christmas decorations way too far and accidentally sells his soul to an evil elf played by Jillian Bell. That wish brings about not world peace but the 12 Days of Christmas coming to life via unleashing PG-rated chaos on the town.
Directed by Reginald Hudlin and written by Kelly Younger, “Candy Cane Lane” co-stars Murphy and Bell alongside Tracee Ellis Ross, Thaddeus J. Mixson, Ken Marino, Nick Offerman, Robin Thede, Chris Redd, Genneya Walton, Madison Thomas, Anjelah Johnson-Reyes, Lombardo Boyar, D.C. Young Fly, Danielle Pinnock, Timothy Simons, Riki Lindhome and the always welcome Stephen Tobolowsky. Murphy is a producer alongside Brian Grazer, Karen Lunder and Charisse Hewitt-Webster...

Eddie Murphy has spent much of the last 27 years making kid-friendly flicks like “Imagine That” and “Daddy Daycare.” As such, it’s a little surprising that “Candy Cane Lane” represents his first Christmas/holiday flick. That’s the hook for this latest Amazon Prime original feature.
This brief teaser doesn’t so much explain the premise as lays out the protagonist, showing Murphy as a loving husband and father who nonetheless takes the concept of Christmas decorations a bit too far. He essentially sells his soul to a magical elf played by Jillian Bell for a holiday-related wish. Alas, much to his family’s chagrin, that wish is not world peace or a new album from Drake.
Murphy’s wish causes a spell that brings the 12 Days of Christmas to life, unleashing PG-rated chaos on the town. One can surmise that all parties learn that Christmas is not about winning...

Gritty, raw, and moving, "A Thousand and One" is already generating buzz among critics for its depiction of a mother and son struggling to survive in an increasingly gentrified and evolving New York City.
Written and directed by A.V. Rockwell, who's 2018 short film, "Feathers," was an Oscar contender, "A Thousand and One" follows Inez (Teyana Taylor), a young mother who reconnects with her son, Terry, after she is released from prison in 1994. Stuck in the foster care system as a young child, Terry expresses to Inez that he wants to be with her, so Inez kidnaps him from the state and raises him from adolescence to young adulthood. Over the course of two decades, Inez and Terry grow and adapt to the changing world around them, as Harlem and New York City as a whole become gentrified throughout the 1990s and 2000s.

As the most popular streaming service in the world with over 100 million more subscribers than their closest competitors, Netflix are obligated to serve up a steady stream of fresh content to keep their customers occupied. They might be spending close to $20 billion on in-house originals this year alone, but it’s extremely difficult to maintain a platform made up entirely of exclusive titles, which is why so many licensed movies and TV shows are added each month.
Due to the restrictions put in place around the world as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, people are spending a lot more time at home than usual, and understandably, viewership figures for all of the major services have gone through the roof, which has led to some pretty unexpected titles dominating Netflix’s Top 10 most-watched list.

As the continuous presence of Adam Sandler more than shows, Netflix‘s Top 10 most-watched list is far from a barometer of quality. Admittedly, the best movies to be found on the streaming service often make their way to the top of the rankings, as does their lineup of star-powered blockbusters, but in recent months the charts have been throwing up a lot more surprises than usual.
Of course, a lot of this has to do with the continued effects of the Coronavirus pandemic, with millions of people finding themselves with a whole lot more free time than they’ve been used to, so it hardly comes a surprise that viewership numbers for every major platform have gone through the roof since March. That being said, some of the titles to rise to the upper echelons of the Top 10 have come completely out of nowhere, and it presents a bizarre snapshot...

Eddie Murphy was once one of the biggest movie stars on the planet, but a string of poor decisions saw the actor’s relevance fade drastically over the years.
If you saw his name attached to a project then the chances were that it would either be a painfully unfunny comedy where he played multiple characters, or a saccharine family movie. In fact, it wouldn’t be unfair to say that his voice role in the Shrek franchise might have been the only thing preventing him from fading into total obscurity.
However, a late-career comeback looks like it might be happening, following rave reviews for his Golden Globe-nominated performance in Dolemite Is My Name, and upcoming sequel Coming 2 America that brings back one of his most popular creations and looks to tap into the nostalgia market.

Every year, movies are being produced at faster rates and in greater quantity, and that’s thanks – in part – to streamers like Netflix. Because of their business strategy, customers can now watch thousands of films for the same price as a single cinema ticket. As such, the entertainment appetite of the American public has been growing stronger with each passing season. To that end, here’s an overview of the best new movies coming to Netflix next month.
First off, we got science fiction and fantasy. Fans of visiting other worlds will be in for a treat in July, as Netflix will be adding Cloud Atlas to its library. Directed by the Wachowski siblings – the same ones who created the now-infamous Matrix franchise – this time-traveling epic follows the stories of a handful of reincarnating souls who live their different yet similar lives across several centuries.

How does Netflix determine which titles leave and which enter its dauntingly large library? Do they carefully analyze viewing statistics and find content that caters to our interests? Or do they simply throw an immense amount of content at the wall and watch what sticks?
The answer is probably a mix of both. Like most entertainment companies, Netflix knows full well the potential of mathematics, but it also respects the creative spirit. As such, some new additions may have been carefully chosen, and others not. In any case, here’s an overview of the 81 new movies and TV shows headed to the platform this coming week.

The summer movie season, as we usually know it, isn’t happening this year, with few big releases planning to drop over the next couple of months, even if cinemas are just starting to reopen. Instead, then, it’s falling on Netflix and the various other streaming services to pull their weight and give movie lovers a range of new content to feast on. Thankfully, July isn’t looking too shabby for original films and TV, not to mention lots of classics or underrated gems appearing on all the usual sites.
Of course, Netflix has the most original output coming across next month. TV fans, in particular, have got much to look forward to, including season 2 of The Umbrella Academy. In fact, it’s a good month for fantasy series based off comic books all-round, as we’ve also got Arthurian retelling Cursed and super-powered action show Warrior Nun coming as well.

You know, plenty of streaming services would treat the dog days of summer as an excuse to slow down. At Netflix, however, the content buffet is still open, baby. Despite the coronavirus pandemic shutting down all of Hollywood for an extended period of time, Netflix’s new releases for July 2020 are still jam-packed with a host of familiar originals.
The blockbuster this month is probably The Umbrella Academy season 2. The next installment for the Hargreeves family arrives on July 31. And if that’s too long of a wait for you, Netflix gets the month off to a strong start with a string of originals as well. Unsolved Mysteries arrives on July 1, followed by Warrior Nun on July 2, and The Baby-Sitter’s Club on July 3. That’s not even to mentioned the feminist take on Arthurian legend, Cursed, which premiers on July 17.
There are a couple of intriguing original movies to consider this month as well.

The Rhino has rallied since he was almost eliminated on the April 1 episode of “The Masked Singer.” He is among the five contenders competing on the May 6 quarterfinal. The Rhino is coming off of his best week ever, with his cover of “Die a Happy Man” by Thomas Rhett earning him praise from the four judges.
The previous week he had done well with his version of “10,000 Hours” by Dan + Shay & Justin Bieber. Just prior to that had been when he faltered with his cover of “What a Man Gotta Do” by Jonas Brothers. His earlier performances of “Tracks of My Tears” by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, “Nice to Meet Ya” by Niall Horan and “Have a Little Faith in Me” by John Hiatt were all much better suited to his voice.
We’ve been doing some digging to try and figure out who is hiding inside the Rhino costume.

May isn’t quite summer yet but it is usually time that the networks start wrapping up their newest shows and preparing for a relatively fallow summer period. Since HBO isn’t a network, it has no such business model. But May sees the winding down of some HBO blockbusters all the same.
While there are some notable new releases for HBO in May 2020, the bigger story might be the things that are ending. Westworld concludes its third season on May 3 while new series Run wraps up on May 24. Thankfully the film losses in May aren’t too bad for HBO, unless the Agent Cody Banks saga drives a lot of traffic.
The most notable TV premiere in May is I Know This Much is True, a book adaptation starring Mark Ruffalo. This is a very bleak story coming along at a bleak time in history but perhaps those two things will cancel out.

Fans of The Rhino on “The Masked Singer” are thrilled that he has made it to the final six contenders who are competing on the April 29 episode. He has had a tough time getting this far in the competition, and was at risk of being eliminated in the Super 9 episode on April 1 following his performance of “What a Man Gotta Do” by Jonas Brothers. However, he rallied and nailed his cover of “10,000 Hours” by Dan + Shay & Justin Bieber last week.
We’ve been wondering who the famous fellow is inside the Rhino costume. So we’ve been watching those performances as well as his others to date: “Tracks of My Tears” by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles; “Nice to Meet Ya” by Niall Horan; and “Have a Little Faith in Me” by John Hiatt. And we’ve also had another look at his clues videos.

The Rhino is “The Masked Singer” contestant who has shown the most growth over season 3. He contends for a slot in the top six in quarterfinal 2 on April 22. He is competing against the Banana, Frog and Kitty. All four were featured on the special sing-along episode on April 15. The Rhino chose two of his previous performances that showcase his versatility: “Nice to Meet Ya” by Niall Horan and “Tracks of My Tears” by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles.
We’ve rewatched those performances as well as his other two — “Have a Little Faith in Me.” by John Hiatt and “What a Man Gotta Do” by Jonas Brothers. And we’ve taken another look at his clues videos. He won over the studio audience and four judges. We won’t see the Rhino compete again till April 22 when he will face off against the Banana, Frog and Kitty in quarterfinal 2. However, all four should be featured in the special sing-along episode of “The Masked Singer” on April 15.
Of the seven remaining contestants on “The Masked Singer,” the Rhino is the one who has improved the most over the competition. His personality made up for his performances. He was declared safe for each of his first three turns in the spotlight: “Have a Little Faith in Me.” by John Hiatt ,”Nice to Meet Ya” by Niall Horan and “Tracks of My Tears” by Smokey Robinson & The Miracles.

Last time we saw the Rhino on “The Masked Singer” he had just found out he numbered among the top 3 in Group C. On the April 1 episode, he returned, along with Astronaut and Night Angel, to face off against the best of both Groups A and B.
This Super 9 are fighting for their places in the quarter-finals. To do so, they must win over both the studio audience and four judges. Of the remaining contestants, the Rhino is the one who has shown the most improvement.
He started off shakily with his version of the John Hiatt hit “Have a Little Faith in Me.” He did a whole lot better with “Nice to Meet Ya” by Niall Horan. And he proved to be quite the showman with his take on “Tracks of My Tears” by Smokey Robinson & The Miracles.

Eddie Murphy on Paying Tribute to Rudy Ray Moore With ‘Dolemite Is My Name’: ‘He’d Be Over the Moon’
The saying goes “never meet your heroes,” but the cast of “Dolemite Is My Name” did just that when acting opposite Eddie Murphy in the biopic about the comedy legend’s idol Rudy Ray Moore.
“I finally got a chance to work with one of my heroes. I’ve been trying to do it for over three decades,” Wesley Snipes told Variety at the film’s premiere Saturday night in Westwood. “It was a realization like, ‘Oh my God, I’m actually here doing a dramatic scene with the comedic master.’”
Keegan-Michael Key also admitted it was hard to stay calm before meeting Murphy for the first time. “I was really having a dialogue with myself. I’m like, ‘You got to get it together. You gotta breathe. You’re in wardrobe, just get into character,’” he recalled.
“Once we sat down and they were setting up the cameras, Craig Robertson...

Eddie Murphy hasn’t performed standup in decades, even though in the ‘80s he was considered one of the finest practitioners of the form: his classic 1987 standup film “Eddie Murphy Raw” grossed $50.5 million on an $8 million budget, making it the most financially successful standup film of all time.
Now, TMZ is reporting Murphy is in talks with Netflix to produce an undetermined number of new standup specials for a $70 million price tag. The move makes sense given that Chris Rock received a $40 million payout and Dave Chappelle $60 million for their own Netflix specials. Rock had two specials and Chappelle had three, putting the individual fee for stars of their caliber at around $20 million per installment – suggesting Murphy would probably create three specials, or maybe just two given the rarity and exclusivity of the enterprise.

In July 1976, Jerry Seinfeld and Eddie Murphy were rising comics, launching their stand-up careers at the Comic Strip in New York City. In fact, the two started at the famed comedy club the same week.
“[Seinfeld] was always the funniest. He had his show down, he was polished, he had it all down before everybody,” Murphy recalled on Wednesday night at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills. “You had it together as a person too. You were the first comic to have a nice car. I remember he had got a Saab…and we were all on the side, like ‘He bought this with jokes.’”
The pair, who united for an event to celebrate Murphy’s appearance on “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” have come a long way since gushing over a Saab. Murphy is Seinfeld’s guest for the Season 11 premiere of his car and coffee talk show.

It turns out that even though CBS' original press release for episode 16 said it would be airing tonight, it is indeed not going to air tonight. We have no idea why. All that we know is that episode 16 is now scheduled to air next Tuesday night, March 12, 2019. So, be sure to mark that very important date down on your tv show calendars. So, what is CBS airing instead of NCIS tonight? Well, according to the TV Guide listings, CBS is actually airing NCIS tonight, but it's just a rerun. It's the episode that originally aired way back on November 13, 2018. It's entitled, "A Thousand Words." A year and a half ago after AwesomenessTV co-founder Brian Robbins joined Viacom to run Paramount Players, he is being named President of the company’s Nickelodeon Group. He succeeds Cyma Zarghami who stepped down in June after more than 30 years with the network. Robbins will report directly to Viacom president and CEO Bob Bakish.
A search is underway for Robbins’ replacement as President of Paramount Players. In the interim, Wyck Godfrey, President of Paramount Pictures’ Motion Picture Group, will oversee day-to-day operations at Paramount Players, with support from Robbins during a transition period.

Bruce Beresford’s newest film “Mr. Church” follows the relationship between talented cook Henry Church (Eddie Murphy) and young girl Charlie Brooks (Britt Robertson) over the course of many years. It’s based on a true story from the life of screenwriter Susan McMartin, who was helped raised by a local cook who taught her to believe she could grow up to be anything. Though the film was stuck in development hell for over eight years, and was once attached to Samuel L. Jackson, it was finally released domestically this past September. In a behind-the-scenes clip from the film, Eddie Murphy and Britt Robertson discuss bringing McMartin’s story to life. Watch the clip below.

Eddie Murphy, the comedy legend whose performance in Bruce Beresford's drama Mr. Church, which opens Sept. 16, is earning him some of the best reviews of his decades-long career, will be promoted for awards consideration in the category of best supporting actor, rather than best actor, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. It's a somewhat unexpected, but fully justifiable, move for the A-lister, who last appeared on the big screen four years ago in A Thousand Words. In Mr. Church, Murphy plays the title character — a black man who helps to raise a white girl after her mother is stricken

It’s going on four years since Eddie Murphy last stepped before the camera for A Thousand Words, but the esteemed actor is ready to end that hiatus with a touching, heartfelt drama.
Entitled Mr. Church, today’s first trailer finds Murphy in the role of the titular Henry Church, a man of many talents who develops a strong bond with a young girl (Britt Robertson) and her dying mother. Said to be inspired by a true friendship, Church’s role in the family extends far beyond that of a surrogate father, and remains a loyal guardian to Robertson’s character as she goes through childhood, adolescence, and eventually pregnancy.
If that reads as a melodramatic, schmaltzy affair, we don’t blame you; making its debut at Tribeca Film Festival earlier in the year, our review found Mr. Church to be largely forgettable, wasting a stellar turn by Eddie Murphy with a lacklustre screenplay.

Eddie Murphy is back in his first live-action performance since 2012’s A Thousand Words with Mr. Church. Rather than much of his past work, the film is not comedy, but a drama concerning the titular Henry Church (Murphy), a talented cook with a love of jazz who is hired by a dying mother as help for her six year old daughter. While the arrangement is set for six months, it develops into a 15-year journey of friendship and care.
Off a script by Susan McMartin — whose penned episodes of Two and a Half Men and Californiacation —Mr. Church is directed by Brurce Beresford (Driving Miss Daisy), making his first feature in five years. The film looks to be a touching, sad story of aging and acceptance with a sweet performance from Murphy. See the trailer below ahead of a release next month.
