NBC and the Television Academy announced jointly today that Kenan Thompson will host the 74th Emmy(R) Awards. The three-hour, coast-to-coast live telecast from the Microsoft Theater at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 12 and begins at 8 p.m. Et/5 p.m. Pt on NBC and will stream live for the first time on Peacock. “Being a part of this incredible evening where we honor the best of the television community is ridiculously exciting, and to do it on NBC – my longtime network family – makes it even more special,” Thompson said. “Like all TV fans, I can’t wait to see the stars from my favorite shows.” Jen Neal, Executive Vice President of Live Events for NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, said, “Kenan is well-regarded as one of funniest, likeable and accomplished performers of the last two decades and his tenure on ‘Saturday Night Live’ speaks for itself.

A couple of months ago we heard that a movie was going to be made about a 23-year-long game of tag that a group of friends, who call themselves the "Tag Brothers," have been playing since they were in high school. The Wrap is now reporting that Will Ferrell and Jack Black are attached to star in the film. When the movie was first announced it sounded like the kind of film that would pull in an ensemble comedy dream cast, and it looks like that's started.
The film will be adapted from a Wall Street Journal article that was just picked up by New Line Cinema. This is all based on real life events that are still going on today. Every February this group of friends continue to play their nationwide game of tag.

Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy, who are always pictured as Hollywood's happiest and devoted couple, have come up with a decision to end their five years of romance. The sad news was announced by the couple themselves via Twitter. On Tuesday, March 6, around 2 P.M., the 48-year-old actor tweeted, "Jenny and I have just ended our 5yr relationship. I'm grateful 4 the many blessings we've shared and I wish her the very best! S'okay! ?;^>."
An hour later, McCarthy addressed the separation on her Twitter page, revealing that she will always love Carrey's daughter, Jane Erin Carrey, who gave birth to the actor's first grandchild in February.
