Gretchen Barretto would have played Sarah but she backed out of the movie before the shooting started.
The subtitle 'not once but twice' was taken from the speech of Susan Roces, widow of Fernando Poe Jr. when she accused Philippines President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo of stealing the presidency "not once but twice." Arroyo conspired for the ouster of President Joseph Estrada that led her to take over the government in 2000, while she reportedly cheated her victory in 2004 against Roces' husband. Ramon 'Bong' Revilla Jr., Arroyo's ally, did not ask permission from Roces to use the sub-title, but instead sought approval from Arroyo if he could use the line for his movie.
There was a supposed lips-to-lips kissing scene between Ramon 'Bong' Revilla Jr. and Precious Lara Quigaman but she refused to have the scene so the director just omitted the kissing scene and have a "nose-to-nose scene."
Ramon 'Bong' Revilla Jr. allowed his daughter, Inah Revilla to be in the movie since it was school break.
