The movie was produced as a Bachelor of Arts thesis at Tallinn University. As to the budget, the University supported the director with 50 000 EEK (about 4200$). Yet, it was not enough to produce the movie according to the director's vision, so he had to sell his 18 000 EEK (1500$) electric guitar to get extra money for production.
All the actors are playing for free, although the cast includes many professional and well-known Estonian actors.
There's a sign "SIMM 666" underneath the UFO. It was put there for Peeter Simm, famous Estonian director, who rejected the proposal to become the tutor of the film after reading the script and assuring that this kind of UFO would be impossible to create in Estonia.

The father of the heavies who jumps to the pond was played by Jüri Rebane who used to be the Chemistry teacher of the director Rasmus Merivoo. He got the part for letting the filmmakers use his sauna for shooting and that just in one day notice after another location was rejected because of the broken heating system and the cold record of Estonia.
