WOW just had a vague flashback about a show with puppet and a jungle and after searching finally found this and MAN are these puppets awful looking. The movie was probably fine haven't watched it since i was like 7.

Enjoyable, well-written puppet adventures on beautiful sets. Produced by people who obviously respect children, unlike much of the hateful and/or politically correct children's fare now available. Would recommend it to any parent who wishes their children to understand how humans can work together for the common good, rather than for meretricious effect.
