Featured review
...but not for 82 minutes, as it is stated. This movie talks about father and his son, who come from a rural town in Bosnia to Zagreb to audition for a movie. It is based on a story of Armin Omerovic (he is playing himself), a young according player with some medical problems, who is trying to fulfill his fathers dream of becoming famous.
Ognjen Svilicic is stated as one of the best young Croatian filmmakers, always couping with modern problems in Croatia and neighbor countries, but he always pictures us as primitive nations... There is a scene when father doesn't know how to use hand-drier, and he acts sort of like apes in 2001: Space Odyssey, which is a very cheap gag. There are also many other similar first-ball sentimental arty tricks, that could have worked 50 years ago. Now, it is just lame! Emir Hadzihafisbegovic, who is playing father, is the best thing in this movie. His acting in this just blew me away. Armin is very antipatic kid, but his acting skills are not bad for 15-year old. Croatia doesn't have many great actors, but he could make some good things.
And that's about it. It just wasn't good material to start with.
