Despite being set in Connecticut in the fall, all scenes were shot in and around the Los Angeles area in June.
It took four separate locations to create one Catholic school. Locations included a Lutheran school in Burbank, a Methodist church in Burbank, an Episcopal school in San Marino, and a Lutheran church in Burbank.
