Gyantse 1904, worth the watch
I first saw this film almost a decade ago, and the gripping tale it presented captured my imagination. Depicting the incredible story of the British invasion of Tibet, it follows the the young intrepid David Austin, as he toils and labours to promote peaceful relations between the two nations. For anyone intrested in early 20th century British and Chinese history, this movie is a must-watch for both its historical accuracy and the characters brought to life by its exceptional cast.
Personally I recommend the 10th anniversary special edition. The complete legendary remastered print, brings the original 70mm film to life as never before, and the IMAX 1.90:1 format offers a remarkable viewing experience. The trailer for this version of the film can be found on youtube, which I would strongly recommend watching.
