Exclusive: ABC is developing Worst House on the Block, a half-hour comedy series from 20th Television.
Written by Niki Schwartz-Wright (Pivoting) and to be directed by Natalia Anderson (Maggie), Worst House on the Block has a Beverly Hillbillies vibe to it. In the show, when a poor family from South Texas inherits the worst house on the block in a chic L.A. neighborhood, they cause quite a stir among their new neighbors. Tensions may flare, but ultimately, we’ll watch as three different families, with nothing in common but their Zip code and how overwhelmed they feel by the sheer number of Love Island episodes there are to watch, start to find common ground and, slowly but surely, friendship.
Schwartz-Wright and Anderson executive produce with 3 Arts’ Oly Obst.
Most recently, Schwartz-Wright served as co-executive producer on Fox’s comedy series Pivoting. Before that, she was a co-executive producer on the NBC comedy series Abby’s.

Guest House is a new comedy that feels like a real throwback to the likes of Road Trip and American Pie, depicting a rivalry between a home-owner, and a nightmare neighbour. We had the pleasure in speaking to the former, the affable comedian Mike Castle, who talks about his cinematic feud with Pauly Shore.
Castle spoke to us about playing the straight guy, and how it was shooting scenes with the likes of Shore, Steve-o and Billy Zane. He also tells us whether he has ever had a feud in real life, and talks about one day collaborating properly with his wife, the talented actress Lauren Lapkus. We also ask him about Brews Brothers, and his thoughts on the series sadly not being renewed.
Watch the full interview with Mike Castle here:
Synopsis
An engaged couple’s new dream home comes with one small catch — a perennial party animal who lives in the guesthouse.

Scrolling through Netflix’s “suggested shows” section and finding a programme called Brews Brothers was one of the most unusual recent finds I have to admit… Tasing a chance on another Netflix original this turned out to be entertaining and a bit of fun but if I had to chance to, I probably won’t watch it again.
To start with, the characters are almost too relatable. I did see myself and people I know in the characters which at times did make the comedy even funnier as I know someone who would do something that stupid but apart from this the characters were all a bit boring. They are ordinary people, with none of them really possessing any features I aspire for. The thing with relatability...

Over the weekend, Netflix continued expanding its comedic archive that already includes shows like The Ranch and Big Mouth with its latest series Brews Brothers. The series is a raunch-filled show in the vein of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, taking all the uncomfortable spontaneous style humor of that series and tossing it in a brewery. On top of this,...

With just about everyone now being advised to remain at home due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Netflix seems to be more popular than ever. Ditto for the other major streaming services, too.
When it comes to Netflix, in particular, though, it’s become so popular in some regions that they’ve even had to decrease their video quality or else they’d risk slowing down the entire internet. It makes sense, too, as with theaters now closed, people need another way to consume entertainment and they’ve mostly turned towards streaming.
Thankfully, all the major platforms have been pumping out a ton of content to keep up with consumer demand and Netflix continues to deliver. In fact, they’ve added five brand new movies to their site as of today, and all of them happen to be Netflix Originals.

On the eve of March 24th, when Disney+ is expected to expand across the United Kingdom and various parts of Europe, we have compiled the definitive list of new content headed to the streaming platform and its three key competitors – namely Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu.
Yes, the so-called ‘streaming wars’ is now being fought on four fronts, and it’s fair to say that, despite being the fresh-faced newcomer, Disney+ is packing serious firepower. Thanks to its carefully calculated acquisitions over the years, the newly-released streaming service is packed to the rafters with top-tier content, including some excellent original series like The Mandalorian.
It’ll also get updated in a few days’ time (as is tradition), what with April 2020 just around the corner. Plus, with countries all over the globe enforcing measures to combat Coronavirus – self-isolation, social distancing… you name it – the Internet’s biggest streaming services will no...

You’ve probably heard the news that we’re all gonna be indoors for a little while. There’s no way around that and it sucks to hear. It also makes the usual entertainment stuff each month seem just a little more poignant. While Netflix reveals its new releases each month as a matter of course, the Netflix new releases for April 2020 obviously have some added import.
Thankfully it looks like Netflix is going to ease our social isolation with some easy-watching originals, and a handful of fun original and existing movie options. There isn’t a Stranger Things-like Netflix juggernaut on the schedule for April but there are excellent, bingeable shows like Nailed It! (April 1), The Innocence Files (April 15), and Kenya Barris’s first Netflix offering #blackAF (April 17).

Netflix has set April 10 for the premiere of Brews Brothers, its new comedy series from brothers Greg Schaffer and The League creator Jeff Schaffer.
Alan Aisenberg (Orange Is the New Black) and Mike Castle star as estranged brothers Wilhelm (Aisenberg) and Adam Rodman (Castle), who find themselves running a brewery together. Each one is a beer genius… a braumeister, but they couldn’t be more different in their beer-making techniques and personalities. A lot of times in a show you see two people who complete each other. These two don’t even make a full person.
Carmen Flood and Marques Ray also star. Greg Schaffer serves as showrunner, executive producer and writer. Jeff Schaffer, Jonathan Stern and Keith Quinn serve as executive producers.
