Goliath is the name of one of the two large yellow cranes at Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast and has dominated the Belfast skyline since 1969. The other is named Samson and was erected in 1974 and is slightly smaller than Goliath.
James Nesbitt and Kathy Kiera Clarke both appeared together in the Paul Greengrass movie, Bloody Sunday (2002), the true story of the 1972 shootings in Derry of civil rights protesters by the British Army.
