Even though this movie is Dayo's debut film, and it's an absolute masterpiece. I loved every second of it. The images are carving deep into you, leaving a meaningful trace of awe and emotion.
The beginning of the film felt a little unorganized and less structured, but after a few minutes the story unfolds beautifully. It's raw and real. The shots are powerful and really had an impact on me while watching. I felt moved by it, and that - according to my own personal preference - is what art is meant to do.
Dayo has a sense of beauty and is able to catch the scenes aestheticallyand visually pleasing.
I particularly liked the scene where the husband smells her clothes. It was a very powerful and real expression of his feelings, and again beautifully captured.
Dayo has lots of potential as a filmmaker, and his debut is absolutely worth watching.
