A new web series titled Revelations is on its way from Robert Michael Ryan (co-writer, producer, and co-star of 2009's Necrosis), and a teaser trailer has arrived for the project along with an official website.
The story takes place after the Rapture has occurred and follows a particular two survivors -- Dana, played by Marlene Mc'Cohen (Vampire Boys, Alice in Murderland), and Jeremy, played by Cuyle Carvin (Assault of the Sasquatch, Blood Moon) -- and their attempt to get out of town, find other survivors, and seek some kind of safety - which may or may not exist. Wil Gelin co-stars as Darius.

Preliminary rumblings about a new series called "Revelations" came across our desk as this week wound down, and while it has similarities to "The Walking Dead", there's a slight religious aspect to the show, and instead of a zombie outbreak, there are demons... with a definite agenda.
The story follows a particular two survivors, played by Marlene Mc'Cohen (Vampire Boys, Alice in Murderland) and Cuyle Carvin (Assault of the Sasquatch, Blood Moon), and their attempt to get out of town, find other survivors, and seek some kind of safety - which may or may not exist. The creator of the project is Robert Michael Ryan, co-writer, producer, and co-star of 2009's Necrosis.
The producers have promised a lot more info over the coming weeks so keep it here for updates. In the meantime check out a behind-the-scenes photo of Carvin and Mc'Cohen.

*full disclosure: a screener of this film was provided by director Anthony Frankhauser.
Director: Anthony Fankhauser.
Writers: Joe Benkis and Anthony Fankhauser.
Grizzly Flats was previously called Shadow People and this film stars Danielle De Luca (Necrosis), Judd Nelson (The Breakfast Club), Maggie VandenBerghe (Hierarchy) and Ryan Karloff. These actors and characters inhabit a surreal world, which is inhabited by weird shapes and baby shaped gourds. There are elements of the strangeness here and the film makes some connections with the hallucinogenic properties of certain drugs. Not really a pro-drug film and not real an anti-drug film, Grizzly Flats is an interesting look at a bizarre world, not seen by this reviewer before.
Karloff plays Sylvain, a man with a portal to another dimension. Somehow this part time scientist has altered reality with help from a wood burning stove, vacuum tubes and air hoses. This critic needs to make one of these.

Lakers fans make up a sizable chunk of Twitter-Wood, but there are some Celtics supporters mixed in there as well. Dane Cook, Rose McGowan and James Kyson Lee all weighed in on the NBA Finals confrontation at the Staples center yesterday, and you may or may not agree with their assessments.
"Eclipse" star Kristen Stewart's opinions can sometime be equally divisive, and at least one actress spoke up about how she feels on that subject today. I'll let you find out who that was below, along with what John August thinks of "I Love You Phillip Morris" and who wants a piece of "Human Centipede"-themed jewelry.
It's all on the record in Twitter-Wood for June 4, 2010.

Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy announced they were splitting yesterday on their Twitter accounts, and while it's never as fun to read the break-up tweets as it is to watch Frankie Muniz hold a funeral for his dead cactus, you have to hand it to the two of them for keeping things classy (in 140 characters or less).
In other more entertaining tweets, Richard Kelly posted that he's pretty sure he witnessed a Transformer guest appearance in "Clash of the Titans." I haven't seen it myself yet, but you can find out if you agree with him after the jump. His thoughts are retweeted along with Jackie Chan's birthday cake, memories of a homeless "iCarly" fan and the hotel David Spade was staying in when he got invited to join "SNL." I present to you Twitter-Wood for April 7th, 2010.

"I think I'm alone now"...or is she? Tiffany stars with James Kyson-Lee ("Heroes") in Brink DVD's "Necrosis" horror. Jason Robert Stephens-directed and written film sees release on April 25th on DVD and is produced by Julian Contreras, Frank Torpey and Al Weigand. Six friends arrive at a secluded cabin to enjoy a long weekend in the snow. Little do they know that their vacation spot is located on the site of the infamous Donner Party Massacre – a tragic event in 1846 when a group of snow bound settlers devolved into madness and turned on each other in a cannibalistic frenzy. When an unexpected snowstorm hits, the cursed ghosts of slain Donner Party are resurrected, determined to exact their revenge. Are these true demonic entities or is ‘cabin fever’...

Ask most people (of a certain age) about Tiffany, and they’ll immediately envision the 17-year-old singer whose album sales broke records in the mid-’80s. That enduring image is probably why Tiffany the Scream Queen is such an intriguing proposition. Pursuing acting in between recording and touring has led Tiffany to her first lead performances in Necrosis (on DVD April 20 from Brink), featured opposite Heroes’ James Kyson-Lee and horror icon Michael Berryman, and Mega Piranha, debuting this Saturday, April 10 on Syfy ahead of disc release by The Asylum on the 27th.

New information has arrived for Jason Robert Stephen's Necrosis courtesy of the distributor Brink DVD. The film, which releases April 20th, will be offered in an unrated version. To horror enthusiasts, that means fewer cuts and less editing of the final product which creates a more complete version of the film. This also means that Stephen's and writer Robert Michael Ryan's original vision will be seen in this version. Already reviewed here (Necrosis Review), the film stars James Kyson Lee (Heroes), Tiffany (1980’s Pop Star), George Stults (7th Heaven), Penny Drake (Zombie Strippers), Danielle De Luca (Naked Fear), and horror legend Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes). Have a first look or revisit the trailer for Necrosis inside, until the film drops April 20th.

Android is bringing aboard a public face for Androids everywhere at its Android Lounge at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. CES has been all over the tweets of gadget-conscious Twitter-Wood accounts this week. "Star Trek"'s Brent Spiner didn't sound too thrilled about putting on his Data makeup for the appearance, but both he and "Heroes" actor James Kyson Lee were stoked for the show.
On the subject of movies, Mark Webber got in to his "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" co-star Michael Cera's premiere for "Youth in Revolt" last night, and he had good things to say. Check out those tweets after the jump where you'll also see Jessica Simpson eating hair, a tattoo proposition from Jim Gaffigan and a "Toy Story 3" designer's holiday card. Director: Jason Robert Stephens.
Writer: Robert Michael Ryan, and Jason Robert Stephens.
Necrosis is a Brink DVD release that stars James Kyson Lee (Heroes), George Stults (7th Heaven), Tiffany, Penny Drake, and Danielle De Luca (Naked Fear). Already close to an April 20th, 2010 DVD and cable release Necrosis utilizes pacing effectively in this indie thriller. Action abounds in the film, which only mildly stumbles in the sound department.
The film attaches itself the the legend of the Donner party who were a group of 1800s travellers that were westward bound. Unfortunately, the Donner party became trapped in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and fed upon each other in a bloody orgy of cannibalism. Many of the characters in Necrosis do not fare much better as character Jerry becomes possessed by either the ghosts of the Donner party or by his paranoid schizophrenia. Either way few come out of this picture alive!

It's been a while since last we heard anything about Necrosis. February to be exact. BrinkDVD announced today that the flick will be hitting home video on April 20th, 2010. Smoke 'em then slay 'em if you got 'em, people!
Necrosis stars James Kyson Lee of “Heroes”, George Stults of “7th Heaven” (don’t pretend like you didn’t watch it), and Penny Drake from Zombie Strippers and features the one and only Michael Berryman in a cameo.
Synopsis
In 2009 six friends arrive at an isolated cabin to enjoy a long weekend in the snow. An epic snowstorm interrupts their vacation, trapping them on the mountain and resurrecting the haunting ghosts of the Donner Party. But, are they true 'entities' or is it simply 'cabin fever' that brings out their fears and darkness, causing friends to turn against each other as reality deteriorates around them.

It's been a long week for everyone in Twitter-Wood, especially for those involved with "New Moon." Someone at Mattel managed to sculpt out the abs on a Jacob Barbie doll in time for the film's release next week, though, and there's a pic in the feed today to prove it. Writer Brian Lynch, meanwhile, tweeted that the "Twilight" frenzy has stirred up cases of mistaken identity for him and prompted numerous friends to ask him how often he gets mistaken for the actor.
Jason Reitman seemed to have been hardest hit by the work week, though, seemingly passing out on his set. Check out that shot, along with with a "Star Trek" actor's brush with Neil Armstrong, Ice-t's run-in with Marilyn Manson and Fred Durst's plans for his "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" night-vision googles. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for November 13, 2009.

We’ve followed this film since November 2007, and I was looking forward to seeing it debut at the newly minted Paranoia film festival. There’s nowt like a ghost movie in the middle of nowhere. Necrosis is a supernatural update of the already spooky Donner party tale, in which six friends go to stay up in a mountain cabin and get trapped in a snowstorm. It turns out that the bad weather is least of their worries. The bad news is that despite the great story potential, location, and a fairly spooky Donner ghoul with Axe, this film is cursed by a lack of suspense, a weak script and poor execution.
