Netflix’s “It’s What’s Inside” is the body-swapping thriller that sparked a bidding war at Sundance, and it’s finally streaming for all to see. And you’re probably going to want to see it a couple of times, because the ensemble cast is constantly rotating through characters, leaving the audience to keep up with who’s who — and in who’s body — at what point in the film.
We’re going to keep the basic cast and character details here spoiler-free, though we will add some hints to help you keep track, in case you’re wondering where you’ve seen that actor before without getting the whole movie ruined for you. But not to worry, if you’re looking for a breakdown of who’s in who’s body, we’ll include that in a spoiler section below, too.

If you're still feeling down in the dumps over "The Batman Part II" being delayed a full year while Warner Bros. figures this DC s**t out, I come bearing good news. "The Penguin," a spin-off series centered on Colin Farrell's crime boss Oswald "Oz" Cobb, aka The Penguin, is coming later this year and it looks to serve as a quasi-sequel to Matt Reeves' Fincher-esque, noirish take on the Caped Crusader. This will also mark the second time the titular Batman villain's rise to power in Gotham City's criminal underworld has been covered on the small screen after "Gotham," a deliriously ridiculous show in which, at one point, one of the series' heroes uncovers a corpse in a refrigerator and immediately pops the cap off a nice cool beverage on the top shelf, reasoning, "If I don't drink it, forensics will."

If cyberattacks and storms are any indication, writer-director Sam Esmail’s “Leave the World Behind” looks to expand upon the more lo-fi terrors of Rumaan Alam’s 2020 novel of the same name.
That’s surely helped by a big budget, as this is a Netflix production from the Obamas’ Higher Ground productions banner, plus major star backing: Julia Roberts, Mahershala Ali, Ethan Hawke, Kevin Bacon, plus “Industry” breakout actress Myha’la Herrold. In the book, an Airbnb vacation goes awry when an unknown apocalyptic event seems to shutter the world around the core characters.
Amanda (Julia Roberts) and her husband Clay (Ethan Hawke), rent a luxurious home for the weekend with their kids, Archie (Charlie Evans) and Rose (Farrah Mackenzie). Their vacation is soon upended when two strangers — G.H. (Mahershala Ali) and his daughter Ruth (Myha’la) — arrive in the night, bearing news of a mysterious cyberattack and seeking refuge...

Ach der lieber! German Expressionism fans everywhere are in sorrow as Sam Esmail’s seven-years-in-the-making passion project, a series adaptation of Fritz Lang’s “Metropolis” has been shelved, Deadline confirms.
The series, from Universal Cable Productions (UCP), had been prepping for production in Australia and was expected to be the biggest TV series ever shot there. It was going to stream on Apple TV+, which had given it a full series order last year. “Push costs and uncertainty related to the ongoing strike led to this difficult decision,” a UCP told Deadline.
“Metropolis” is just the latest casualty of the ongoing WGA strike: the third seasons of “P-Valley” and “Yellowjackets” have been indefinitely delayed, as has the Disney+ show “Daredevil: Born Again” and Season 2 of “Severance.”
Esmail has had a flurry of new shows in recent years: Just since 2020 there’s been USA’s “Briarpatch,” Starz’s “Gaslit,” and Peacock’s “Angelyne” and “The Resort.

Spoiler Alert! This story contains plot points from the finale of 1923 on Paramount+.
The first season of 1923 ended Sunday with not one but three rather dismal developments: Spencer Dutton (Brendan Sklenar) and his wife Alex (Julia Schlaepfer) were torn apart at sea, Donald Whitfield (Timothy Dalton) told Jacob Dutton (Harrison Ford) that he pretty much owns him after having paid the property taxes on Yellowstone, and Elizabeth Dutton (Michelle Randolph) lost the first baby she conceived with her new husband Jack (Darren Mann). Leave it to creator Taylor Sheridan to keep things challenging and sad as hell in his Yellowstone-verse!
Here, actress Randolph — a relative newcomer whose credits include The Resort and The Undertaker’s Wife — talks about shooting that heartbreaking scene with Mann. She also reveals who she likes spending time with now that production has wrapped and what fans always want to talk about if they ever meet her on the street.

The ensemble for Academy Award nominee Ava DuVernay’s upcoming film “Caste” is growing more star-studded with the addition of Niecy Nash-Betts, Jon Bernthal, Vera Farmiga, Nick Offerman, Jasmine Cephas Jones and Connie Nielsen.
The six actors join Academy Award nominee Aunjanue Ellis, who was previously announced as the lead in the film inspired by Pulitzer Prize winner Isabel Wilkerson’s “Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents.” Described in The New York Times as “an instant American classic and almost certainly the keynote nonfiction book of the American century thus far,” the book — and subsequently DuVernay’s film — examines the system of hierarchy that has shaped America.
DuVernay writes, directs and produces the film alongside her longtime collaborator Array Filmworks’ Paul Garnes. “Caste” is currently in production in Georgia, financed by J4A.

As noted in our Best TV Shows list, there was just a lot of television in 2022. It’s so, so easy for great work to get lost in the relentless churn of new streaming content, even as reality programming bends us ever closer to the “30 Rock” universe. It’s even easier for great musical work to get lost on television, where scores are able to have an ambition and originality the rest of a legacy IP production might lack, or to embrace experimental elements viewers may not even notice while they’re watching a conventional-looking scene. We double-checked that film legends John Williams and Howard Shore came to TV to score themes this year, because it feels like a million years ago already now.
Speaking of legacies, Ramin Djawadi and Siddhartha Khosla pushed the boundaries of some of the most iconic recent scores on television even as “The House...

In the span of its first handful of episodes, "Andor" has brought a completely new and much-needed creative revitalization to the "Star Wars" franchise. Much of this has to do with the fact that creator Tony Gilroy ("Michael Clayton," the "Bourne" trilogy) put aside any questions of studio interference -- like the kind that plagued the production of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" -- and simply told the boldly visionary story he set out to tell. But part of that success also came from the clever construction of the first season as a whole.
Split up into a number of mini-arcs, "Andor" has generally featured the same pairing of writer and director attached to three or four blocks of episodes at a time. Director Toby Haynes and Gilroy teamed up for the first few episodes, Susanna White and Dan Gilroy took over for the next three, and Haynes and...

Milioti is the first new cast member to join Colin Farrell, who plays the DC Comics villain, in the upcoming series, which is currently under a working title. Cristin Milioti has entered “The Batman” universe. “The Resort” actress will portray Sofia Falcone, Carmine Falcone’s daughter, in “The Penguin” (working title), the HBO Max limited series and spinoff to Matt Reeves’ film.
The “Made for Love” star will play opposite Colin Farrell’s title character. According to the show’s logline, the DC drama will expand upon the world Reeves has created with the focus on Farrell’s nefarious Gotham City mobster.
In the Robert Pattinson-starring “The Batman,” the kingpin Falcone is portrayed by John Turturro, whose character is at odds with the Penguin for control over the city. The film reflects comic book canon that Selina Kyle/Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz) is one of Falcone’s daughters, so it is potentially plausible that the character could make an appearance in the series alonside Milioti.

The cast of "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" has somehow just gotten even more lovable. Variety is now reporting that William Jackson Harper, star of "The Good Place" and "The Resort," will appear in the new Marvel movie. His role in the 2023 "Ant-Man" sequel is apparently being kept under wraps, and Marvel declined to comment on Variety's scoop.
It's pretty tough to improve upon a new cast that already includes Jonathan Majors and Kathryn Newton, not to mention winsome star Paul Rudd, but Harper's presence is yet another pleasant surprise on the cast list that also includes returning stars Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Evangeline Lilly. While his role is still being kept close to the chest — he hasn't appeared in any footage from the film to date — fans have been mentioning his name during conversations about who would make a great Reed Richards (of Fantastic Four fame) for years.

“There are no small roles,” said famed acting teacher Konstantin Stanislavski. Did he foresee the future of William Jackson Harper, whose addition to the cast of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has been confirmed by Disney sources?
What that role is for Harper is being kept under wraps for now. Harper is best known for starring as Chidi Anagonye in NBC’s multi-dimensional The Good Place, which should give him a proper background in shifting between universes. The Good Place role earned him an Emmy nomination for supporting comedy actor.
Harper joins Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michelle Pfeiffer and Michael Douglas in the cast. All are reprising their roles from 2015’s Ant-Man and 2018’s Ant-Man and the Wasp.
The third film is expected to follow the Ant-Man team as they tangle with Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors), the time-traveling overlord who resides in the microscopic universe of the Quantum Realm.

Harper joins a “Quantumania” cast that includes Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michelle Pfeiffer and Michael Douglas reprising their roles from 2015’s “Ant-Man” and 2018’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp.” The superhero sequel will also see the introduction of Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang, the now grown-up daughter to Rudd’s bumbling hero Scott Lang. The film follows the Ant-Man family as they face down the new threat of Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors), a time-traveling menace who resides in the microscopic universe of the Quantum Realm.

Taylor Sheridan‘s Yellowstone prequel 1923 is turning into something more significant than anticipated. According to Deadline, 1923 will span two eight-episode seasons set across multiple eras. Negotiations to bring cast members back for another batch of episodes are underway. The story explores the Dutton family legacy, including their battle to maintain ranch ownership in the 1940s and 1960s.
1932 will introduce “a new generation of the Dutton family and explore the early 20th century when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition and the Great Depression all plague the mountain west, and the Duttons who call it home.”
The first Yellowstone prequel series, 1883, starred Sam Elliott, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and Isabel May and followed “the Dutton family as they embark on a journey west through the Great Plains toward the last bastion of untamed America. It is a stark retelling of Western expansion, and an intense study of one family fleeing...

With his signature smile and jolly attitude, Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) once said: "I love meeting people's moms. It's like reading an instruction manual as to why they're nuts." Be careful what you wish for Ted, because the time has come for AFC Richmond and the entire viewing audience to read your instruction manual and learn all your childhood secrets. That's right — season 3 of "Ted Lasso" will introduce the titular football coach's mother.
Per Above The Line, Veteran actress Becky Ann Baker is joining the gilded cast of the acclaimed Apple TV+ series. Baker is perhaps best known for two other hit series where she played mother to the main character: "Freaks and Geeks" and "Girls." Most recently she had a recurring role in Peacock's "The Resort" and starred in the Katie Holmes romcom "Alone Together." For "Ted Lasso," she'll be playing mother to Sudeikis character, a fitting development following...

Michael Cera, Tim Meadows, comedian Kate Berlant, Dylan Baker (“The Resort”) and Dylan Gelula (“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”) have also been cast in the film, written and directed by Norwegian filmmaker Kristoffer Borgli.

Borgli’s credits include the feature film “Sick of Myself,” which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, as well as several short films, including “Former Cult Member Hears Music for the First Time” and “Eer,” which played at Sundance.

The predicted TV Movie/Limited Series Actor lineup for the Golden Globes has remained consistent for quite a while — Evan Peters (“Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story”), Taron Egerton (“Black Bird”), Sebastian Stan (“Pam and Tommy”), Andrew Garfield (“Under the Banner of Heaven”) and Colin Firth (“The Staircase”) — all for playing real life characters. But don’t be surprised to see another name break through on this list, especially if the Globes have the opportunity to reward him first (something the Hollywood Foreign Press lives for).
