“It’s the most wonderful time of the year” goes the Xmas song, but it also applies to sorting through the dreck and crap that came out of Bollywood in 2015. I watched many of these duds so that you don’t have to, and trust me they’re not as hilarious as I’m going to make them, because for every great Jodi like Srk-Kajol in Dilwale there’s Sunny Leone being paired with Ram Kapoor. Yet there were some awful gems like Msg and its sequel that came out in the same year – take that annual Fast and Furious franchise! Herewith is the worst and secretly hilarious of the year.
Worst Actor – Emraan Hashmi for Hamari Adhuri Kahani/Mr X
After doing so well in Shanghai, and Ghanchakkar, Emraan decided to play it safe with his performances in Hamari Adhuri Kahani (paired opposite Vidya Balan) and the atrocious Mr X.

After taking a sabbatical from acting owing to lack of offers, Dino Morea decided to polish his acting skills and therefore joined a course for it. And now deciding to make a comeback with the bang, the actor approached Sanjay Gupta for his upcoming Mumbai Saga. Post Acid Factory, Dino will act once in a Sanjay Gupta film where he will be reprising the role of an industrialist. Sanjay who was impressed with Dino's efforts and enthusiasm to return to the industry stated that models like Dino and John should be given time and good roles and shouldn't be written off from the industry. We have heard his fab music in films like Acid Factory, Hide & Seek, Knockout and Challo Dilli. The composer, with the very rock edge, has always impressed with his cool mix of dance electro synth beats and the full on rock guitar riffs he lays down. His newest Ost is for the dramatic action thriller Enemmy, which stars Mithun Chakraborty, Suniel Shetty, Kay Kay Menon, Johny Lever and Mahaakshay directed by Ashu Trikha. The music director created four cool very rock flavored tracks for the film and even sang for the first time! We caught up with Gourov Dasgupta and talked creating the songs of Enemmy including working with Mithun da! The musician also gives shout outs to his team that included music producer Roshan Balu, lyricist Manthan and singers Torsha and Keshav, which we think is totally cool! Check it out!

I've been waiting for this trailer for a long time and it looks even better than I'd hoped! From director Suparn Verma (Acid Factory, Ek Haseena Ek Khiladi) comes Aatma (Spirit/Soul), a new kind of ghost story. Aatma stars Bollywood bombshell Bipasha Basu, who is no stranger to horror, and my favorite working actor, Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Basu plays the single mother of a young child whose father has died, but not without leaving a huge stain on his wife's life. Nawaz's character was a horribly abusive husband, and his death leaves Basu free to raise her daughter without fear. However, when strange things start happening, Basu realizes that she may not be as free of her past as she thinks. Nawaz is back from the...

Otherwise in his last major film Lanka he was an antagonist whereas in Aarakshan, Raajneeti, Jail and Acid Factory, he was one of the many principal characters. John Abraham is the chosen one by Sanjay Gupta for his comeback film. The actor has been signed up for an action thriller which would be going on floors soon. This would also serve as a reunion for Sanjay Gupta and John Abraham who had last worked together in Zinda (2006). "For quite some time, Sanjay has been deciding on the starcast for his next multi-starrer. In fact this new action thriller that he would be directing is being pitched as the 'baap of all action entertainers' that have ever come out of Bollywood. It's a multi starrer and while there are number of other actors who are in the film, John is a prominent name to be on board", says a source closely attached to the film. After Zinda, Sanjay Gupta went on a sabbatical for five years and only shot for one of the short stories in Dus Kahaniyaan.

Back in December, we told you that Irrfan Khan (In Treatment) had joined the cast of Marc Webb‘s forthcoming, as yet Untitled Spider-Man Reboot as Nels Van Atter, alongside Annie Parisse (Fringe, The Tested) who is playing Van Atter’s wife. Nels Van Atter was rumored to be the film’s second villain.
In the comics, Van Atter was Mendel Stromm’s research assistant, and an employee of Norman Osborne. He was used in high-tech experiments, and served as a test subject for a chemical that was developed by Osborne and Stromm, which turned him into a red beast with fangs and claws known as Proto-Goblin.
In a recent interview with Indian Express, Irrfan Khan revealed that he won’t be a masked villain, nor will he be turning into a monster in the film.

How would you describe yourself as a film maker?
I have never set any boundary as a producer till date. Today making any film is per se a big risk but then at the end of the day, the fact remains that I just cannot sell anything else for a living. The current scenario as far as the film industry is concerned is such that the risks inherent in film making are quite high. However, all said and done what.

Bollywood's best-loved character actor, Boman Irani, steps forward in a unique role once again as the ageing Maharaja of Mumbai, Harry Holker, in the upcoming movie Fruit & Nut. Based lovingly on the character or Hugh Hefner, playboy Harry is constantly surrounded by a bevy of beauties, celebrating life in lounge lizard style as he proclaims himself the ruler of Mumbai. Boman is delighted with the role: "There are different shades to the character but it is among the funniest characters I have ever played," he says, "It's weirdly funny. We are aware that Mumbai never had a Maharaja yet there is a meaning to my character of Maharaja Harry Holkar." The film also stars Acid Factory's Dia Mirza.
There's a double dose of Boman in Well Done Abba , which also stars Minissha Lamba. The film is being shown at the London International Film Festival where the screening will be attended by director Shyam Benegal.

Aftab Shivdasani may have debuted as a young boy when he played one of the orphan children in Mr. India, but the actor has moved on at a rapid pace to gain himself a credible reputation in films. Known for his remarkable dancing and impressive comic timing, Aftab quickly rose to fame as an actor to watch out for. In the past year, you've seen him battle it out in Kambakth Ishq and then in Daddy Cool. The actor is back yet again but this time in a totally different avatar. After playing the "funny-guy" role numerous times, he will next be seen in Sanjay Gupta's Acid Factory where Aftab loses the humorous act only to put take on the action hero hat. Bollyspice chats with Aftab Shivdasani as he speaks comedy, action and Acid Factory.
It's been a busy year! Kambakth Ishq, Daddy Cool and now Acid Factory.

He has got the looks, he has got the voice, and on top of all that he has the talent to excel in all kinds of different roles. Dino Morea has made us laugh, made us swoon (so many times), and thrilled us with his performances. Up next, the hot thespian is getting ready to blow audiences away with his new avatar in Acid Factory. In the many-layered thriller, to be released October 9th, Dino plays a quirky, odd, edgy character, and from what we hear has done justice to it in spades! Dino says that this role gave him the chance to really go a bit crazy with his character and the darker shades really gave him scope as an actor. I got the chance to talk with Dino about Acid Factory and well... I will let him tell you all about it! Enjoy!

How excited are you as an actor about Acid Factory?
I should say that though I am quite excited about the fact that Acid Factory will take me to the next level as an actor. I am not nervous at all. I remember when I heard the script of ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’ when Rajkumar Hirani narrated it to me; I told him I could not wait till I saw the complete film. This time also when Suparn narrated the subject to me, I told him that it was a brilliant.

With Sanjay Gupta's big star cast venture, Acid Factory, being directed by whiz man, Suparn Verma, all set to release this Friday, we were very curious to know how he (Suparn) managed the show. In fact, more than managing the schedules of so many well known stars, we were more keen to know if there were any ego hassles or clashes between them. However, on the contrary, Suparn had something very interesting to tell us about the bonhomie amongst the stars on the sets of Acid Fa...

Acid Factory, a Sanjay Gupta production which is directed by Suparn Verma (Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena) is all set to arrive this Friday. Considering the fact that the film is produced by Sanjay Gupta, a successful director himself, one can't help but ask Suparn if it was actually a cake walk for him to direct the film. Was it easy for him to convince Sanjay Gupta to produce Acid Factory, after all Suparn didn't quite have a good beginning at the box-office after Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena!...
