When John Petty and Rodney Baze go to Harlan DeGroat's place, DeGroat's lollipop changes size between shots.
When DeGroat arrives at the bar, in the final scene, it is almost dark. However, the chase afterwards, inside the plant, it is done on a different time of the day, on or around lunchtime (based on the shadows cast).
When we first see the Braddock Chief of Police, he wears four stars on his collar and on his epaulets. Later, in the office when talking to Russell, he has one star sewn on his epaulets.
When DeGroat and Rodney Baze first meet, DeGroat is smoking a cigarette. DeGroat walks up to Rodney and the shot closes to an extreme closeup showing nothing but their faces. The next time DeGroat 's hand comes into frame, the cigarette has changed to a half eaten lollipop.
When Russell went to see Lena for the first time since he got out of prison, she was in the playground and her hair was in a ponytail. In the next moment when she was walking and talking to Russell, her ponytail was gone.
Once again, Hollywood ignored actual hunting regulations when making a hunting scene in Pennsylvania. 1. The characters, Red and Russell Blaze are not wearing the required amount of Blaze Orange. 2. The deer was not tagged after it was shot. Some talk about whether or not Russell had a license would have been entirely in order.
When Rodney fights in NJ and is knocked out, the other fighter jumps on him and keeps hitting the left side of Rodney's face. When Degroat comes in the back room following the fight, the right side of Rodney's face is most damaged. Apparently they just got the sides mixed up.
