The neighbourhood, in family with bill rahn, indian annecdotes and fairytails or simply loves the appalachian wilderness then you will not find this almost 2 hour action-mystery-drama, consisting of far too much monolouges and thinktankthought sherlock mystery cracking with the help of one native woman that considers white men as the worst of its kind, the white man being the cool ultra american lucky luke that while cleaning up and mustering around his diseased fathers belongings, comes over a treasure map where gold is the isthmus of it all.
Having to fight his way through the wilderness, being bullied by chew tobacco spitting georgian rednecks that forgot the sunfactor lotion while moonshining by the nearest creek, who also knows about the oro legend, makes the race and sets the tone for the movie, written by, produced by, acted by, directed by edited by ...in other words yet another homemade bankrupted filmproject... signed and commited by bill rahn (ran is the norwegian word for robbery...) so consider your time of life left to live, its not worth my time and again, there aint too many flaws, and the music is nice country style, it is just too far streched and the plot is boring, not much indian johnas here thinks the grumpy old man. Not worth a re-view.

Plays like softcore smut without the smut.
Terrible acting combined with very attractive, very flirtatious women had me waiting for them to take their clothes off!
This movie is set where I grew up and the actors they get to play locals is downright offensive and not believable. +1 for pretty women but terrible actors.

Is this an amateur production done for highschool?
Strangely the concept and story line are not too bad. Where it falls down is every where else. The acting is wooden, and the dialogue is awkward. First of all the ex-ranger is some weird idea of a trained professional in which the concept bares no resemblance to anyone with training. The weapons he uses are basically toys, and the skills he portrays are ridiculous. Its obvious there was no firearm safety expert in this production. In one scene he literally puts his sidearm against a friends face. All the firearm use was nothing like using a real weapon. The way weapons are held says it all. The two ex-military talked about weapons in a way no-one who had been trained would. It was funny in a couple of scenes where knives were thrown like they were toys rather then weapons. Military don't throw knives, unless they wish to give the enemy a weapon to use against them. Its just not done. A thrown weapon has to have real impact enough to knock someone down, a leave a lethal injury. A heavy tomahawk could do that, but not a little knife.
Any scene with women was like a cartoon caricature of a sexy girl. His sister, and her friend were in trampy clothes, and overweight, and tried to look sexy lounging around, and just looked trashy. Many of the scenes jumped locations without any lead in.
Don't look for any decent acting in this time waster. No one here has every managed to do well in acting class.

if only there was a zero
If ever a movie deserved a zero rating this would be one for sure. It was horribly written, acted, filmed. If three 12 year old kids got bored and decided to make a bad movie, this would be worse.
Bad cliches for miles. What a waste of my life. Seriously sorry I watch any of this. Shame on IMDB if they don't let this go through so others can save valuable time from their lives.

This movie is horrible
Here is my grading:
Script: 1 Directing: 1 Acting: 2 Continuity: 1 Special Effects: 1 Sound effects: 1
Since when does a shotgun sound the same as ANY pistol? Or why a rifle sounds like an air rifle? Or does anyone in real life keep using someone's first name, over and over again? These are just some of the questions I kept asking myself. Even the ending was VERY unclimactic and predictable. Don't waste even 1 minute watching this waste no talent!

Stop the hate.
I've read every review on this movie. Heck, I helped make this movie. All I'm going to say to all you, if you go to see it, expecting a million dollar budgeted movie, go watch something else. We did what Bill and the others saw in their vision for this movie, the actors worked hard for it, and the crew busted it.
Keep your expectations in check. Great Saturday movie with the kids!
I saw Oro Arrowhead with my family in Hickory, NC. It looks like they've changed the title. The movie reminded me of the simple, low budget adventures I used to watch during my 1980's childhood. Nothing spectacular, just fun. Easy to watch, nothing foul or embarrassing, just good family entertainment. Sure, it's not a mega-budget film, but it doesn't claim to be. I think the acting was decent - the lead actors did a great job - and the story was interesting. There's not much more I required on that particular Saturday, and you know what? The kids loved it! Mission accomplished.

A plesant addition to my streaming feed
Movie fell into my watch queue on YouTube. While a bit surprised at first, I watched this movie anyway. I found that while it was obviously not a top budget movie, I was impressed with the acting abilities and talent shown. The casting was good and the main characters fit well into their roles. One of the better movies that have been just watched half on auto-pilot. Good acting, intensity of the story line, taking place in a local (to me) area. I believe through the it was one of the best movie I have seen while not really looking for something in particular. I found it to be it is entertaining for all ages, the movie can be watched by a small child and a fully grown adult alike. I give Legend of Oro Arrowhead 8 out of 10 stars, and recommend it for ages 12 to 18, plus adults. Legend of Oro Arrowhead is available on several major streaming platforms.

Ignore the negative reviews. Not perfect, but Fun.
Legend of the Oro Arrowhead is far from a GREAT movie. It is a good one, though. It's fun. I've never heard of any of the actors, but most do a solid, if not very respectable job. The Jim character is very believable and compelling. His counterpart is passionate in her deliveries and easy on the eyes. The story is a simple one, and interesting in that it tells a story about a magical arrowhead protected by the Cherokee. I don't know much about the Cherokee, but there seemed to be an effort to make at least part of their actual history known through the film. The movie has some good action in places, a few genuinely funny parts...chicken squirrel is hilarious...and an ending that makes me think this is the beginning of a larger story. It's not going to be your favorite movie, but it's definitely worth watching.
Greatest Movie Of All Time
When I watched this movie I was amazed how good the acting was in it especially the main characters acting it was on point. Another thing i liked about the movie was the intensity of the story line, the movie takes place in a small town and has a simple plot. I think this is the best movie I have ever seen for these reasons and I also liked it because it is entertaining for all ages, the movie can be watched by a small child and a fully grown adult. Another thing I liked from this movie is they used their money perfectly, they didn't use their budget in dumbs ways they made actually legit props like the arrowhead. I give this movie a 10/10.

A Balance Of Mystery, Suspense And Action, This Film Is A Must-See For All Action-Film Lovers
Get ready for the adventure of your life when you experience Legend of Oro Arrowhead! A balance of mystery, suspense and action, this film is a must-see for all action-film lovers. The acting and storyline bring out the best of each of these elements.
Jim Powell (Stephen Thompson) visits his childhood house when his father dies to spend some time with his father's friends. When he arrives, however, he finds some strange objects throughout the house that lead him to believe his father's death might have been more than a heart attack. He digs deeper and deeper, despite receiving many warnings to stop the pursuit, eventually realizing there's no way to back out. And now he's in just as much danger as his father was.
Legend of Oro Arrowhead has an excellent plot. The storyline is filled with unexpected twists and turns, with the suspense keeping you on the edge of your seat. Even friends and family that seem like allies are suspect, because the enemy has eyes everywhere. With every break in suspense, friendships and romance are developed even further. Stephen Thompson as Jim and Vanessa Ore as Gola pull this off exceptionally well. They're awkwardly in love at the same time they're dealing with perilous missions to save themselves and others. In addition, the actors who play the antagonists stand out. Robbie Dernehl as Sable Fade, the cruel, rich woman who will do anything to get her hands on the fabled, powerful arrowhead, excels in her role. Her air of superiority and impatience perfectly combines with her truly evil inner self. While Jim and Gola journey through the woods to find the arrowhead, there are stunning birds-eye views of the forest: A beautiful clearing, a magnificent waterfall and hundreds of towering trees are just a few of the mind-blowingly gorgeous landscape shots.
The message of Legend of Oro Arrowhead is first and foremost to listen to people you trust. Many family friends warn Jim to mind his business and stay out of the forest, but Jim doesn't listen-this end up endangering not only him, but also anyone related to him. The film also expresses ideas of friendship, wisdom and bravery. There is a lot of gun violence, and there are some extremely intense scenes.
I give Legend of Oro Arrowhead 4.5 out of 5 stars, and recommend it for ages 12 to 18, plus adults. Legend of Oro Arrowhead will be available on all major streaming and cable platforms on June 7, 2022. By Kyla C., KIDS FIRST!
