For us westeners with our ways of life and dicipline, and aversion against hirarkistic culture and lack of respect to the parents and elders. its also hard to differ rage from love with all that husband and children spanked and beated at a daily basis, to us thats slapstick, for koreans its daily discipline...
this film though is a straight hi flying aces of comedy, with a little spy action, and airplane hijack situation, in the name of ROK. the madam in the title are actually a NOK defector, starting a disguised living , starting a family life and a child, sell pastries at the local market for a living. one day this family wins a trip to hawaii, but to get there they will need passports, and then its game on...
its trully a film with inconsistencies and some strange editing, but its full of marvelous fist fight, knife slithering and combatfighting that will impress even the squemiest among viewers. the shock and awe factor gives you room for some good laughs, fascial expressions and the bow and bend humbleness are relly entertaining and the story that aint original at all feels original because its korean made.
production is a usual very smooth and gross, the design of locations make you feel you are in a big building, with compartments that i never knew excisted on a 757 or 767 boeing aircraft. the filmo and soundwork makes belief being on the flight as a fly on the wall, and the score are just eminent and sound beautiful, and engages you from the start.
its a film about a plane that would have crashed in real life, due to pressure loss due to lack of a door in the fuselage frame, but everything works in the movies, and i think this is a great movie to watch on a saturday family get together by the screen. higly recommended by the grumpy old man.

It was okay and defenitely good to watch with old folks. Korean movies get quite violent/bloody in many ways. I thought this movie was good enough to watch with parents or with childs.
But if I had a chance to watch one movie a week, might not be on top list. So if your planning to watch a comical Korean movie with your folks. I think it's entertaining enough.

I truly recommend "Okay Madam" to anyone who wants to just laugh their ass off. It's another one of those dumb movies where it's good, and you're entertained the whole way.
The character Guy Stewart is definitely one of my favorites in the movie. He appears somewhat at the beginning and pops up throughout the film, so watch out for him!
This movie is perfect for anyone looking for something light-hearted and full of laughter. If you want nothing serious and just a fun, entertaining ride, "Okay Madam" is definitely worth a watch.

This movie is total mess. I just wasted my time. Of course, it is not also a comedy movie. Acting was too poor. Why people are praising so much? God knows!!
Decent comedy action. Go Watch.
I personally really liked the steward who is very earnest about maintaining the safety of the passengers by looking for suspicious folks. He has the funniest interactions with everyone. You'll see.

Uhm Jung Hwa is one of the best comic actresses and she carries this show really well. Liked the story it's laugh out loud funny and clever for a comedy. Lots of little details that are thoughtfully put together. Small characters also have their moment to shine. The action on the airplane is funny and original. Supporting cast is good too and has many familiar faces for fans of Kdrama and movies including Park Sung Woon who is usually quite serious looking and Lee Sang Yoong as a N Korean agent. 95% of this movie is funny so it's worth a watch.

It's just frustrating when the director cooks a good meal only to burn it down. This movie is like walking through a lily garden and ending up in a Pigsty. What a Waste.
I like this kind of action comedy movie. The plots is unpredictable and beyond my expectations. Every storyline is finish and get its answer. Good job.

I always like action comedies at the same time, this is my favorite genre always, the film in short is great ❤❤
Mi-Young (Uhm Jung-Hwa) runs a shop at a traditional market, where she makes and sells twisted bread sticks. Her husband Seok-Hwan (Park Sung-Woong) works as a computer repairman. One day, Seok-Hwan wins a free trip to Hawaii. Mi-Young and Seok-Hwan will go on their first international trip together. When Mi-Young and Seok-Hwan get on the airplane to Hawaii, things don't go as expected. Terrorists, including Cheol-Seung (Lee Sang-Yoon), who chase after a secret agent, get on the same airplane. The passengers soon become hostages. Suddenly, Mi-Young and Seok-Hwan begin to rescue the passengers.
