I was looking for the Argentine movie of the same title which had. been recommended to me, and ended up watching this one when I found it. I'm glad I did. Very compelling characters, well acted, and a great screenplay that kept me intrigued all the way through. I am glad that the endgame, after the robbery, was also included. It made for a much richer story.

So this was about the biggest Paper Money Heist of last century. No Weapons, No Bloodshed, No Modern day communication gizmos yet $33 Million(23 Billion Pesos) Stolen.
Now let's compare this to 'La Casa De Papel' better known as Money Heist. The series no one was talking about until it made it to Netflix and got ruined in the 2nd Story.
Obviously, this isnt grand. It has great set of characters played by finesse, punctuated by nifty Nicknames. It captures the sequence of events set in 1994 and picturizes them in a highly efficient way.
Theres enough tension build up that you need an in a heist situation.
Theres your regular opportunity, Theres the plot, the design, the recruitment, the plan, the pulling off and the escape.
It captures the aftermath as well.
This is not a Grand Setup but if you really want to re-live the genius behind one of the greatest heist without violence, give this Short series a Go. You wont be disappointed for sure. Theres style and theres substance as well. Not Fake like the 2nd Season(2nd Heist) of Money Heist
Very reminiscent of The League of Gentlemen (1960 UK), where there's always that sinking feeling that the Law is never more than 2 steps behind. But the object - to lead the audience to side with villains is done PERFECTLY here. There are also moments of humor, such as the treatment of the Police Lieutenant in charge of the bank's ramshackle "guardias" - priceless! There's few TeleSeries you could watch a second time, but this one's among those precious few.

Gripping, fast pace, well edited, well written, a good combination between an action heist thriller and comedy. All the characters are likeble, complex and believable. Awesome soundtrack, with salsa, cumbia and Latin Rock.

I was at first scared to find another CASA DEL PAPEL - MONEY HEIST- crap, in the nasty pure latino extravaganza style, closer to Guy Ritchie's world than anything else. Well, it begins this way, especially during the recuit team members sequences. But if you know the movie history, more particularly the heist movie history, you know that all those topics, from two decades now, are more light crime dramas, if not nearly comedies, than dark, bloody and gritty features. Light hearted crime films, such as this one, speaking of the big London heist, pulled several years ago by old timers, and recently shown in theaters starring Mike Caine. Speaking of him, remember his performance in ITALIAN JOB, back in 1969, during a long period of the late sixties and early seventies, where heist movies were legions, legions, and also light hearted flicks. But this series is not totally like MONEY HEIST garbage stuff, maybe only the first part. Concerning the second one, the pace and atmosphere changes totally, becoming violent and gloomy, a radical change, believe me. But those robbers were really amateurs pulling such a job with no gloves at all, really amateurs. But maybe this was this way that the real gangsters executed the heist. Not a bad series because acting is effective.

I really enjoyed this series. The acting, scenography and cinematography are superb. I suffered and laughed with the characters, especially with the 2 main ones, Molina and Chayo. Thumbs up!
This is a reasonably good, but somewhat predictable show. The production values are high and the acting is satisfactory, but nothing special.
I watched all the episodes so it must have been good enough to keep me involved, but it could have been better. It certainly would have benefited by having a better director increase the tension, especially in the final episode, which was just exposition.
The true story is much more interesting and I don't understand why they made a fictional account of the heist.

Very good series. Fast, precise, efficient. Parra in the character of "Chayo" and Tappan in the character of "El Abogado" demonstrate once again why they are two of the most outstanding Latin American actors. Similarly, it is worth highlighting Juan Sebastián Calero as "Sarandino", who is always a good supporting actor who reinforces the plot in the series. The series its stylish and manages to get away from the melodrama and soap opera cliché that characterizes Latin American series. The soundtrack was very well chosen, accompanied by mythical Latin American songs, especially those vallenatos that give more coherence and rhythm to the story, as it accompanies the Valledupar stage. In the same way, it is a pleasure to hear an accent different from that of Medellín or Bogotá on television. I am Puerto Rican and visit Medellin in many occasions and people say to me that the costeño accent is a bit like ours, but I have to say no. However, it was a pleasure to see that they transferred that "conflict" between the "cachacos" and the "costeños" in a peculiar way and, even, in a humorous way. Anyway, good series, which reflects another Latin American story that moves away from the typical "narco". Well played by Netflix.

Cars that won't start, lighters that won't light, you know, the usual small stuff that is used to create tension. The music is bad, pacing is ok, characters are ok, story is as any usual heist movie/series.
With limited information to work with the film makers acknowledge repeatedly that all events are fabricated and based on theories. So take this movie with a grain of salt. Still somewhat entertaining if you are able to overlook several flaws and miscues.

It is very interesting to see the "history behind the history" as I was living in Colombia when this happened and really very few details were known to the general public as to how the heist really happened.
Characters are believable and the plot follows what went on behind the scenes.
Great product and the mini-series format helps the story-telling

They managed to take a film with what seems to be a pretty decent budget, a potentially really good plot and an amazing cast and turned into a poorly written piece of garbage not worth 5 minutes of your time. I gave it a shot, I really did, i watched the whole thing. The lines seemed extremely forced and the whole thing had a bunch of cliches that were poorly executed an in bad taste i.e. "puta" "hijo de puta"
The story is simple, straightforward and complete, each episode has the right time, simple characters, in-depth description, and the robbery method returns to the original. No time wasted
Much better than the third quarter of Money Heist

Really enjoyed this little gem of a series. The acting is superb and the story is equally exciting, tense, sad and funny. It's only six episodes long, so what have you got to lose? Highly recommended.

Amazing series and the only thing I didn't like...too short of a series and it's so good, it flies too quick, but I watched it 2x!!
One of the best actors in the world, I'd watch a kindergarten play if he was in it! Time for him to get the awards and honors he deserves! Viva Andres!!
Very compelling and with very proven good actors, never let go its fast pace from beginning to end. My only criticism is that the crooks clear so many hurdles in such a short time that the series sidesteps the realm of fantasy
All characters were awesome and i related to them quite readily. Only question I have, what happened to Mr. Kike. I may have been getting a sandwich when they played that part or maybe they never did. Anyway I thought it was a very good movie that entertained me from beginning to end. I followed the entire story without any difficulty. A very good director made this film, whoever he was.
Thoroughly entertaining because it's fast-paced while what you see seems realistic and the characters are not just cartoons(. Great acting ) ....unlike oher shows about thieves and robberies.
Ah, the music really compiles a lot of genres from Colombian artists that don't get exposure nowadays.
Highly recommended.

Story, well played and portrayed. With limited detail of real life events, the crew has plugged the holes just the way it should have been. Keeping everyone on the edge.
Only complaint, regarding the twists, outcomes and the end, but that's how life is and that's how it happened..
Must watch, even if you don't know spanish, go with subtitles, worth the effort and hold in after first episode.. keep watching..

It is bad on many levels
The story, the twist, the characters, the bad music, the bad acting and overall vibe. Just awful. I wasted my time.

I enjoyed watching this series. Everything is good: story, pace, acting ... Only the stage setting was a bit cheap and unconvincing. Usually I don't like gangster movies or series with so-called humor. In this series however, the humor was fine and not overdone.
