It's been a year since the events of the original Subnautica game. Robin, our protagonist, just wants some closure on her late sister, who died while researching the alien lifeforms of this planet. Robin just wants to know what happened to her, and to finish what her sister started. But it seems she won't be taking this journey alone, something's inside her mind that will not, and can not escape her: A survivor of the long forgotten precursor species, wanting to find a new body.
