First introduced in Call Of Duty Modern Warfare, Gunfight was an immediate success amongst those who found themselves spending the majority of time playing multiplayer. Offering a nice break from some of the game's bigger maps and more involved game modes, Gunfight brings the player experience back to the basics by offering quick matches of nothing but gunplay.

Many players had already found themselves doing something similar in custom matches with friends so having a game mode catered to a 2 or 3 man team was obviously a major hit, and a no-brainer to bring back for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
