Envy Peru, the winner of Drag Race Holland, revealed that she was attacked while riding a bus in Amsterdam in an Instagram post.
She called this assault a “wake-up call” for her and the LGBTQ community.
“I was attacked in broad daylight by 4 young men while on the bus in Amsterdam. They threatened me with a weapon while making offensive slurs towards me and filming it. Even when I tried to distance myself from the situation by moving away, they continued and kept trying to hit me,” she wrote. “As I tried to get away, what shocked me the most was that only one sweet lady stood up for me – in a whole bus full of people.”
The attacks didn’t end there and when Peru got off the bus she “sensed the boys following me, then one of them ran towards me and kicked me to the floor. Four...

The dawn of RuPaul’s Drag Race at the turn of the 2010s marked the beginning of drag’s proliferation in the mainstream and on television. Drag Race has exploded all over the world with over a dozen (and counting) international franchises, and has inspired the creation of new shows centered around drag. Queen of the Universe is one of these shows, combining drag with live singing in a Drag Race-meets-American Idol-style competition. And when Queen of the Universe returns for its second season on Paramount+ in March 2023, two Drag Race alumnae will be competing for the crown.

The LALAPaRuZa lip sync smackdown has become one of RuPaul’s Drag Race‘s most iconic challenges, as queens compete against each other in jaw-dropping lip syncs to keep their spot in the competition. Season 15 of Drag Race had a larger-than-life LALAPaRuZa, with queens performing to songs such as Anitta‘s “Boys Don’t Cry” and Joan Jett’s “Do You Wanna Touch Me.” Some of the songs in the lip sync tournament have been used on Drag Race in the past.

On the February 1 premiere of “RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs. The World,” RuPaul Charles brought together nine all-stars from the series’ many franchises to compete against each other in the ultimate contest to find the “queen of the mother-tucking world.” Hosted in the United Kingdom, the new series sets three queens from the UK franchise as hosts to six other competitors. After a talent showcase, Lemon (5th place on “Canada’s Drag Race” season 1) and Janey Jacké (2nd placeon “Drag Race Holland” season 1) fell to the bottom. In traditional All Stars rules, the top two lipsynced for the right to send one of the bottom two home. In that lipsync, host of “Drag Race Thailand” Pangina Heals defeated “Canada’s Drag Race” season 1 fourth-placer Jimbo and sent her sister Lemon packing.

Many things are different on Drag Race Holland—the language, the celebrities, the judges, the host—but it does still have at least one thing in common with America's Drag Race, and that is a love of questionable reality TV stars. It's also got Snatch Game. E! News has an exclusive first look at Drag Race Holland's first installment of the fan fave Drag Race challenge, which forces the queens to impersonate celebs in a game show format, and you will absolutely recognize at least one of the celebs being impersonated. Er, you might not call him a celeb, but you'll recognize him either way: Joe Exotic, brought to new life by contestant ChelseaBoy. Of course, Joe Exotic was...
