Tubi, Fox’s free streaming service, has announced its list of August titles. The Tubi August 2024 slate features new Tubi Originals and numerous action, art house, Black cinema, comedy, documentary, drama, horror, kids and family, romance, sci-fi and fantasy, thriller, and Western titles.

As a leading ad-supported video-on-demand service, the company engages diverse audiences through a personalized experience and the world’s largest content library: over 200,000 movies and TV episodes, a growing collection of Tubi Originals, and nearly 250 Fast channels.

You can watch the Tubi August 2024 lineup for free on Android and iOS mobile devices, Amazon Echo Show, Google Nest Hub Max, Comcast Xfinity X1, and Cox Contour.

You can also watch the service on connected television devices such as Amazon Fire TV, Vizio TVs, Sony TVs, Samsung TVs, Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast, Android TV, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and on the Tubi site.

Apparently its a spoof of various found-footage flicks like The Devil Inside and the Paranormal Activity films. As long as they don't spoof the winning Chronicle, I'm Ok with it. Written and Directed by Stan Foster, Preacher's Kid is a story inspired by the biblical Prodigal Son, and though delivered through a modern perspective, it's surprisingly true to the concept. It's surprising, because it's a story without answer or direction, and one that focuses on a concept which all but forces audiences to demand both. LeToya Luckett stars as Angie, daughter of a preacher and singing hopeful, who finds her way to a traveling gospel show, and believes she's found her calling. Both in the idea of performing in the show, and in the show's star, Devlin (Durrell "Tank" Babbs). The allure of showbiz, and Devlin's attention lead Angie to life on the road, to the great disappointment of her father. Of course, she soon learns that such a life isn't quite what she expected, and being involved in a gospel show doesn't exactly mean you're the model of religious behavior.

Robert Miano is starring in the indie suspense thriller Locked in a Room.

The 67-year-old American actor, known for his many mobster roles, was in 2009's Fast & Furious and starred alongside Al Pacino and Johnny Depp in 1997's Mafia drama Donnie Brasco.

Locked in a Room is produced by At Risk Entertainment and will be directed by Larry Simmons, and produced by Gordon Djordjevski, Matthew Earl Jones, DJ Perry, and Phyliss Larrymore Kelly.

The film also stars Carlucci Weyant (The Longest Yard, The Young and the Restless), and Rae'ven Larrymore Kelly (Preacher's Kid, A Time to Kill). Filming took place in Detroit at the end of March.

At Risk Entertainment is a Michigan-based company aiming to produce two to three motion pictures a year.
