The script was written specifically for Mario Greigo and Juan Carlos Guzman.
During the lensing of the kitchen scene, the two actors spoke with such force and conviction that when the scene was over everyone was spellbound - even the Director did not say "cut". Only until one of the actors asked it that was a cut did the atmosphere break. One of the crew said you could feel the emotion between the two actors in the air.
The toaster was the first "prop" made for an Eno River Media Production movie. The toaster would eject the toast with a push of a button on a wired remote.
Three packs of bacon were used in shooting all the takes in the kitchen cooking scenes. New bacon had to be used each time, so the crew happily ate all the bacon after each shot.
The Director and Producers considered having the soldier fade away at the end of the movie when the Father looks back, but decided to go with an empty room instead.
