Pink & Daughter Willow Hart Visit Broadway Shows 'Hadestown' & 'The Great Gatsby' During Tour Break!
P!nk and her daughter Willow Hart enjoyed a fun weekend enjoying Broadway shows during a break from touring!
In a post on Instagram, Pink explained to fans that Willow is a massive musical theatre fan.
“As most of you know, as a mother, I am happy as long as my kids are being their authentic selves, and they’re not assholes,” Pink said. “I am happy as long as there is a light in their eyes. I am under no illusion that any of this is easy. Parenting, being a kid, being on this earth, any of it. As long as we are doing ‘almost our best’, and allowing others to be their true selves- then I think we’re nailing it. But having a theater kid? Ultimate dream slash best case scenario. And being able to take her and expose her to this artform that lives?”

Chuck Palahniuk’s latest novel is an experimental and subversive coming of age satire that skewers an increasingly commodified society through hallucinogenic hubris.
“Clarity is paramount. Even when the goal is to create confusion.”
Chuck Palahniuk is one of this generation’s most explosive and subversive storytellers, but there have been increasingly diminishing returns for his more recent works, many of which have even felt like parodies of what’s expected from a Palahniuk novel. Palahniuk has released more than 20 novels, novellas, and short story collections in under three decades, which reflects a constant desire to speak to the world and eschew it. He’s not a writer who necessarily hoards ideas, which can sometimes lead to more hits than misses. That being said, when the hits hit, it’s really something special; and Shock Induction, Palahniuk’s latest novel, hits hard.

When discussing Leonardo DiCaprio, it’s way easier to focus on his personal life than on his professional work. His tendency to date significantly younger women remains a prominent topic of conversation, despite his apparent reluctance to address it. Still, it continues to pique public curiosity, leaving only theories to explain this pattern.

Now, though, it looks like this could become a bigger issue again since his name has popped up on the long list of people connected to Diddy’s case. The situation involves crimes related to minors, and even though the actor hasn’t publicly dated anyone underage, he might be someone to keep an eye on.

Water For Elephants, the Jessica Stone-directed musical adaptation of the bestselling Sara Gruen romantic novel, will play its final performance at Broadway’s Imperial Theatre on Sunday, December 8, having played 301 regular performances and 25 previews since February.
Though one of the better reviewed musicals of the spring 2024 season, the show didn’t quite attain the must-see status of some other spring arrivals like The Outsiders, Stereophonic, Hell’s Kitchen, The Great Gatsby or Cabaret. Still, the musical, which originally starred Grant Gustin, held its own, sometimes topping $1 million in weekly grosses, or coming close.
The figures have been slipping in recent weeks through, with Gustin ending his limited run to be replaced by Kyle Selig.
The most recent box office figures – for the week ending September 29 – were at the lower end of the Broadway roster, with just 62% of seats filled at the Imperial.

“Megalopolis” is now playing in theaters, and director Francis Ford Coppola is in the Oscar hunt yet again after already winning multiple Academy Awards throughout his esteemed career. Let’s look back at his many Oscar races.
After building his credits as a screenwriter and director in the 1960s, Coppola’s breakthroughs arrived in the early 1970s with “Patton” and “The Godfather.” He wrote the screenplay to the beloved epic drama “Patton,” directed Franklin J. Schaffner and starring George C. Scott, both of whom won Oscars for the film. Coppola also received his first Academy Award for his original screenplay, which he shared with co-writer Edmund H. North. His only threat in the category that year was “Five Easy Pieces,” which got into Best Picture, but with “Patton” dominating in a bunch of categories that year, winning the Screenplay prize was all but inevitable.

Dame Maggie Smith passed away today at the age of 89, after giving the world decades' worth of indelible, beloved performances. A star of stage and screen since the 1950s, the highly decorated actress was best-known to a generation as Hogwarts' stern but heroic Professor McGonagall, while others loved her best as the Dowager Countess of "Downton Abbey."
Smith may have only become a household name to younger generations in the past two decades, but she did much of her best work in the 20th century, winning Oscars for "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie" and "California Suite" in the '60s and '70s and a Tony Award for her role in the satirical play "Lettice and Lovage" in 1990. While her TV, film, and stage work was prolific and wide-ranging, only three Smith movies were ever universally embraced by critics, according to Rotten Tomatoes. One is a James Ivory classic,...

This article contains spoilers for the Sept. 24 episode of “Dancing With the Stars.”
Week 2 of “Dancing With the Stars” was “Oscars Night,” with couples dancing to songs from films including “Barbie,” “A Star is Born,” “La La Land” and “Superman,” while Olympic rugby player Ilona Maher and pro Alan Bersten both lifted each other in a Salsa set to to “(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life” from “Dirty Dancing.”
We also saw not one but two stars going home, including much-protested con artist Anna Delvey — whose casting was even called out by fellow ABC show “The View” — and “Beverly Hills, 90210” star Tori Spelling. The double elimination was announced during last week’s premiere, where no cuts were made. Points from last week were carried over to Tuesday night’s show.

Dancing with the Stars season 33 week 2 scorecard: Who went home on DWTS?
The Dancing with the Stars season 33 premiere on Sept. 17 did not send anyone home. Each duo was introduced and performed their first dance, giving audiences and judges a good idea of where they stand and their chances of improvement. It was quite the event! As Alfonso Ribeiro shared in Week 2, the season 33 premiere was the most-watched in years!
No one was sent home at the end of Week 1, but the scores have been added to this week’s scores to decide who’ll be going home. But it’s not only one duo packing and going home this week, but Two! That’s right, we got a double elimination. Did you cast your vote? They can make all of the difference!
Week 2 was Oscars Night, so all songs are from popular, critically acclaimed movies. How did everyone do this week?...

A lot of classic rock bands got pretty debauched, to the point where “rock star behavior” is sometimes used as a synonym for “hedonism.” The Eagles’ “Hotel California” might be one of the most famous songs about rock star debauchery. Interestingly, it’s part of a long lineage of American works of art on the same topic.
Don Henley said The Eagles had to go wild to make ‘Hotel California’
During a 2016 interview with Rolling Stone, The Eagles’ Don Henley discussed the themes of “Hotel California.” “They’re the same themes that run through all of our work: loss of innocence, the cost of naiveté, the perils of fame, of excess; exploration of the dark underbelly of the American Dream, idealism realized and idealism thwarted, illusion versus reality, the difficulties of balancing loving relationships and work, trying to square the conflicting relationship between business and art; the corruption in politics,...

Baz Luhrmann has proved his pedigree time and again over a 3 decade long career. The Australian director might not have a plethora of movies to his name, but each work of his is a classic in its own stead, be it the Leonardo DiCaprio starrer The Great Gatsby, or Elvis Presley.

Broadway added a couple shows and a 7% bump in receipts last week, with a roster of recent arrivals like McNeal, Yellow Face and The Roommate drawing considerable interest.

Baz Luhrmann has set his new project, “Jehanne d’Arc,” at Warner Bros.
Warners has confirmed that the filmmaker will next take on the epic tale of France’s national heroine and saint Joan of Arc. The teenaged Joan of Arc became a heroine after leading the French army to victory in Orléans in 1429. She was burned at the stake in 1431.
Earlier this year, Luhrmann dropped out of the long-awaited English-language adaptation of Russian novel “The Master and Margarita,” stepping back from the project entirely following concerns over the book rights.
A casting call for the Joan of Arc character will go out Tuesday.
Luhrmann’s directing debut came in 1992 with “Strictly Ballroom,” which began as a short play at the Wharf Theatre in Sydney. The film’s breakout success led to his subsequent string of hits such as “Romeo + Juliet” (1996), “Moulin Rouge!” (2001), “Australia” (2008), “The Great Gatsby” (2013) and most recently “Elvis.

Nearly everyone in the room had spent years praying for these shows, so both nights were full of that magic. “You are about to see the 555th concert by Pulp,” a message flashed on the video screen on Friday.

Leonardo DiCaprio had many actors vying to play one of his love interests in the 2013 feature The Great Gatsby. One of those actors was reportedly Gossip Girl star Blake Lively. Although she may not have walked away with the role, Lively did end up walking away with the film’s star.

Lively found herself competing with some of Hollywood’s best actors to star in the contemporary film adaptation of the classic Great Gatsby. The roster of actors Lively had to contend with reportedly included Mulligan, Keira Knightley, and Michelle Williams. Deadline once reported that Lively had lunch with DiCaprio and the film’s director Baz Luhrmann to presumably discuss her hypothetical role as Daisy Buchanan. However, Mulligan proved herself as the right choice for the part after performing her scene-stealing kiss with DiCaprio during her audition.

Whenever Elizabeth Debicki talks about playing Princess Diana in Netflix’s “The Crown,” she inevitably circles back to something that the series’ creator, Peter Morgan, has said: If she had not been interested in the part, he would have had to write the show differently, with the People’s Princess taking up significantly less screen time. “I’ve heard him say this a few times at panels and things, and I always think, Is that true?” she said. “It’s the complete opposite to me. I think, How did you know that I could do that? How did you trust me so much with such a huge part?”
The spark of royal magnetism that Morgan sensed in Debicki proved perspicacious. Debicki took over the role from Emma Corrin and debuted her interpretation of the princess in Season 5, which dramatizes the breakdown of the royal marriage to Prince Charles in the early 1990s,...

Oh, Mary!, a sleeper hit if ever there was one, and The Outsiders, a musical so popular that more than 200 people bought tickets last week knowing they wouldn’t get an actual seat, are continuing what can only be described as blazing hot summers.
Consider Oh, Mary!, writer/actor Cole Escola’s campy, hysterically funny period play (flawlessly directed by Sam Pinkleton) about an alcoholic, off-the-rails Mary Todd Lincoln (that would be Escola), her doomed, sneaky gay president husband (Conrad Ricamora) and an amorous acting teacher (James Scully). It was a hit last year Off Broadway, but that certainly doesn’t always translate to Broadway success.
But this time, it did. Oh, Mary! has been selling out for weeks, and has been pulling in more than $1 million a week since July 21. Last week (the week ending August 4) Oh, Mary!, a smallish play with a cast of five and a set that,...

As is the case with most below-the-line Oscar categories, bigger equals better when it comes to Best Production Design. The more lavish the sets, the more accurate the period detail, the more extravagant the designs, the more likely your film will win an Academy Award. Formerly known as Best Art Direction/Set Decoration, this prize goes to the production designer and set decorator, leaving the poor art directors on the outside looking in; perhaps that accounts for the title change. (Scroll down for the most up-to-date 2025 Oscar predictions for Best Production Design.)
This prize is often paired with Best Costume Design. Most recently, “Poor Things” pulled off this double play (Zsuzsa Mihalek was the winning production designer). It joined 10 other films this century to claim both prizes. Here’s the breakdown with the production designers names in brackets.

Thanks to films like The Wolf of Wall Street, Titanic, The Great Gatsby and so much more, there is no doubt to the fact that Leonardo DiCaprio is a phenomenal actor. However, there is one actor out there who managed to intimidate him while working on a film together – Daniel Day-Lewis. Daniel Day-Lewis is a force to reckon with and while his ways to nail a role might not sit right with everyone, it sure helps him bring out the best in his characters.

If you want to win an Oscar for Best Costume Design, it’s best to pick a project that has elements of fantasy. Since this category was introduced in 1948, period pieces dominated including in the first decade of this century with the likes of “Gladiator” (Janty Yates), “Marie Antoinette” (Canonero), “Elizabeth: The Golden Age” (Alexandra Bryne), and “The Duchess” (Michael O’Connor) all winning. But just as superhero and fantasy films have dominated the box office this past decade, so too have they proved their might in this category.
Most recently, Holly Waddington took home the Best Costume Design Oscar for her sterling work on Yorgos Lanthimos‘ “Poor Things.” Among other such fare to win as of late were: “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” (Colleen Atwood), “Black Panther” (Ruth E. Wilson also claimed that “The Deb” producers Amanda Ghost and Gregor Cameron and executive producer Vince Holden embezzled funds from the indie feature and tried to “bury” it. When Paramount Pictures was finally absorbed by a conglomerate in 1966, it had been a long-running Hollywood powerhouse that was now contending with a new set of challenges.
Perfectly described by historian Robert Sklar as “the house Adolph Zukor built,” Paramount was one of the first major studios. As its leader, Zukor set in motion both industrial vertical integration along with a carefully constructed machinery for curating and maintaining celebrity image. Though Zukor was no longer chairman of the board by the time Gulf + Western swept in to take over Paramount, the founding mogul’s influence still permeated the studio gates.
At a time when Hollywood was searching for a new identity — founding moguls were gone or largely retired, shattered self-censorship practices were making way for a modern ratings system, studios were being gobbled up by companies outside of the entertainment realm — Paramount managed to prevail in glorious fashion. Who will Anthony Michael Hall play in Reacher Season 3? “Ok, so I don’t want to get in trouble here,” Hall jokes in the video above, shot when when he visited the TV Insider office to promote Trigger Warning. “The character is Zachary Beck,” Hall shares. “And on the surface he’s like a wholesale rug dealer, but this guy’s living like The Great Gatsby or a mobster like no other.” And how dos Reacher get involved with Beck? Says Hall, “Reacher kind of saves his ass in the opening of Season 3, and that leads to them kind of striking up a friendship.” Hall was announced to be joining the series in February, alongside Sonya Cassidy (Lodge 49). Cassidy will play Susan Duffy, a DEA agent from Boston. The third season of Reacher is based on the book Persuader. Hall informs that the title refers to a type of gun.

Warning: spoilers for all six episodes of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder.
When TV audiences first meet 17-year-old Pip Fitz-Amobi (Wednesday‘s Emma Myers), she’s carrying a copy of Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre. Months later, like the titular heroine of that book, Pip discovers a woman kept secretly locked in an attic. Literary allusions are threaded through this modern whodunnit, from village tearoom The Moonstone sharing a name with Wilkie Collins’ classic detective novel, to Pip’s discovery of a hit-and-run plot and an overt reference to a story that hinges on one in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby, to her sharing a name with the protagonist of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations.
Our Pip may not meet an escaped convict on the moors like her book namesake, but like him, she does question the nature of good and evil, and do plenty of soul-searching growing-up throughout her story.

Broadway continued settling in to its post-Tonys summer last week, with box office for most shows slipping at least a bit from the previous week and the total roster trimmed to 30 from 32.
In all, receipts for the 30 productions totaled $34,783,390, down about 7% from the previous week (one of the shows no longer on the roster was the heavy-hitter An Enemy of the People). Attendance for the week ending June 30 was 264,578, down about 6% from the previous week. Even with the small decline, a strong 93% of available seats were filled.
Some notable numbers:
Merrily We Roll Along once again broke the house record at the Hudson Theatre – the ninth time for those keeping count. With its July 7 closing date fast approaching, the revival grossed $2,321,807 for the week; The Outsiders, which won the Tony for Best Musical, set a house record at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre for the second consecutive week, grossing $1,338,556; Hell...

A double-digit slip in the Nielsen ratings notwithstanding, the Tony Awards worked their magic at the box office, with this year’s winners, contenders and show-stealers reporting big increases in attendance and receipts.
Just a few examples: An Enemy of the People, Merrily We Roll Along and Stereophonic posted box office gains in the six figures.
In all, the 32 Broadway shows grossed $37,565,097 for the week ending June 23. That’s a 2% increase over the previous week, a more impressive bump than it seems at first glance: The previous week had 35 shows, including hefty money-makers Ben Platt: Live at the Palace, Uncle Vanya and Mother Play. The absence of those shows last week went a long way in explaining the 4% drop in attendance to 282,752.
Among the numbers:
An Enemy of the People, which starred the Tony-winning Jeremy Strong, broke its own house record at Circle in the Square, taking in $1,545,913 for its final week of performances,...

Do Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan have beef with one another? No, not exactly. According to Deadline, the duo is negotiating to star in Beef Season 2. While Netflix refused to comment about its status with the Emmy darling, it’s an excellent time to remind everyone that Netflix has not officially announced Beef Season 2. Deadline says the roles that Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan would play for Beef Season 2 were originally for Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway, but momentum on them joining the series stalled. Meanwhile, the move to add Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny to the series remains a mystery.
Lee Sung Jin created Beef, which Ali Wong and Steven Yeun led. The show revolves around two people (Wong and Yeun) who let a road rage incident burrow into their minds and slowly consume their thoughts and actions. Their toxic relationship evolves into an all-out war with disastrous consequences.
