Based off of a short play called "Normal Girls." Nick Izzo (the playwright and screenwriter) intended the story to be a comedy and was surprised to find the final cut of the film had been turned into a straight drama using the same dialogue used in his play.
The entire film was shot in two 6-hour nights.
Both leading actresses (Annie Rix and Angela Wascher) were only vaguely familiar with the script on the first night of shooting. While getting into costume, hair & makeup, they quickly memorized their lines and were completely ready once they were called to set. Director Michael P. Noens didn't find this out until photography was completed.
