I LOVED IT
I had such low expectations for this show truth be told, but I became obessed with it after watching it. As a person who've watched Boys Over Flowers and Meteor Garden, I'd have to say that this is the best version adaptation that I've watched so far. Can't wait for the next episodes.

A pretty good start
I was really pissed at the male main character at first, so I was hoping his character development would be good. And it is, although I won't give this series a perfect 10 stars because I prefer the second lead.

F4thailand
I started watching this drama randomly, like I have already watched " boys over flower " and other version . I have always been a fan of (Kim bum x Kim so un) second lead couple story , kavin and kaning , I wish this series may show much more about these two as there were fewer scenes of second lead couple . I have loved watching Kavin and Kaning very much so far and eagerly waiting for much more to come for these two . Gorya and thyme chemistry is beautiful and enchanting , seems so real. So both are my favorite couple .
I hope we will get to see new projects of Prim Chanikarn and Win Metawin.

This show has got me hooked!!
I started watching this show while I was exhausted after not sleeping for 40+ hours but I couldn't stop watching! (I wouldn't have stopped if there weren't only two episodes out for now)
As someone who watched Boys over flowers (Korean version) and fell in love with Meteor garden (Chinese version), I love how they made it darker and more realistic (the usual cringey moments have their charm of course but it can be too much) while still being light and funny at moments! Besides, I think that the actors are gorgeous and charismatic!
(btw I am fully aware that I sound like a crazy fangirl lol)

So so so good
This is the first adaptation where I can see the development of their characters, so I actually want ml to win for the first time. I'm obsessed with them, I wish I found out later tho, I am not patient enough to wait a week every episode😭

Worst acting I have ever seen
I mean, Meteor garden was already a huge improvement from the tacky, cliché and super toxic korean version. In this one the story is better written and all the characters develop quite nicely.
The acting is bad though, again the Chinese cast was way superior in this area.
I also need to know what's going on with the stylists of this drama, I mean what are they wearing? I guess is a low budget production but come on it looks like someone came back from the 80's got drunk and decided their outfits with their eyes closed, looks so cheap and tacky.
Meteor garden is the best version yet although I know my opinion is not a popular one.
I still enjoyed F4 Thailand and I think is worth the watch. Enjoy !

This show is amazing
This is one of the best versions of this show I've ever seen, everything is so planned out and works perfectly.. you can definitely the writers and directors know their source material. It's amazing how they give us hints and how they develop the whole story.

Another entertaining take on a classic manga series
This is the third adaptation of the Japanese manga series Hana Yori Dango by Yoko Kamio I've watched, the first being the South Korean Boys Over Flowers (BOF) followed by the Chinese Meteor Garden 2018 (MG2018). And I can't help comparing the three.
Each adaptation features a spoilt but lovable brat who finds redemption with the help of a girl, his best friends and sister, among other kind souls. In F4 Thailand, the bad boy is Thyme Akira Paramaanantra (Vachirawit Chivaaree Bright), the leader of F4, the most popular group of boys in school, composed of heirs of billionaire families. His character drew me in the most in F4 Thailand, though not as well as the male leads in BOF and MG2018.
Of the three adaptations, I found the girl in F4 Thailand, Gorya Thitara Jundee (Tontawan Tantivejakul Tu), the best looking, so I didn't have to keep wondering how she was able to charm not only the arrogant Thyme but also the aloof Ren Renrawin Aira (Jirawat Sutivanichsak Dew). Unfortunately, I got drawn to her the least. Perhaps because this is the first Thai movie/drama I've watched and I haven't yet gotten used to hearing the language, it seemed to me that she expresses the depth of her feelings more with volume than with emotion. That is, she cranks up the decibels when she tries to emote but there's not much emotion behind the words.
One thing I like about this adaptation is the shorter length, thus, it's not as draggy as the other two. Unnecessary angst is reduced by focusing on the romance between Thyme and Gorya. The love story between Gorya's best friend Kaning Kanittha (Chanikarn Tangkabodee Prim) and one of Thyme's best friends Kavin Taemiyaklin Kittiyangkul (Metawin Opas-iamkajorn Win) is featured minimally.
Overall, the scenarios have been toned down. For example, in BOF, the engagement of the male lead and his rich fiancee is stopped at a much later point that involves a very awkward and unlikely situation where his ex-girlfriend becomes a bridesmaid in his wedding. The way the fiancee is dealt with in F4 Thailand is simpler and more credible.
One thing I'm not a fan of in F4 Thailand is that it does not seem to believe in subtlety. It makes characters voice out situations instead of letting viewers figure things out. For example, when Kavin tries to push Kaning away, she tells him he's trying to be a player to run away from something.
All in all, it is an entertaining watch, but the emotional attachment is not as strong as with BOF and MG2018.

Obnoxious insight ads
The main reason why I put this score is because the enormous and obvious amount of ads inside every episode, sometimes it's so anticlimactic turning a very dramatic moment into a buffonary sketch. The acting is mid the expression of sadness of the main actor is terrible, is more like an angry face combine with a pain on the half right of his face. The narrative is really cute and it have a progressive heat of events, you can see the evolution of behavior on each member of the F4 influenced by the protagonist, an undefeatable villain predictively established by the ambitious millionaire who wants to have the absolute power and control. I saw the Korean version and the Chinese version and this stand in the second place.

Bullying aspect took me out of the romance
I've been an avid fan of this series since the first live action version popped up. I've watched all versions. I know that their romance is toxic but I am a sucker for it. Meteor Garden 2018 is the mildest out of all the versions.
My problem here with this Thai version is that they focused on the toxicity too much. They really portrayed it realistically and intense, I mean I guess that grounds it makes it more relatable? But that it took me out in believing somebody can actually fall for someone THAT violent so quickly since this is a short 16 ep series so a lot of their bonding time are merged... one episode they hurting each other the next they love one another.
In other versions they may start the red tag but they never went out of their way to actually go to some stadium, sit in the middle to spectate, and instigate the rest of the student body because it was an "anonymous outlet" like it's some justification for what they were doing.
The girl is a hypocrite as well, she cries foul how male lead always resort to violence yet she too hits and pushes him when angry all. The. Time.
After the personality change the male lead is seen as really clingy. Since the show modernized it that phones/social media is prevalent here. The male constantly hounds the girl for attention which I guess can be cute if done moderately but they did it like he was some stalker.
Their 'romance' does get better later on and there's some good acting especially with the male lead but yeah I don't see this in my repeat roster.

F4 Thailand is the best show I've ever experienced
I'm not exaggerating - this show is such a treasure. If you're familiar with any of the previous versions, you're in for a ride. The creators are clearly inspired by all previous versions, and what they've done is pull out the best symbolism and themes from all of them to make this incredibly well-paced love journey. All of the young actors are fresh but believable, and this is clearly a passion project for everyone involved. I recommend checking out the review show "F4 Obsessed" on YouTube if you want to magnify your experience. There are references in F4 Thailand to King Arthur's Court, mythology like Psyche and Eros, and an overall theme of celestials falling from the sky - stars beings being knocked out of the heavens by a little girl who is just a simple weed. It's absolutely brilliant storytelling and just very well-made. Ignore the haters. There's too much to love in this one, they're simply overwhelmed and confused.
Best boys Over Flowers version
The Director really did a good job on rewrite the story to fit new social media generation. The pacing of the episode is good. The actings and storytellings, the symbolic meanings, all down to every little details. This is the first version of boys Over Flowers that I am actually in love of the main lead instead of the second lead. There are many surprises of the reactions from the main couple, very cute and funny. It will definitely make you laugh 😂 .

Good show, loved it
Unlike other versions f4 Thailand gives u clear detail and explanation. So mny things to exolore. Loved that. Casting is good and liked Lead actor eye expressions. Well done.
Absolutely LOVE IT
This show is so well done! The acting by all of the actors is amazing! You wouldn't even know that Dew and Nami are new to acting, they do such a great job. Bright is freaking awesom. His expressions are adorable when he is in puppy dog mode and yet you can see the beast within in the beginning of the show. Tu is the personification of girl power! All of the supporting cast are absolutely delightful. The symbolism in this show is top tier! Evertything and I mean everything has meaning, clothes, colors, everything. I love how social media has been incorporated into the storyline. The OSTs are so sweet! I am legit screaming at my screen every episode! The cliffhangers have me wringing my hands lol! I am counting down the days until the next eposide and I will definitely be rewatching it a few times. I would definitely recommend it! Give it a try and you will see how incredibl this show is.
The editing is terrible
While this show has good artistic vibes, the editing for some scenes are terrible. They really use boomerang-ig-filter type of editing for fighting scene. And also I feel like the story's pace is too quick so some parts can be confusing. Moreover, the side couple (kavin/kaning) has only made little progress; and even when they appear on screen, all they talk about is the main couple. Like I'm sorry I can't relate to that, I'm not THAT invested in my best friend's love life. That's why the characters feel so 2D to me.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! THE BEST BOF VERSION SO FAR!!!!
Don't look at hate comments or base your thoughts on previous versions and if F4 Thailand will be able to make a good version. Go for it. I have watched the Chinese, Japanese, and Korean versions and I was hesitant too, but till now, we've reached Episode 10 and there's not a single scene or a single second where I have been disappointed at anything. It's hilarious, it's romantic, it's emotional and it has SO MUCH SYMBOLISM that it's such a joy to watch and figure out the foreshadowing. I have been HOOKED since episode 1!!! This series is simply amazing there are no other words to describe it. The directing, the cast, the plot, the storyline, and the depth of each and every character are all so thought out and beautiful. You will NOT be disappointed by them at ALL. The effort put into this version as compared to the previous versions is simply unbelievable. Every character has been given depth and has a role in the story. You will see equal screen time for the secondary characters and the character development of all of them is so satisfying to watch <333 You will simply fall in love with the ML in this version, who's childish, immature but we get to know right after episode 1 that he has a pure heart. The FL is strong and selfless and such a good character to watch as she goes through her struggles and overcomes them. She has a no-bullsh!t attitude and we LOVE THAT!!!!

Best remake!
As someone who have read the manga and watched at least three versions before this (Meteor Garden, Hana Yori Dango and Meteor Garden 2018). I can confidently say that this is the best version (even better than the original manga itself). I can't even believe how they managed to filter out a lot of problematic scene from the original story and how they incorporated current problems the young generation are facing today (Cyberbullying, misunderstandings, family conflict). The whole plotline of HYD is problematic already, but thanks to this remake, it feels like watching a whole new story where you can't predict what's about to happen next.

Mind-blowing
I have watched the other versions of F4 Thailand and I can say that F4 Thailand is the best show ever. I used to not like the main male lead in other versions but I love the main male lead here. I wish people who loves to watch asian dramas will watch it in the future and I can tell for sure that they will love it. The actors are so good looking. The acting and storyline are mind-blowing.

Best Version So Far
I've struggled with getting through all other versions of HYD. This is the only one I've been able to get through and moreover, I really love it. The main leads have great chemistry, there's depth to the main leads and side characters, and the show is visually beautiful as well. Huge props to F4 Thailand team!
