The film was unable to release due to legal matter with the producer's of the Hollywood movie "My Cousin Vinnie". Ravi Chopra was given permission from the makers to make a film with the same story line/ idea as the original. Ravi Chopra ended up making a scene by scene copy of the original. The Hollywood producer flew in rage at this and put a legal stop to the film's release.
Bipasha Basu turned down the film.
The film was titled "Pappu Pass Ho Gaya".
