Enjoyed the series BUT so frustrated by the ending.... it just stops! So many questions!!! ... and now it's canceled. So many loose ends! Why let a show do that much work but not let it tie everything up??
Initial premise OK. Rose Rollins as the star good choice, one of those Hollywood B-listers who looks like she can do more. All downhill from there. Probably the budget was the big constraint, but the secondary casting choices are weak, the scripting is weak, and the flashbacks/flashforwards must have looked great on paper but do not work well on the screen.

Blew through the first few episodes in one sitting. Been awhile since there was a great series with a strong female driven cast... especially in tackling such sensitive subject matter in the post "me too" era. The lead Rose Rollins is unapologetically flawed and conflicted which gives the show a realistic edge as opposed to coming off like a PSA. And though this takes place in the world of women's athletics it really is secondary to the struggles the characters are facing as they navigate an increasingly devolving situation and we along with everyone else try to figure out who will be left standing at the end.
The end is very bad,and no season 2..sucks,nobody cares abt the audience and all ppl that wait for next season or wanna to see a decent finale...shame on you ppl,why the heck u make serials if u cannot have a decent end or other season?is this normal?

Excellent series. Even though we know who was dead early on, the way it all unfolds holds your interest. I liked the back and forth of the time frames, before and after the killing. How it all happened and what caused it is the story. It's the well used story of greed, corruption and ruined reputations with the backdrop of women's basketball. It could have been told in less than 12 episodes, because I think they belabored the point. But, American series have yet to learn from the foreign series how to be succinct. I would imagine the BBC could have done this in 6-9.
I liked the fact this was set with the story of a women's college basketball team, but the scenes of them actually playing were really bad. That usually is the case in sports movies, but these scenes were particularly bad. Just a bunch of shots of shoes, hands and every now and then a basketball either missing the rim or falling through. It's a shame because it could have been so much better.
The young cast were all very good.
Gave it an 8 for badly staged game scenes.

Absolute trash, writing is laughably bad, acting reflects, the lead is an insipid bore with absolutely no acting talent, I look forward to dancing on the grave of its cancellation.
The cast is wonderful, the music is amazing, and the show keeps you guessing. I am not usually a fan of "sports" shows, but this one peaked my interest from the trailer on Spectrum's app, and I got hooked. There are not many "lull's" like other shows, and you can easily stay engaged. I do agree with the other review, the game shots and footage could have been better, but these were actors and not pro-players. This season/series ended on a good cliff-hanger note too.
This series is really intriguing I love it , can't wait for season two. I hope there will be season 2, we have to know what happens to JC after all the secretary's are being discovered.

My husband and I watched this and loved it! Didn't expect that ending at all even though we new who died early on. More people need to be able to see this! The lead actress, Rose Rolands, was sooo good! She played such a strong yet vulnerable character. I truly hope there is a second season!
