Prince Harry admitted that for years, he couldn’t deal with the death of his mother, Princess Diana. It wasn’t until he was in his 20s that Harry began to process the tragedy. Until that point, he claims he handled his grief by “sticking his head in the sand.”
Prince Harry tried not to think about his grief throughout most of his young life
In 2017, Prince Harry gave an in-depth interview to Bryony Gordon for the first episode of her podcast, Mad World reported The Telegraph. Harry claimed to have “shut down all his emotions” until he was in his 20s about Princess Diana’s death, which occurred when he was 12. It wasn’t until Harry was around the age of 28 that he began fully processing his grief.
“I can safely say that losing my mum at the age of 12, and therefore shutting down all of my emotions for the last 20 years,...

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s 2018 wedding was watched by millions around the world – even Ariana Grande made a joke about it at the time. It was an exciting moment for so many, who viewed them as Grace Kelly and Prince of Monaco for the new age.
However, they came with a lot of baggage and whining that simply turned people off their brand. An American royal commentator is now explaining how they lost their charm.

When Harry and Meghan left the Royal Family in 2020, they looked ready and set to claim their place as Hollywood’s royalty, no pun intended.
But a couple of projects in, and it seems the couple have lost their way. Archewell has now been merged into Sussex.com.
Their Spotify podcast “Archetypes” was prematurely cut. And there’s very little hope that their Netflix deal will be renewed when it expires next year.
Nevertheless, the couple keep moving on, with Meghan launching her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard and signing a deal to produce new podcasts for the platform Lemonada.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle – Advised To Reel It In To Keep Their Brand Alive
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle started this year by announcing a slew of happy news. One of them involved producing a second-chance romance story for Netflix.
Last month, Meghan launched her lifestyle company American Riviera Orchard.

MipDoc keynote speaker Dawn Porter is coming to Cannes to discuss not only the challenging doc marketplace, but also how to work and prosper within it.
In the last few years the doc industry has favored a handful of big-name filmmakers, like Porter, who are commissioned to make one-off films or docuseries. Over the last 12 months two of Porter’s docus were released: “Deadlocked: How America Shaped the Supreme Court” which was financed and distributed by Showtime and “The Lady Bird Diaries,” which was financed and distributed by Hulu/ABC News.
But budgets for commissioned projects, even those with well-known documentarians attached, have diminished significantly since the pandemic, due in part to corporate consolidation. The shrinking number of nonfiction distributors has hit directors of independently made docs especially hard. The major streaming services, who were spending millions to acquire indie fare five years ago, lost interest in garnering titles out of festivals.

Showtime’s four-part docuseries on the Supreme Court, Deadlocked: How America Shaped the Supreme Court, will premiere its first episode on September 22, amid a period of intense concern over the impact and integrity of the high court.
From director Dawn Porter, the project delves into the modern era of the court, going back to the Earl Warren court of the 1950s and 1960s, when the justices established a series of landmark progressive precedents, to today, with the conservative majority upending abortion rights and affirmative action. With it has come increasing distrust of the court itself, as well as the internal intrigue given the unprecedented leak last year of the Dobbs abortion decision.
“I wanted to give people an understanding of how the court works,” Porter told Deadline. “…You don’t pay attention until something you love is gone, until a right you cherish has been overturned. So I felt like...

One year after stepping back from their roles within the royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sat down for a bombshell primetime special with former talk show host Oprah Winfrey.
Lady O also attended the Sussexes’ royal wedding in 2018, worked with Harry on his Apple TV project The Me You Can’t See, and today they reside in the same Montecito neighborhood which has led many to believe that they are pretty close. Meghan has even referred to the journalist in the past as a “friend” and “confidant.” So questions were raised when the duke and duchess weren’t on guestlist for Oprah’s recent bash.

The multi-year agreement between Oprah Winfrey and Apple TV+ has come to an end, though both sides are expected to continue working together on a “project-by-project” basis, according to Variety. Winfrey originally signed the deal with the streamer in 2018, which would see her create programming for Apple’s original content line-up. Some of these projects include The Oprah Conversation, which aired for one season in 2020, the docuseries The Me You Can’t See, and the recently released documentary Sidney, about the life of the late Oscar-winning actor Sidney Poitier. However, Winfrey has a jam-packed schedule, with projects across multiple networks and platforms. She co-owns the cable channel OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network with Warner Bros. Discovery, where she has helped develop hit shows, such as Ava DuVernay’s Queen Sugar and Tyler Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots. Discovery increased its stake in OWN to 95 in 2020, while Winfrey...

Oprah Winfrey and Apple are winding down their content deal.
Winfrey and the streamer struck a “multi-year content partnership” in January 2018, but sources have confirmed that their deal is ending.
The news comes two days after the premiere of Sidney, the Winfrey-exec produced documentary about Sidney Poitier, on the service.
Although Winfrey and the tech giant are winding down their official partnership – not renewing the deal – sources suggest that they will continue to work together on a project-by-project basis.
While Winfrey made The Oprah Conversations and mental health special The Me You Can’t See for Apple TV+, as well as Oprah’s Book Club, which is available via Apple Books, it’s clear that the deal didn’t produce a huge swathe of content.

The OWN Spotlight series “Black Women OWN the Conversation” is taking on the topic of mental health with its first episode of the new season — and for the deep, emotional conversation, the show enlisted a special guest.
For the first time, Oprah Winfrey joins the conversation, appearing on the show virtually alongside hosts Adrienne Bankert and Jotaka Eaddy and panelists Dr. Nadine Burke-Harris, Dr. Dena Simmons and Kym Whitley.
The episode was already set to be momentous, since it marked showrunner and exec producer Jennifer Ryan and her team’s first live audience taping since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, but Winfrey’s virtual appearance was an extra source of excitement.
“She’s the Ow of OWN, and we’re very honored to have done this show and had her on it,” Ryan tells Variety, sitting on the show’s pink-hued set at the end of the episode’s taping.

In his personal life, Prince Harry has emerged only recently from a period of great pain. In his professional life, as evidenced by his new Apple TV Plus series “The Me You Can’t See,” the tricky part is just beginning.
Oprah Winfrey’s interview, earlier this year, with the former working royal and his wife Meghan put utterly modern confessionalism to work to explode the image Buckingham Palace had cultivated over centuries. The pair’s revelations about their alienation from what they described as a restrictive, unfeeling and openly racist “firm” raised painful and pointed questions about what lay ahead for a family so bound up by tradition that it broke members apart. For all the chaos and noise of that moment, though, it was possible to wonder, too, what the future held for a couple that had now told a story with a beginning (their coupling), a middle (their near-undoing), and an end.

Oprah Winfrey and Prince Harry have once again teamed up, this time co-creating and executive producing a new docuseries for Apple TV+ called “The Me You Can’t See.” In the first trailer for the series, we get a look at some of the big names who will be joining the pair in sharing their mental health journeys.
“All over the world, people are in some kind of mental, psychological, emotional pain,” Oprah says to Prince Harry in the trailer, released Monday morning. The two then discuss common words they’ve heard associated with the concept of “mental health,” including “crazy,” “lost it” and “can’t keep it together.” And it’s precisely because of those words that they’ve created the docuseries.
“I don’t tell this story for my own self service. I’ve been through it and people need help,” Lady Gaga says at one point in the clip.
