Taylor Lautner is known to many fans as the wolf boy Jacob Black from the Twilight Saga. It was a breakout role for Lautner into more mature films in Hollywood, despite the franchise garnering more critics than fans in later years. However, before his time as a werewolf, Lautner was Sharkboy in the superhero movie, The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D.

However, many loved the film as kids and it went on to gain a cult following. But looking back, fans could see why critics weren’t happy with the film.

Hollywood actor Taylor Lautner, who is known for his work in ‘Twilight’, has confirmed it was Taylor Swift who called off their relationship.

We all know that Adam Sandler likes working with people he knows. The movies he produces with his production company Happy Madison regularly feature Kevin Nealon, Rob Schneider, and other cast members from his Saturday Night Live days. Many of his movies also feature supporting turns from guys you only see in Happy Madison flicks, like Alan Covert and Peter Dante. And, of course, he loves to cast Jennifer Aniston and Drew Barrymore as his love interests.
So it’s no surprise that Sandler’s latest Netflix movie You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzah sees him once again paired with Idina Menzel, who played his wife in Uncut Gems. Los Angeles, May 20 (Ians) Actor Taylor Lautner found fame when he took on the role of Jacob in ‘Twilight’ film franchise and reflected that, while he was always “incredibly thankful” for the opportunities, he often found himself wishing that he could have some “normalcy” in his teenage years.
“Now, I only have fond memories. But I do think that also needed the space because – I was always incredibly thankful, and feel super blessed for what it brought me. But maybe there was a little bit of like resentment deep in there going like, ‘I wish I could have just experienced this part of normalcy,” he said on the ‘The Happy Hour’ radio show, reports aceshowbiz.com.
However, the ‘Home Team’ star did go on to acknowledge that he “wouldn’t change” his early success but needed to have the “growth” to be able to appreciate it.
He added: “Now, I wouldn’t change it.

“Hit it, quit it, live it, spit it….get nasty,” Paul Cauthen croons in his new song “Hometeam.” Like the tracks on his 2022 album Country Coming Down, the song leans hard into funk sounds and swaggering attitude.
In fact, it’s so over-the-top that it’s easy to wonder if Cauthen is trolling you. Listen to the affectation, bordering on the ridiculous, that he puts on the line, “With your hair blown out and your nails just did, uh!” Trolling or not, it’s a blast to hear.

For many teens coming of age in the late 2000s, the Twilight franchise was their most formative film experience. The five-part film saga made superstars out of performers like Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner. The latter played Jacob Black, a shapeshifter who has an intense affection for Bella Swan. Lautner quickly became a sex symbol, and one of the most vibrant performers of the late 2000s. While Lautner might have seemed at ease in front of the cameras, in truth, he recently revealed was experiencing intense body dysmorphia.

Dave Chappelle won best comedy album at the 2023 Grammys for his most recent special The Closer, which received backlash over material focused on the transgender community.
The comedian took the honor Sunday over Louis C.K. (Sorry), Jim Gaffigan (Comedy Monster), Randy Rainbow (A Little Brains, A Little Talent) and Patton Oswalt (We All Scream). The award serves as Chappelle’s fourth Grammy and follows C.K.’s controversial win last year for Sincerely Louis Ck, his first comedy album since his sexual misconduct revelations.
Chappelle was not in attendance during the Grammys Premiere Ceremony, where the comedy album prize and many of the other Grammy awards this year were presented, so presenter Babyface accepted the award on his behalf.
After Chappelle and C.K. were nominated for the 2023 Grammys, Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason jr. told The Hollywood Reporter in part, “We don’t control who the voters vote for.

"Are you team Edward or team Jacob?" If part of your middle school and high school years revolved around asking your friends this controversial question, you're probably familar with the film origins of Taylor Lautner, who split the "Twilight" fandom in two when he made his debut as teenage werewolf Jacob Black in 2008. In the nearly 14 years since the film first premiered, Lautner has remained a cultural icon for his performance as the shapeshifting teen. While longtime Twihards still reminisce about Jella fan fiction and Lautner's lengthy hair (it was a wig the whole time), the film franchise took a mental and emotional toll on the star that pushed him to step back from Hollywood.
"It was a learning curve for all of us as a family."

Ozark, whose fourth season just debuted its first batch of episodes on Netflix, recorded the fourth-highest weekly tally ever to repeat atop Nielsen’s weekly streaming rankings.
During the week of January 24 to 30, the crime thriller series collected almost 4.1 billion minutes of streaming across its 37 episodes. That tally trails only Tiger King, which erupted with debut weeks of 5.3 billion and 4.4 billion minutes in March 2020. Ozark, during that same early-Covid timeframe when overall streaming was exploding due to pandemic lockdowns, racked up 5.2 billion minutes.
Nielsen said about 60% of Ozark viewers were between the ages of 35 and 64, with the remaining 40% evenly split between 18-34 and 65 and older. The premiere of the second part of Ozark’s fourth season has been set for April 29.
Disney had a strong week, with Encanto‘s remarkable hold continuing and marquee Star Wars spinoff The Book of Boba Fett rising to the No. 4 spot.

Directed by Felicity Morris and produced by Raw and AGC Studios, The Tinder Swindler follows a group who team together to take revenge after being the victims of an online dating con. The film only released on February 2 so the numbers represent only five days of viewing.

Upwards of 85 new films will launch (or have already arrived) on Netflix this year. A few movies made their grand debuts in January, and quite a few more are set to launch at the beginning of this month, but the streaming service is touting its 2022 slate with new movies every week and a robust lineup of actors and filmmakers.
Standout tiles include Shawn Levy’s time-traveling tale, “The Adam Project,” with a cast led by Ryan Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner and Zoe Saldaña, as well as a new adaptation of Jane Austen’s “Persuasion,” starring Dakota Johnson and Henry Golding. Regina King will embody trailblazing politician Shirley Chisholm in a biopic titled “Shirley.” Stop-motion and horror maestros Henry Selick and Jordan Peele are teaming up for the animated pic “Wendell & Wild.” “The Gray Man” stars both Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans in a CIA/spy/global manhunt film alongside Ana de Armas.

Juicy, soapy Korean series have been a staple on Netflix for years, but following the “Squid Game” phenomena, audiences around the world can’t get enough of not only the typical K-drama fare but also Korean thrillers and reality series.
Korean zombie thriller “All of Us Are Dead,” which features a familiar “Squid Game” face (Lee Yoo-Mi) made its debut on the streamer’s non-English language TV Top 10 list for the week of Jan. 24 through 30, coming in at No. 1 with 124.79 million hours viewed. This marks the most hours viewed in the premiere week for any Korean title since Netflix began releasing its Top 10 data last year.
“Squid Game” remains legions above all other titles on Netflix’s Top 10 most popular non-English TV list of all time (based on hours viewed in the show’s first 28 days on the streaming platform), with a mammoth watch count of 1,650,450,000 hours. However, for the first time in months,...

VOD charts both verged and varied this week, as a record low 14 titles accounted for all 30 slots on the three top tens. Among those titles, however, a record high seven placed on three different VOD lists, though each of them — iTunes, Google Play, and Vudu — disagreed on which film was really #1.
“Dune” (Warner Bros./$5.99), “The Matrix Resurrections” (Warner Bros./$24.99), and “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” each shared the top spot among iTunes and Google Play (which rate by transactions) and Vudu (which calculates money spent to buy or rent). Both “Dune” and “The Matrix Resurrections” previously streamed on HBO Max day-and-date, per Warner Bros.’ deal, but this strong showing on the VOD charts points to an intriguing post-hbo Max future for both titles.
Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune” just dropped its price to $5.99. It has placed on the charts since it went to PVOD two weeks after it left HBO Max, but had so far never reached #1. Now,...

For a few minutes at the very outset, “Home Team” threatens to be more interesting than it looks. Announcing itself in the opening credits as based on a true story, Charles and Daniel Kinnane’s film opens on the New Orleans Saints’ victory in the 2010 Super Bowl — an unlikely triumph for coach Sean Payton that was tainted two years later by his suspension over the Bountygate scandal, which saw the Saints accused of paying out bonuses to injure rival players. It’s a morally murky context in which to introduce the protagonist of a family-friendly sports comedy, and you may initially be intrigued to see how “Home Team” resolves it — until it becomes quite clear that the answer is by ignoring it almost entirely. Instead, Payton’s fall from grace is merely the pretext for a shameless riff on the “Bad News Bears” formula, in which the coach returns home...

Netflix is ringing in the new year in atypical fashion. Throughout 2021, the streaming giant’s original offerings swelled while its library titles shrunk. With its list of new releases for January 2022, however, Netflix is expanding its non-original market quite a bit.
Jan. 1 sees the arrival of a truly stunning amount of impressive non-Netflix movies and TV shows. The big titles available on the first of the month include: 300, Interview with the Vampire, Paranormal Activity, Superman Returns, Terminator 2, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and much more. Later on in the month, Netflix is also set to add Phantom Thread (Jan. 16) to its roster.

"You in football country now!" Netflix has revealed the official trailer for Home Team, the next comedy produced by Sandler's Happy Madison for Netflix. So, uh, get ready for this... The story about New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton coaching his son's 6th grade football team, when Payton was suspended for the entire 2012 season as a result of his role in the Saints' Bountygate scandal. So this is pretty much the plot of The Mighty Ducks, but with a youth football team. And a real coach. The cast features Kevin James as Coach Payton, plus Taylor Lautner, Rob Schneider, Jackie Sandler, Gary Valentine, Tait Blum, Maxwell Simkins, Jacob Perez, Bryant Tardy, Manny Magnus, Liam Kyle, Christopher Farrar, Merek Mastrov, and Isaiah Mustafa. Yeah this looks as cheesy and bland as you're probably expecting. Here's the trailer (+ poster) for Charles Francis Kinnane & Daniel Kinnane's Home Team, from YouTube:...

“Black Panther” and “Mangrove” actress Letitia Wright ignited an anti-vax controversy last December after sharing a video that questioned Covid-19 vaccines. Wright was labeled anti-vax across social media after sharing on Twitter a 69-minute YouTube video featuring Light London Church leader Tomi Arayomi. The actress included the prayer hands emoji as a caption. The video found Arayomi questioning the legitimacy of the Covid-19 vaccine. Wright initially responded to the backlash by posting: “If you don’t conform to popular opinions. but ask questions and think for yourself….you get cancelled.”

“Home Team,” a Netflix film that stars Kevin James as New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton, has announced its full cast, including new additions Taylor Lautner and Rob Schneider.
Payton revealed that Netflix was making a movie about his life last month, and the film centers on Payton in 2012 when the coach was suspended by NFL commissioner Roger Goddell for the entire 2012 season related to the team’s role in the “Bountygate” scandal, in which the team was accused of paying out bounties or bonuses to players who successfully injured opposing team players. The film shows how Payton began to reassess his life and took a job as the offensive coach for his son Connor’s sixth-grade football team in the Dallas area.
