An absolutely thrilling audio drama! After listening to the likes of The Magnus Archives and Welcome to Nightvale (which if you enjoyed this series you should totally check out) I was looking for another horror podcast and was recommended this one. Needless to say I adored it! The combination of in universe storytelling and live action that we hear is brilliant and left me quite spooked in more than one instance. I was also thrilled to learn that this is part of a bigger universe of stories, the Pleasant Green Universe. I wont spoil anything of course but looking at the web of interconnected stories, all of which can stand perfectly well on their own legs but that come together to enhance each other is such a delight! I can't wait to see whats next!

I've listened to a lot of radio drama over the years and this is the best by far.
It really got its Lovecraftian hooks (or should I say tentacles) in to me.
It was genuinely chilling and scary and I'm a difficult one to scare these days.
When I first started listening I thought it was a real true crime podcast and was absolutely terrified.
When I realised it was a drama and calmed down a bit it was still really effecting.
Something about lying in the dark, on your own, with this in your ears really does the trick 😁
Do yourself a favour and go to BBC Sounds and have a listen, you won't regret it.... Or maybe you will...

I listened to this "podcast" out of order because I didn't realise that there was a first series and thought they were stand alone stories so I started with Series 2, then 3, realised I should go back to 1 to get the background and am about to start Series 4. I've been listening non-stop on every car journey I do. It is utterly brilliant.
If you like other worldly phenomena like UFOs, witches and evil reincarnations then this is the Series for you. There are a lot of characters spread throughout the first 3 series (and I assume No.4 once I get to it) so sometimes it's a bit hard to keep track of who is who. Some of the history in the drama involves real people like John Dee, Aleister Crowley - so are the stories based on fact or is it all pure imagination? It makes you want to do some internet sleuthing yourself. And the cliff hangers! You've just GOT to listen to the next episode immediately.
Someone has got to make this into a TV series.
