On May 9, 2022, the City of Giarre affixed a memorial plaque dedicated to these two victims, Georgio & Antonio at the entrance of the "Domenico Cucinotta" municipal library on a lava stone plaque with the following epigraph: " In memory of Giorgio Agatino Giammona and Toni Galatola, together barbarously killed on October 17, 1980, together found embraced the following October 31, Giarre tutta, mindful of that love that did not dare to pronounce his name "
