The Kardashians is a mind-numbing reality television series that shamelessly chronicles the vapid lives of the Kardashian-Jenner family. Brace yourself for an onslaught of self-indulgence and superficiality, as these "celebrities" spare no expense in flaunting their opulent lifestyles while offering little substance or intellectual stimulation.
Visually, The Kardashians excels at creating an illusion of glamour and sophistication. The glossy cinematography and slick editing techniques aim to captivate viewers with a polished facade. It's a calculated effort to make their extravagant lifestyles appear desirable and aspirational, masking the shallowness that lies beneath. However, these production values ultimately serve as a smokescreen, deflecting attention from the lack of substance and genuine human connection in the show.
One cannot ignore the potential impact of The Kardashians on its viewers. The show's relentless portrayal of wealth, luxury, and material possessions can have both positive and negative effects. On one hand, it offers an escapist fantasy, allowing viewers to momentarily immerse themselves in a world of opulence and indulgence. However, this constant exposure to a superficial and materialistic lifestyle can distort perceptions of reality, leading to unrealistic expectations and feelings of inadequacy among viewers.
Furthermore, The Kardashians' focus on self-promotion and self-absorption can perpetuate a culture of narcissism and shallow values. By showcasing the relentless pursuit of fame and the prioritization of personal image over substantive contributions, the show inadvertently encourages viewers to prioritize their own self-image and seek validation through external measures of success. This emphasis on self-absorption can hinder the development of empathy and genuine connections with others, reinforcing a superficial understanding of relationships and personal fulfillment.
Culturally, The Kardashians has had a significant impact on our perception of celebrity culture. The show has helped shape a landscape where fame and wealth are valued above talent or meaningful contributions. It has blurred the lines between entertainment and reality, creating a new standard for what constitutes fame and success in the modern era. The Kardashian-Jenner family's ability to turn their personal lives into a multi-billion dollar empire has reshaped the entertainment industry and influenced the way we understand and consume celebrity culture.
Additionally, The Kardashians have played a role in redefining beauty standards. With their emphasis on flawless appearances, augmented bodies, and meticulously curated images, they have perpetuated a narrow and unrealistic ideal of beauty. This has had implications for body image and self-esteem, particularly among impressionable viewers who may feel pressured to conform to these unattainable standards.
In conclusion, The Kardashians is a cringe-inducing spectacle that not only entertains but also shapes our perceptions of wealth, fame, beauty, and success. While its visually appealing production values may momentarily captivate viewers, it's important to critically examine the impact of the show on our society. From fostering unrealistic expectations to perpetuating self-absorption and shallow values, The Kardashians plays a significant role in shaping our cultural landscape and warrants careful consideration in the realm of media analysis.

A lot of their loyal haters are leaving bad reviews just because they don't like them. I truly enjoy watching the Kardashians but I am not enjoying this new show. It just seems much more flashy and honestly a lot more boring. Kourtney brings nothing to the show besides her incredibly cringey make out scenes. It just seems to focus more on their careers and their expensive cars, houses, and items than it did in their previous show. There was much fun and light hearted interactions. I don't recall the last series always zooming in on their car logos and shoes. When they speak to the camera and break the "4th wall" it just seems unnatural and awkward when the intention was the opposite. That being said, I do enjoy watching Kim's journey navigating her divorce and pursuing her legal passion.

This series is ok but I think the previous series was more engaging and genuine. They seem to be filming to try to stay relevant. This series doesn't show the grandkids too often. They were the highlight to me. Their antics and adventures made it interesting. Maybe their fathers are prohibiting it. You don't see Rob or Scott much. Cait/Bruce always kept everything in check but I'm sure Kris wouldn't stand for her to be on the show. Kourtney and Travis need to take it down a notch. I'm happy for her that she she found someone but we don't want to see all that PDA. Khloe has been through so much. Someone please help her find a great guy. She deserves it. Have to add that Kourtney is really annoying in latest season. Get over yourself and be proud of Kim for the DG show. If that's all you have to worry about is if she used some looks you curated then you need a reality check.
Becoming this 100% fake, hollow disloyal lavish-living perfect lazy parasites of Societies; while giving a lesbian-wannabe posing, with tight dresses to probably be as sexy as possible, as that's the only thing they value. Ironically they think they're awesome for some reason, but all they care about is making money, while deforming their bodies in whatever shape they think is sexy, according to themselves and the BS the Doctors must tell them to sell them silicone, surgeries, implants and who knows what else. I pity the kids that these women are going to have: growing in a 100% delusional unsustainable useless aimless existence; their moms being materialistic, cold, shallow, disloyal, dishonest airheads nobody respects really; these kids grow with inferiority complexes and borderline suicidal personalities, 'coz their value scale if off of any realistic existence or respectable purpose in life.
The new show is really really boring. They used to share their lives and let us peek in their homes and relationships. The new formula of the show does not work. They are just promoting their brands, which is not interesting at all, we can see that on the socials. Further they have some scripted talks on the sofa or bed. We don't get to see the inside of their homes anymore. We hardly get to see their children. Kourtney should just stop filming, she is only whining and is in Travisland. They could have shown us the Kim/Kanye drama or Kylie/Travis break up. Or how Khloe and Tristan or Kourtney and Scott are communicating. And where is Corey? Or MJ? And a scripted Kendall and Kylie horseback riding? Exciting... not! I understand that the new show is different from the first, but it is just really boring. They get paid millions and give us nothing. I used to love the show and now I'm thinking about skipping it.
First season started off good but then got more boring. Sat through season 2 to keep up with the gossip but this season was terrible. Three episodes were just Kim trying on a dress, which was not needed and just made me want to tune it off. Feel they post enough about fashion, on there social media and this needed to be more personal not sure I'll watch another season. Kendal was the most exciting out of them all to watch.
I'm just writing this to make up the word count now there's not 600 words to say about it. Basically if you want to pass time watch it but it's really not worth anything else. First season definitely better (to start with)

Why is there another show about the weirdest family in the world? I don't think anybody cares about what they're doing. They're some reality shows that I like. The Kardashian clan ain't one of them.

The verbal diatribe spewing from these tragic people is enough. Apparently uneducated, uncultured zombies, telling you their boring, trite moment by moment borefest is enough. Madonna texted her on her birthday; that explains Madonna's vague persona: all these people cut from the same cloth.

As a previous reviewer has mentioned what is with the unhealthy vile obsession with the Kardashians. These people are incredibly successful, super rich, they are better parents than many I have seen in real life, they work out, they eat well, they have faith, they pra.,they are a close happy family. It can't be easy being so famous and they make it 'real' ten out of ten from me - love it! Escapism yes but these are REAL NICE people! Shows how much there is wrong with the 'normal public' that all they can do is hate on them and criticise. Sad. I watch every episode with utter pleasure! Well done Kardashians = sorry so many in this fractured world can't handle that you are billionaires, happy, successful, family and faith and value oriented and good looking!

The first episode wasn't bad, it was cute seeing them all and catching up with them. I felt it was boring and uninteresting, but the other review left on this is superrr weird.
The amount of hatred some of you have toward this family is extremely unhealthy and borderline insane. You do not have to watch this show or interact with them online in anyway, but it's clear some of you go out of your way to do so....
Anyways, it's a cute show following their lives and it is kinda nice to see things behind the scenes of the crazy scandals and headlines about them. I just feel they've been doing this for so long. It doesn't really feel natural, and it never really did - KUWTK was very scripted at some points and it's clear they create a "storyline" in a sense for the shows, so is it really "reality" ?? Maybe that's why I can't fully get into it.

This fake, mini scripted and pretentious family is disgusting! I can't stomach their narrative anymore!
I'd rather invest my time in bettering myself with a book, real conversation, take a cooking class... like Kim said, "Get off your butt and go to work". I'll get off Hulu, as well!

I always kinda liked this show. It's dumb, light, yet entertaining. Well, it doesn't take much to please me. If it's in color and stress-free, I'm there.
How low does reality tv need to go before it gets completely hijacked by this corporate family. Everything is staged for effect or to sell their products. Has the worlds IQ levels become so low that this aweful plastic family can become so rich & famous with almost zero talent between them.

This show was literally about nothing... and watching Travis and kourtney make out in every episode was so uncomfortable! Can't stand them...and of course Kim as usual wanted to be centre of attention.. they're getting old and show is too boring to watch.. especially compared to their old kuwtk. This show is heavily scripted too!! Hope this does not get renewed!!!
Will you just go away already? Why? Why? Why "reality" shows? I can't believe they have actual investors for this fake reality. Who watches this? Who's the target audience? Even if they were attractive I still don't see the point in watching them live their lives? Don't you have your own life to live? I mean if you really like to wish you lived someone else's life. Just play Sim City! It would be more realistic in my opinion. This is just my opinion. All of this. So if you don't agree, that's fine. But I should at least be able to voice my opinion like everyone else does.
I'm not a "Reality" fan as you can tell.

Do they have more shoes that could to pay off the National Debt, that's just one of them.
Really so much space, crockery, glasses, food packed fridge for one OAP unbelievable.
Infusion treatment on a healthy woman, amazing what people will do to stars if you pay them enough.
A window into contrived scripted arguments & melodrama, no future viewing necessary. Absolutely no self awareness.

Can we please for the love of GOD get rid of this family ? When is it enough ? Just when you think all the bs is done after their old show ended they get a new show ... when are we finally gonna rest and get rid of this awful family already ? If they had any talent I'd be fine with them but they're literally millionaires for doing absolutely NOTHING enough with this family already .
They got the name for the 10th episode right ... ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

How low a human being must, morally and mentally, fall to follow, allegedly, the lives of these obscure and degenerate characters. I went to vomit after 8 minutes of watching this horror. 0/10.
I was so so so shocked seeing the low reviews for this show. I personally wasn't super keen on keeping up with the kardashians so was hesitant to give this new show a try.
But I LOVE it!! It's like we are actually seeing who each of the kardashians are without them holding back.
It was super relatable but honest and upfront about the affects of social media and people being bullied. No one is perfect at all but we live on a society where people are so quick to tear each other down and it's awesome seeing them bring it up and be real about it.
I finished the first season and wanted to tear up a little, so beautiful seeing such a strong family unit through it all!

If ppl don't like it, why do they watch it? I don't believe those who watch give low score. So I'd guess that haters come here just to give some hate.
I can't say reality shows is really my thing, but I watch all kind of things to have my own opinion, and here it is. Whoever says it's brainless or that Kardashians are stupid, obviously haven't watched it. All the sisters and their mom are bright and beautiful girls. Their only sin: they have a lot of money, so it is like humanity obligation to hate them. Oh, and one more sin: they use face fillers and take some fat from belly and tighs to fill bottoms, as a result they look really great so let's hate them.
Watch it, I think you can learn some things. My, well educated middle class family, could learn communication skills from them for example. I like it, nice for eyes and has a good aura. Also, face it: it is first world's reality: trend setting, fashion, entertainment, relations in showbusiness. If you want to be a savant, a prig, you need to have basic understanding of more or less everything, and these girls have an empire and are extremely influential.
Don't despise Kardashians without watching the show. Don't despise people at all. If you were so smart you wouldn't have the feeling of cotempt towards anyone.

The old show (Keeping Up With the Kardashians) had an air of comedy to it, I'm not saying it was good for a second, but it was slightly tolerable. However, the new show is something else and is just self-victimised absurdity. It feels like an SNL skit but even worse writing. They all appear miserable and unfulfilled, and completely out of touch with reality. Any "backlash" they receive they avoid accountability, and double down on their own biases and anyone that disagrees with them is a "hater". They just all come across as delusional, and making the tone of the show so heavy and dramatic just seems ridiculous. So, as the famous like goes "Kim, people are dying".

I don't understand the length people go to to hate these women. They actually come on here and mass under rate the show just out of spite. When I don't like something I don't watch it, I don't even think about it. No wonder Khloe is becoming a recluse and is afraid of crowds.
I love these women, I first started watching KUWTK the day after I decided to quit drinking (I was quite ill from alcoholism), I was at my lowest, and that day I thought "I'm gonna see what all the fuss is about, keep me thinking about something else".
Over the next 12 months almost to the day I binge watched all 286 episodes. Somehow, especially Kim and Khloe, these women have helped me find the strength to get out of bed in the morning and seek health, and exercise, and find the will to work hard and be my best self. They accompanied me via their show through my first year of recovery, through a lot of laughters and a lot of tears, and they'll forever have a special place in my recovery and my heart.
So haters be hating, but I am so happy they're back, this show is just comforting to have, it's like having neighbours, they're just there doing their thing.
Though I skip through Kourtney usually, makes me uncomfortable watching people do it in front of the cameras.

When I first started watching this show, I didn't really know how I would like it. I'm hindsight I actually love it. Of course they are not going to go into full BEHIND the scenes mode, these are the kardashians, its hard enough for them to even take a drink of water without being judged let alone waking up and getting their day started or how they parent one of their children when they break down, we get criticized all over fb for certain things as mothers. I couldn't ever imagine being criticized by THE ENTIRE WORLD.. Give them some slack, remember these people don't owe us anything.
Honestly all I hear them say is how grateful they are for one another through all the struggles they go through.

Only 33 reviews on week 4, guess I'm one of the four or five dozen people watching. As middle age spread takes hold of the kardashian Jenner clan we are shown the same old insipid nonsense. I never had an opinion about them, never watched the first show but this was on Hulu so I watched. Wish I hadn't. So boring. So desperate. So irrelevant.
