Emily Simpson must be using a new glam team because they made a major error while working with The Real Housewives of Orange County star over the weekend.
Not only did her makeup artist and hairstylist share footage of the Season 18 reunion set, but they also leaked Emily and Gina’s reunion looks by posting it online.
The culprits later removed the posts, but several blog pages had already seen and reshared the snaps by then.
Emily’s best friend, Gina Kirschenheiter, spoke out after the snafu, calling it an “accident” and urging Rhoc fans not to judge her outfit until the official ones are posted.
Bravo usually shares photos of the set and the cast looks when we’re inching close to the reunion air date.
The reunion was filmed on Sunday, October 6, and several Rhoc cast members teased the big day on their social media pages without giving anything away.

The State of the Race
While Netflix doesn’t have the best track record with getting actors an Oscar, it does have an amazing track record at getting its stars a nomination. “Roma” star Yalitza Aparicio, “Blonde” star Ana de Armas, and even “Nyad” star Annette Bening to an extent are examples of performances that were not considered shoo-ins on nomination day, yet they happened.

Things were drastically different for Ana de Armas when she initially arrived in Hollywood. While she garnered popularity for her tenure in several Cuban and Spanish shows, she was far from the decorated Hollywood giant we know her as today. Moreover, the Knives Out star’s lack of expertise in English at the time also added to the challenge.

However, this didn’t hold her back for too long, as the Oscar-nominated star overcame the issue and learned English, at a surprisingly quick pace, to star in the Keanu Reeves-led erotic thriller, Knock Knock.

The hot talk of the town, Ana de Armas is all set to make her debut in the John Wick universe with her upcoming Ballerina – a piece that sounds like it could soon have her career skyrocketing even further. Over the years since she debuted in Hollywood, the Cuban-Spanish stunner has scored enough groundbreaking roles to establish herself as a prominent figure in the entertainment industry.

While this includes bagging some really top-notch roles, with her upcoming role in Ballerina another significant addition to the list, de Armas has also commendably managed to become an Academy Award contender during the mere first decade of her career in Hollywood. This, of course, means she has a substantial net worth as well, considering how quickly she has launched herself to become a household name in Hollywood.

It’s an often-touted cliche that a great way to win an Oscar is for a performer to portray a real-life person. Cillian Murphy won Best Actor earlier this year for playing J. Robert Oppenheimer in “Oppenheimer,” Jessica Chastain took home Best Actress in 2022 for her portrayal of Tammy Faye Bakker in “The Eyes of Tammy Faye,” and Rami Malek won Best Actor in 2019 for his depiction of Freddie Mercury in “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
It’s curious, then, that Best Actress has often been rewarded to performers playing fictional characters rather than real people. Over the past decade, 28 of the 50 nominations have been for original turns, with a whopping seven of those winning out of 10. Here’s the complete breakdown.
Two out of 2024’s Best Actress nominees were nominated for playing fictional people. The others were Annette Bening (“Nyad”), Lily Gladstone (“Killers of the Flower Moon”), and Carey Mulligan (“Maestro”). However,...

Ana de Armas is one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood at the moment, solely because of the exceptional effort she’s put into her work. It has been a decade since the Cuban actress made her debut in English films, but de Armas has always looked confident with roles since the get-go.

Ten years ago, Scoot McNairy’s first collaboration with Mackenzie Davis on Halt and Catch Fire had just completed its first season on AMC, and the “little drama that could” gradually became both a critical darling and cult hit. Set in the personal computing and internet revolutions of the ‘80s and ‘90s, McNairy’s Gordon Clark and Davis’ Cameron Howe played computer geniuses who had great respect for each other’s intellects, and together with their impermanent romantic and business partners of Kerry Bishé’s Donna Clark and Lee Pace’s Joe MacMillan, the quartet’s interpersonal relationships continuously evolved amid the ever-changing landscape of the industry they helped shape.
McNairy and Davis’ characters often had a very brother-and-sister dynamic, so the Halt fan base was rocked when James Watkin’s Speak No Evil dropped its first trailer last April, unveiling McNairy and Davis’ married couple of Ben and Louise Dalton.

Ana de Armas is all set to star in Ron Howard’s survival thriller Eden. While the film has been receiving mixed reviews since its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, its main appeal seems to be the synergy of de Armas, Sydney Sweeney, and Vanessa Kirby.

A24, the company behind films like Room, Moonlight, Lady Bird, Everything Everywhere All at Once and Past Lives, is as bold and daring a distributor as any in the movie business today. Rarely has that been more evident than it is in a pair of films that they brought to the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival (to say nothing of the film that they acquired during the fest, a nearly four-hour VistaVision epic intended for projection in 70mm).
Italian filmmaker Luca Guadagnino’s Queer and Dutch filmmaker Halina Reijn’s Babygirl both came to Toronto after having their world premieres at the Venice Film Festival. Both films star bona fide Hollywood A-listers — Daniel Craig and Nicole Kidman, respectively — in highly risqué roles that explore sexual inhibitions, or lack thereof, and power dynamics. Ron Howard has always taken pride in being an eclectic filmmaker — in the last 40 years, he has made movies about mermaids, cocoons, auto factories, astronauts, firefighters, newspapers, beautiful minds, cave rescuers, the Grinch, the Da Vinci Code, the Beatles, and Pavarotti. But at the Toronto Film Festival premiere of his latest movie, “Eden,” he declared that the film stands farther apart from his other work than anything he has ever done. He’s right, though not for the reason he thinks.
“Eden,” which is based on events that unfolded 100 years ago on one of the Galápagós Islands, is a difficult movie to characterize. It’s been labeled as a “thriller,” but I would describe it as a misanthropic survivalist “Robinson Crusoe” meets “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” with deranged footnotes by Friedrich Nietzsche. For Howard, the film sure is different. Yet there’s another word for it — the word is terrible.

“Babygirl” is the latest film to premiere at the Venice Film Festival and launch its star into the awards conversation. The erotic thriller by Dutch director Halina Reijn (who previously helmed the 2022 horror comedy “Bodies Bodies Bodies”) was unveiled on August 30. It stars Nicole Kidman as a CEO who has an affair with a much younger intern (Harris Dickinson), and the reviews from the fest so far have been excellent.
Based on the first 15 reviews counted on MetaCritic, the film has a rating of 82 out of 100, indicating “universal acclaim.” Almost all of those reviews (14 out of 15) are categorized as positive. One review is mixed, but none yet are outright negative. Over on Rotten Tomatoes, where reviews are classified as simply positive or negative, the film is rated 85% fresh based on its first 13 reviews, only two of which give the movie a poor assessment.

If there is one thing Hollywood is best known for other than ‘entertainment’, it is its quirky fashion sense. Often times one or the other celebrity ends up birthing a fashion trend that ends up becoming a global phenomenon (remember last year’s Barbenheimer?). While these fashion trends change like seasons, some stand the test of time and attain legendary status. And who knows it better than Reese Witherspoon?

We thought the Deadpool & Wolverine/Taylor Swift rumours were done. However, as spoilers from the upcoming threequel find their way online thanks to a screening in China, it seems Ryan Reynolds is looking to get fans speculating again.
The actor took to Instagram today to share a never-before-seen shot of the Merc with the Mouth. It's a cool piece of imagery but presented in a way that's clearly meant to pay homage to the cover art for Swift's critically acclaimed "evermore" album.
Still not convinced? Well, Reynolds accompanied the image with the song, "evermore," playing in the background.
Does this "confirm" that Swift has a role in the movie? Not necessarily, as it may just be the actor's playful way of getting fans talking and paying homage to his real-life friend. Still, it's hard to shake the feeling that there will be a great deal of disappointment if Swift...

Apple Music named its top 10 albums of all time and it focused entirely on popular music. While some older records showed up on the list, the top spot was taken by Lauryn Hill’s The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Hill herself reacted to this ranking.
Lauryn Hill wouldn’t have made Apple Music’s top 10 albums without ‘sacrifice’
In 2024, Apple Music named The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill the greatest album ever. It beat out several other classics. The rest of the top 10 were, in ascending order, Beyoncé’s Lemonade, Nirvana’s Nevermind, Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black, Kendrick Lamar’s Good Kid, M.A.A.D City, Stevie Wonder’s Songs in the Key of Life, Frank Ocean’s Blonde, Prince and the Revolution’s Purple Rain, The Beatles’ Abbey Road, and Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Over the past week or so, Apple Music has slowly unveiled the titles included in its list of the “100 best albums.” Today, the top 10 albums were revealed, with Miss Lauryn Hill’s The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill claiming the No. 1 spot. Rounding out the top five are Michael Jackson’s Thriller; The Beatles’ Abbey Road; Prince’s Purple Rain; and Frank Ocean’s Blonde.
The top 10 also includes Stevie Wonder’s Songs in the Key of Life; Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city (Deluxe Version); Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black; Nirvana’s Nevermind; and Beyoncé’s Lemonade.
In all honestly, it’s a pretty safe top 10, especially considering the drama that unfolded when Apple unveiled picks 11-20 and slotted Adele’s 21 at No. 15 and Taylor Swift’s 1989 (Taylor’s Version) at No. 18 — ahead of albums like Dr. Dre’s The Chronic, The Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds,...

We bid farewell to Natasha Romanoff in Avengers: Endgame, and while the character did return for a prequel adventure in the Black Widow solo movie, Scarlett Johansson has made it clear that she is officially done playing the hero - but that doesn't mean she's completely finished with the MCU.
During the Black Widow press rounds a few years ago, Kevin Feige revealed that he was collaborating with Johansson in a producing capacity on a "non-Black Widow related top-secret Marvel Studios project," and the actress confirmed that she is still on board during a 2023 interview.
"It is still happening. Yes," Johansson told ComicBook.com during the Asteroid City junket. "It is still happening, [but] not currently because nothing is happening right now. We're all sort of in this holding pattern as we wait out the writers' strike and potentially our own guild strike, and so on and so forth."

Of all the roles Charlize Theron has donned to date, perhaps none comes as close to playing Furiosa in the Mad Max saga. That being said, fans also awaited for her to reprise her iconic role and return to the screens in character for the upcoming prequel and spin-off based on her character’s name. However, things went a bit downhill for her for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.
Charlize Theron (via her Instagram)
While there was a chance for her to star as the noted character in this prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road as well, she instead had to give her up to Hollywood’s currently raging heartthrob Anya Taylor-Joy. And while the younger actress says Theron holds no hard feelings toward her because of the same, the one to blame for this decision is none other than the helmer of the saga, George Miller.

Yesterday, all their troubles seemed so far away.
In 2022, Peter Rosza and Conor Woulfe sued Universal Pictures after they rented the 2019 movie “Yesterday” on Amazon Prime Video and subsequently felt they had been bamboozled by the trailer. The film, directed by Danny Boyle and written by Richard Curtis, is a zany musical fantasy in which Himesh Patel, a struggling musician, is bonked on the head and wakes up in a world in which The Beatles Never Happened. As such, he starts playing their songs as if they are his own and the movie follows the expected Preston Sturges-like tropes you might expect.
The trailer for the movie featured quite a few glimpses of the alluring Cuban-born actress Ana de Armas, later Oscar-nominated for her leading turn in “Blonde,” who ended up not being in the movie at all. An early cut included her character, but that storyline was shaved down after the movie tested poorly.

Eric Bana stars as the eponymous Chopper, Australia’s most notorious and celebrated criminal figure, in what’s been lauded as the “performance of a lifetime”. This brutally gripping true-crime feature received critical acclaim on its original release in 2000, and now Andrew Dominik’s directorial debut is available as a Limited Edition Blu-ray from Second Sight Films. It is also available in a Standard Blu-ray format.
Dominik’s (Blonde, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford) shocking and darkly entertaining film takes us into the violent world of Australia’s most infamous figure – Mark ‘Chopper’ Read – who conquered Victoria’s brutal underworld single-handedly, in a film based on his memoirs.
Bana shows his acting chops in this seminal, career defining role of bonafide villain Chopper, and he brings the outrageous true story to the screen with maximum force. The brutality and nonchalance of the life and crimes of the one-man mafia,...

Interviewing Vegyn isn’t easy. After three months of back-and-forth, I’m finally given a time to meet him on a gray day in early March at a coffee spot in east London. I’ve been eager to make this happen. Vegyn’s career is one of the most impressive in modern music, distinguished by collaboration, style, and a fair amount of mystery.
What, for instance, is his relationship with Frank Ocean, for whom Vegyn produced songs on both Blonde and Endless? What is it like working with Travis Scott,...

For her “unofficial” 2009 John Lennon biopic Nowhere Boy, Sam Taylor-Johnson had so little music to work with that the opening chord of “Hard Day’s Night” pretty much had to carry the whole movie. You might think that history would repeat for Back to Black, the short but fast-lived story of Amy Winehouse, who rose to international fame in her teens and never saw 28, never mind 30. Surprisingly, the Winehouse estate is all in, and although one might argue that the singer’s trainwreck notoriety has been slightly snow-washed to protect the living, there’s still a surprisingly hard edge here, in a rare film that gives rock ’n’ roll agency to a woman for once, like a reverse-angle Sid & Nancy.
In a way, any music biopic is off to a bad start, since there’s always going to be the curse of symmetry: everything must square with what we already know,...

Nick Cave and his longtime collaborator Warren Ellis have teamed up to score the forthcoming Amy Winehouse biopic Back to Black.
Cave and Ellis composed “about 20-30 minutes” of music for the film’s score. Additionally, Cave has contributed a new song called “Song for Amy” that will appear on the soundtrack.

In 99% of Hollywood movies, the goal is to make the stunt work invisible. Audiences are supposed to believe that the star — or better yet, the character he plays — put his own life at risk jumping off buildings, blowing up cars or duking it out with squads of bad guys. In “The Fall Guy,” the stuntman gets to be the hero (of an insanely overcomplicated story), while the star is a prima donna who claims to do all his own stunts but needs his double to step in when things get tough.
“The Fall Guy” is funny, it’s sexy, and it features the boy’s-toy version of “Barbie” scene-stealer Ryan Gosling — which is to say, after playing a Ken doll, now he embodies the ultimate action figure. This is the charisma-radiating side of Gosling audiences love (as opposed to expressionless “Only God Forgives” Gosling), and though his character doesn’t have much depth,...

Despite getting rave reviews from viewers and delivering plenty of drama, the series was canceled in 2013.
Thanks to fan demands, it returned to the air as a Peacock original in 2021, where it spent two seasons before returning to Bravo.
Armed with a mix of old and new cast members, the revamp grabbed our attention and hasn’t let go since.
Every cast member delivers in all the areas expected, including the housewives’ friends, who sometimes overshadow the main stars.
It’s been quite the journey, but unfortunately, the show hasn’t cut through the cultural zeitgeist like the other cities.

Sam Taylor-Johnson’s upcoming Amy Winehouse biopic “Back to Black” may have access to the late singer’s globally recognized back catalog, but another legendary musician is lending his talents to the project.
Nick Cave, alongside his long-time collaborator Warren Ellis, is scoring the StudioCanal and Focus Features film, which sees “Industry” star Marisa Abela play Winehouse. Abela is joined by a cast including Jack O’Connell (playing Blake Fielder-Civil), Eddie Marsan (Mitch Winehouse), Juliet Cowan (Janis Winehouse) and Lesley Manville.
Variety has been given an exclusive photo taken of Cave, Ellis and Taylor-Johnson recording in the studio earlier this week.
While Winehouse’s own songs, such as “Back to Black” (which featured in the recent trailer), “Valerie” and “Rehab” will undoubtedly take center stage in the film (with most recorded and performed by Abela), Cave and Ellis are understood to have composed about 20-30 minutes of music.
