When the characters first approach the roadside diner the glass front doors are emblazoned with the ironic name of the establishment: "Last Chance Diner." However, when the camera perspective changes to show the characters entering the diner, the front door simply states "Diner."
The signs on the wall advertise various kinds of soda for sale, though he only sells water, and as the film progresses, many kinds of candy appear on the counter, and the food moves around for each position of the camera. When looking at the young women, there is a pie before the tray of fruit, but when facing the older man, there is a tray of fruit but no pie to the left of it.
The clock on the wall in the diner never moves from 7:54pm.
When the characters are driving at the beginning you can see the background outside of the car doesn't move or change, even though they are supposed to be moving.
The first policeman's shoulder patch reads, "Metropolitan Police," but he is driving a "Highway Patrol" car.
