Somehow “Thor” and “The Last Stand” star Jaimie Alexander ended up in France shooting an action movie called “Intersection”, the trailer for which you can check out below. The film, which appears to be partially in English, finds Alexander playing one half of a freshly married couple who are on their honeymoon in Morocco, when they get into a deadly car accident in the middle of the desert, then guys with guns show up and shenanigans ensue. An earlier synopsis for the film actually spoils a pretty big plot point of the movie, but in case you were interested in tracking this movie down after spying the trailer below, I’m going to let you find out what happens by yourself and be surprised. You’re welcome. The film’s French trailer is below. There are enough English that you can understand what’s happening, but it would definitely help if you could read French,...

French-Moroccan actor Roschdy Zem (he's starred in a few films directed by French-Algerian filmmaker Rachid Bouchareb, like Outside The Law, a film covered on this site in the past), stars in this Luc Besson-produced actioner set in the Sahara desert, titled Intersection. Witten and directed by David Marconi, Intersection follows a diverse group of survivors of a terrible crash in the Sahara, each with an interesting story, and in some case, shady pasts and motivations, who find themselves prisoners of the desert, as they fight to survive and hopefully escape. The film is set to open in France in January 2013. No word on whether it'll travel, although I won't be...

Chicago – “The Twilight Saga” is about to sing its Bella Swan song, as the final film in the series – “Breaking Dawn - Part 2” – opens on November 16th. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and the gangs of vampires and werewolves are wrapping it up, and two of the supporting actors – Daniel Cudmore and Charlie Bewley – will move on to other projects.
Cudmore and Bewley were in Chicago recently to promote “Breaking Dawn - Part 2” and reflect about the influence of the popular film series. Both have been with the saga since the second film, “New Moon,” and play vampires Felix (Cudmore) and Demetri (Bewley) in the Volturi coven. Daniel Cudmore is also known for his character Colossus in the 2006 film “X-Men: The Last Stand,” and Charlie Bewley is a British actor who has landed roles in some upcoming independent films.

Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 opens Friday and Summit Entertainment sent two actors to St. Louis last week to help promote the film. Charlie Bewley plays the vampire Demetri and Daniel Cudore plays the vampire Felix. Both are members of the Volturi clan.
Charlie Bewley (Demetri) made his major motion picture debut as the Volturi Demetri in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, followed by The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 1.
A former athlete with a penchant for travel and adventure, Bewley only took up acting five years ago, but already has a string of recent successes to his name: co-staring in the 2011 Sundance Grand Jury winner Like Crazy, and also playing a key lead alongside a stellar ensemble cast in Russian/Us collaboration Soldiers of Fortune.

At this point, we're beginning to suspect that in order to cast her still-untitled film about the mission to kill Osama Bin Laden, Kathryn Bigelow incepted us, found out all our favorite actors and actresses, and put them in her movie. First, she cast Australian actor Jason Clarke from "Brotherhood," and "Parks & Recreation" scene stealer Chris Pratt. Then came rising star Joel Edgerton, of "Warrior" not-quite-fame, along with "Carlos" star Edgar Ramirez, 'Tinker Tailor' stand out Mark Strong, and The Playlist's Woman of the Year 2011, Jessica Chastain. And after that? The always-wonderful Jennifer Ehle, and Coach Taylor himself, "Friday Night Lights" and "Super 8" star Kyle Chandler, along with Harold Perrineau Jr, Nash Edgerton and Fares Fares.
But despite filming having been underway for months, it seems that Bigelow isn't quite done hitting our sweet spot, as Variety reports that Frank Grillo, who co-starred with Edgerton in "Warrior," and was...

End of Watch, which isn’t hitting until September 28th, is an interesting, and somewhat strange choice for Jake Gyllenhaal. At least, it seems that way to me. A gritty, police-centric action-drama, the film follows two cops who piss off the wrong people, and find themselves on a drug cartel’s hit list.
The trailer shows some potential, but it’s hard to tell how well this one is going to go over, especially considering the camera stylings this one is going with, which some may find too gimmicky by now. Whatever you may think, you aren’t likely to see many trailers that go through more rounds of ammunition. Take a look and let me know what you think.
End Of Watch stars Academy Award® nominee Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña as young Los Angeles police officers Taylor and Zavala as they patrol the city’s meanest streets of south central Los Angeles.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead gave one of her best performances in her career in Smashed. Now the actress will follow that up with a movie called The Darkness. She'll be reprising her role as the Lady Sif in Thor 2 before too long, but before that, Jaimie Alexander has opted for some less fantastical thrills in Intersection. She'll star alongside Frank Grillo (The Grey) in the murderous tale, which is being directed by David Marconi.Alexander and Grillo play a married couple, but Alexander is cheating on her husband and plotting his death with the help of her lover. The plan goes askew when the husband and his rival are stranded together after a car crash on a remote Moroccan desert road. This being a Europacorp production, Luc Besson is producing along with Gareth Upton (Colombiana), and had a hand in the screenplay. Marconi is credited as a writer on the film too, and this seems to be the first time he's directed since the crime thriller The Harvest in 1992. He also wrote Enemy Of The State and...
