With streaming platforms and studios screaming about 'content' , some sadly forget about the content of a wonderfully crafted and entertaining story. This one shines above many with bigger budgets and starpower. Expertly written and acted by Jennifer Sorensen, this film plays all the notes for two sisters finding themselves on an unexpected road trip, filled with strife, struggle, acceptance, healthy doses of humor , and an aversion to IPA brews . So many wonderful moments and heartfelt performances in this film! A reminder that we always need good stories and how we heal through storytelling.

For When You Get Lost is an indie movie with a great story and so much heart! The writing, acting, directing, and cinematography are all incredible. I never knew exactly where the story was gonna go and that kept me invested. The subjects of overcoming your own faults and mistakes, while also dealing with family trauma and grief are all so relatable. I really love the complex dynamics among all the characters as well. I also appreciated that it's a female-led story with a diverse cast. And I loved the soundtrack! Bravo to the entire team behind this film! This one is definitely worth watching!
Loved this film so hard! This is a glorious, wonderful & welcome return to OG independent cinema. Imagine Sideways but with beer, and a female lens. And if that doesn't make you want to watch it, I can't help you. I loved this story so much. Not just because so many friends were part of the making of it. But because I got absolutely lost in the storytelling, with heart pings throughout, reminding me why stories like this one need to be told. Uplifting. Inspired. Funny throughout. I am so proud of these filmmakers. Do yourself a favor and watch this film. Rent it. Buy it. Whatever. Just watch it! Beautiful. Profound. A reminder of the things that really matter in this world. Mix Greta Gerwig with Lena Dunham, add a dollop of Judd Apatow, and then stir in some Cameron Crowe ... and you'll have a sense of the neighborhood you need to visit.
